This now triggered me to come ask here whether you cares about what people says or sees you as when gambling, I know there are people who don't know you from time or who doesn't believe that you are a gambler and if it happens that you came across such people and their reaction towards you goes other way round would you care about it or you just totally ignore them?

It depends on who said it. Because I appreciate and understand the opinions of people who truly knows me (family and close friends) since they are just concern and it's understandable (even the words are not so nice to hear). However, if you're just someone who judge me based on what you see (and we're not even close) I just ignore it.

I'm just playing in moderation and I know better myself more than anyone else. So regardless of what they say I just ignore them. Because if you let yourself be affected it will only give you stress. Thus, as long as you're not doing anything wrong then you don't owe them an explanation.

Yes the point is to each their own on this issue, in any case and not in the world of gambling alone for myself honestly don't really care what other people say about anything I do, for me the most important thing is that I don't harm anyone in any way. first of all, I very rarely gamble or access gambling outside the house and only enjoy gambling at home or in my room so no one will say anything except friends who know about my and my wife's gambling activities. I think the OP meant, first of all, the opinion of close people, and here this position “I don’t care about everyone, I myself know how to act” does not work. If you live in a family, then even some personal things concern not only you, and even more so potentially dangerous things like gambling.
If we are talking about strangers, then I again disagree with you - public criticism in this case is unacceptable because it is aggression. Back to your question, I never care about what say about my gambling and I never gamble to the level that the same people who have negative feelings about my gambling will later have a say about it due to addiction.

I believe only my parents' opinion about my gambling could really affect me. I only gamble when I have some free time and want to challenge my brain a bit, it's not a constant thing. Only people who are strangers and lack understanding of your feelings and nature will draw critical conclusions and with people who only appear for a few hours in our lives, it's hard to think too much and put too much emphasis on negative emotions in their words, touching them only makes them become hungry and cling to us endlessly to see our submission. I am a person with an open mind- I tend to listen to the opinion of others and try to associate myself with them. I see it as an objective perspective on their part especially if they share something that is deeply rooted against my gambling habits that will overall provide me an insight about my addiction.

The only time that I do tend to ignore some of my colleagues is when they share something without any basis. If they are strongly against my gambling habits without substantiating it with proof or any real-life scenarios, then I tend to ignore them.

At the end of the day, these people can see something that I do not see within myself. Since addiction (in general) can blur one's rationalization, then it is better to stop and listen to what they have to say about you.

You are risking your own money so no one has the right to criticize us on our activities. Do they ?  Unless we have taken loan from them or we are dependent upon them (which we are not in most cases), they why they will tell us what is good for us and what is bad for us. We are losing our own money, so there is nothing for them to worry. Yes, our own family members may ask us, because the family members are very much linked with us, but not the outsiders.
I guess, if anyone tries to interfere in our matters , we should give them a strong reaction so they never try it again, gambling is our decision, and not theirs.

Yes if the comment or opinion comes from your parents because for example they know that you are one  of the gamblers involved in one of the casinos especially those based online then I think you or we should consider, I agree with you that if the opinion comes from parents then it seems like I have to do something better between reducing my gambling  involvement or stopping instantly (if possible), but otherwise if the person who has the income or comment is someone else especially those we don't know then obviously I might just smile a little to hear it.

All the decisions are entirely up to me and maybe if they give good enough criticism in the sense that it leads to  something positive then obviously I will definitely respect their ideas with a little consideration if needed. So the point remains that both parents must be respected in any  case because everything they do and suggest is also for our own good.
