A person's decision to gamble is a very absolute decision from themselves so it does not need to be linked to other people, although it is also not wrong to accept advice from other people regarding gambling. But basically every gambling that we carry out is absolutely from our own intentions without having to interfere with other people because everyone uses their own money for this. Apart from that, we also feel losing and winning in gambling ourselves, even though other people also experience the same thing in their gambling, but the feelings of sadness and happiness that arise through gambling are individual.

Like you said, you were on some business trip and naturally everything needs to be aligned in that theme but considering you went off course and one of the people you were with saw what you were doing would easily dent your privacy...and what if this person was a senior manager or supervisor they would easily say that that the reason for the drop of performance at work is because you are distracted with the gambling and to avoid all this better gamble in your own space of privacy.

I’m gambling for so many years yet my colleagues or family member doesn’t know what I’m doing because I don’t share this information to other people simply because I have nothing to gain by doing that while there’s a lot of cons if you share it to somebody. True, unless if there's someone you do know that you are gambling or inside to your family telling about on the things that you are involved with on which it wouldnt really be not shocking if ever there would really be some leaking because these are the only possible ways on where those information that do came from. Its true that we are on a digital world and if you would really be tending to hide it up into everyones eyes
on what you are doing online then there's no way that they could really be able to tell that you are doing gambling not unless if you've been letting showing other people then they could really be able to say such thing but if there's none then there's no way that they could be able to say up those words.

Mutual respect for each other is the key to living in harmony. I think you are a little mistaken in your own actions by opening an account or registering an online gambling account in a public place. For me, the advantage of online gambling is that it makes it easier for us to keep secrets about our gambling habits by doing it in a place that we like.

That's right, those critics need to be taught few things about responsible gambling. Their problem with gambling is as regards to addiction. What it does to a player, how addiction can ruin people's finances etc are the few reason why the non gamblers tend to say annoying things to gamblers. However, what people say doesn't add up to my habit provided it doesn't hurt them or affect their emotions. The problematic development of non gamblers is their ignorance to the benefits of gambling. If they had the idea of responsible players, their first comment whenever a gambler is sighted would have been whether the player is responsible or not.

Generally, in most societies, it's assumed that gamblers are failures. And most people had this thoughts while growing up. Now as adult they still think that every gambler would end up addicted or compulsive. That's the reason most of them still have wrong perspectives on gamblers. There is no problem with me taking advice from other people for gambling but I am not willing to take any advice from other people that has any negative effect on my gambling. I know how to gamble and how to stay within my limits when gambling. In taking any decision, I will take the decision that I understand best because I am the owner of that money. Not everyone's advice will always be acceptable to me. If I lose my money by my own mistake there will be my satisfaction but if I lose my money on other's advice it is hard to bear. I will prioritize my own decision no matter what others say.

Yes as long as you're not harming them or as long as you're not gambling with their money then obviously there's no point in paying attention to criticism from people like that, but yes like you said unless the criticism is constructive and leads you to better things, like for example they advise you to take a lot of precautions and gamble with only the money you can afford to lose then obviously it's not a criticism but a helpful suggestion that leads to precautions.

Actually, no matter what your situation is, whether you are addicted or not I think filtering out some of the criticism that other people throw at you is a necessary action, because for example out of 10 people who comment there are probably 5 - 9 people who give positive comments that advise you to for example be more careful or suggest other things that are useful for safety while you are involved in gambling.

They don't like seeing us playing gambling and worry if we gets the problems from gambling so they will say many things to us, including saying that we can becomes addicted to gambling. If you don't listen to them because you thinks you can take care of yourself while playing gambling, you will not thinks too serious with what their saying. Nowadays only in not so well developed countries people like to talk about each other life,in people where life is rushing and is very fast paced in general no one has time to deal with what you are doing or with what activity you are spending your time.Of course in the offline casinos in any country people will talk,look at that person going to the casino and losing money and we cannot stop this general judgement against gamblers,this is passed on by generations to generations.I mean in a country not really fast paced like the one where I live,people invade your privacy and ask you things that they shouldn't like coming near you and trying to see what are you doing with your phone,making you at risk even when you do online gambling.

In an environment where gambling is not welcomed, it is very common to get unsolicited advice and recommendations from families, friends and even strangers on matters relating to gambling. Development alone won't get rid of the stereotype, the gamblers in such an environment have a role to play to ensure that people see gambling as every other fun activity where you still get the chance to earn when you win.

What do you expect when out of 100 gamblers in an environment,  50 are irresponsible. People will always talk because they feel you are irresponsible and lazy.
