Yeah, you nailed it! It's a drag when people are stuck in the past, especially about something that can be totally chill and fun if you're smart about it. But whatever floats their boat, right?  There's no reason to waste energy , time trying to convince those who are unwilling to consider alternative viewpoints. We'll continue to enjoy our fun activity, knowing our limits so we're acting responsibly and within our means. In the end, their disapproval reflects more on them than it does on us. Yes, that's right because however criticism is something that we will always find because this is one part of life, whether we like it or not, the fact is that there will always be some people who don't really like us where sometimes they like to find our mistakes. True, our job is only to find out about which ones are indeed a fact where we can make the criticism as a lesson to be better, the fact is that changes for the better will always be caused by the absurd things we have done, therefore as I said earlier that it never hurts to filter out some incoming comments with the aim that we can find out about what our mistakes are that we have to fix for the good of ourselves.

I know that we don't have enough money to please some people, but I think that if some people criticize us it is because they have a lot of free time to dedicate to us, which I see as a waste of time, what do I gain by criticizing someone? nothing, but I don't know what the person who makes them feel bad for their comments gains, if I do what I like I do it and that's it, I don't hurt anyone, so for me it's enough. I used to take seriously the friendly warnings and harsh criticisms that people in my inner circle would give me. But at some point, I realized that I shouldn't care what they think and say about me. I live my life to fulfill myself. I shape my life with my own choices. If I'm obsessed with what others say, I can't shape my life and I can't fulfill my life. I still pretend to listen to them. One of the reasons why gambling always sounds bad in the eyes of society is because they only see in terms of the bad effects that have been experienced by previous people who have experienced the bad effects of gambling due to being in the addiction phase, but they cannot see that there is a little positive side in gambling, namely that it can entertain ourselves when we are bored in the middle of free time. But on the other hand, I can't blame society's point of view because after all, it is true that gambling can have a very negative impact if gamblers do it in the wrong way.

Sorry but I think it's not something easy to do. You can ignore your neighbors who know about your gambling activities, but you cannot ignore the negative impacts that result. They said there was a point in time in which they did not care about what people said about their gambling, but apparently they live in a society which looks down on gamblers so much this was affecting their marriage prospects, so they had to care and show they had changed, and now they are back to not caring as they can gamble online and no one will find out, and to me this makes sense, because we do not live on the middle of nowhere so we can completely disregard the opinion of others, and as long as we live in a civilized society we must abide to its social customs, or at least pretend to, and online gambling allows those that may be judged negatively for it to avoid that judgment.

Yeah, gambling have rally been useful to us all in one way or the other, It Helped me fix my laptop in my earlier days, but a smart phone, helped me in the final months of my university education and made me an  early days big boy back then. Although without much knowledge about gambling in moderation, I lost a lot to addiction, but not to be compared with my wins, but I really lost considerable amount. I learned my lessons and have been gambling responsibly ever since. I think the importance of gambling in moderation and having a gambling budget cannot be overemphasized. It should be the first thing that's introduced to anyone who intends gambling.

Casinos  should display this advise for any new account registered to help new gamblers know its importance and  also serve as a reminder for those that are already in the know. Okay, today I was actually out for a little business and it happens that I almost spent all my time wasted without me even having a smooth deal, but along the line I have few games that I have placed a bet and was wanting to view my games from my phone since gambling is now mobile, what I meant by mobile is that you can access your account at any place provided that you have an internet connectivity you will login to monitor your matches.

So when I logged in, someone close to me easily peep from my left hand side and noticed that I just opened my account monitoring my games, at this point what he said is "ahh you don join dem"? Meaning you have also belong to the groups of people that gambles?

I don’t see anything bad in gambling, the only thing bad about gambling is addiction. In most societies, addicted gamblers already make people believe that gambling is a bad activity, so if you are found in a society like this, if people know that you are a gambler, they will start thinking you are a bad person in the society. They don’t care if you are an addicted gambler or just gambling for fun. If I am in a society like this, I will always hide my gambling activity because I won’t want to spoil my reputation in the society. It’s better that nobody knows that I am a gambler.

Haha, don't be so harsh. I know that when people are very much meddling with what we do, we should just tell them to go away from us. But I understand that when you become frustrated and didn't take those warnings you have given that person to stop what he's been doing because it is very uncomfortable to you. If it's too annoying and it took me 2-3 warnings to stop then I'd probably raise my voice as well but I'd be mild not to shout.

But that's the problem in our society. If you're a normal gambler, they'd classify you still as an addicted gambler. So, whether you explain it to them or not, you've been judged already and that's why we shouldn't care to what they say because they are careless to what they say to the gamblers that they don't even know in real life. We're already immune to these bad impressions that we're getting from the society just because we're gamblers. And if we're the one to judge these people, we'll still be judged for being judgmental to them.

Are you 18+? Is gambling allowed in your country? Do you work? Do you have debts? If there are 3 yes and the last one is no, then I see no reason why would you bother about what other think about you gambling. What would change if everyone finds out about you gambling? Will family stop loving you? Will something change in the world? If the overall impression and your reputation is good, then there is nothing to worry about what people say about you gambling.

But there are times that it could start good conversations. I trust 2 neighbors of mine and they are close to me whenever we go out for a drink I always tell them about my gambling experience for the week especially if it's about sports and they will tell me theirs too.
I guess it will depend on the person you are talking to. Some would just not accept it especially if they are traditional who think gambling is still evil nowadays. My relatives were like that when I was young, gambling is prohibited in our house in a strict mode.

We have always a choice, to either gamble wherever we are, in public transportation or in a coffee shop or whenever we would love when we're outside our homes. Or, to do it secretly in our rooms or wherever we are comfortable with and no one is going to know that. That's the way it goes for most of the gamblers that want their spaces not to get invaded by any stranger and they don't want others to see them gamble in real life because it's either, they're protecting their reputation and profession and don't want to be known as a gambler.

That's fine and we're all for that. As long as you are gambling with your money and you're not affecting anyone with what you have. That's the way to go because if you're always going to get affected with those people that are telling bad things about you when you gamble, you have to deal with it or deal with them or do something about it so that you will not hear them anymore.

When you start trying to change a gambling habit you may feel midway through what's the point of giving up then immediately remember why you started and what the outcome might be.
