Hi

I just purchased S19j pro +, Miner was working and tested in front of me before i bought it.

After installing my miner at home (this is my second miner). I could not connect to mining pool with standard antminer software.

Then i installed brain os, and i had pop up Dev fee server is not connected. But after pressing okay. The miner started hashing perfectly at 120 TH, after 12 hours miner shutted down.

I could'nt even acces the miner with the standard login of brain os wich is root.

After reset i could login again.

Would you mind trying to revert all configurations on the router instead and then setup the IP settings manually on the unit and switch to static mode make sure to use the same IP that you use when accessing the unit and then add DNS and try to test again let's see if it would connect to the mining pool you want. You can also do this on Braiins OS.

Maybe the pool server that you use is blocked by your ISP which is why the unit can't connect to this pool.

Can you mention here what pool did you use?

If you are a bit confused go to IP settings you should be able to see this below without booting it to Braiins OS and follow the config below.

Why did you assume that it's your router blocking Braiins OS? it doesn't make sense, if it does -- it would likely block the main pool you using as well, which also explains why the miner did not operate fine with the default firmware

This is bad news then, the miner could be infected with a nightswitcher or some other type of miner virus, otherwise, I see no connection between connecting to the pool and connecting to the miner locally, you also said you have another miner running which means we know neither your router nor ISP is blocking pool connections, so it's likely an issue with the mienr itself.

I would revert back to the original firmware, and use custom DNS like Max suggested, and then troubleshoot form there.. keep in mind if your miner is indeed infected it could inject the other miner you have running so make sure you isolate it for now.

Do NOT place that miner in a DMZ. There is no need to expose it to the internet.

Make sure you have the AI protection disabled on that router.

Asus uses TrendMicro for their "AI Protection" which flags and blocks any type of crypto mining.
