Things in Binance Under New CEO - What are your thoughts?

With the kind skills the new binance CEO have showcased in some few months he has spend in the office, show that he will do better than the formal CEO of binance that was guilty on some fraud activities that made him to resigned so that the company will not collapse.

You can see some new development in Binance since this CEO took over from the formal CEO and, if you enter some sectors in binance, you will begin to see some information that will cooling your mind to remain with binance because they have what it takes to protect their customers fund not to disappear like the way other people coins use to disappear in some exchange.

I haven't experienced much changes though, but I think the new CEO is doing just fine. I expected worse but to my greatest surprise he is still keeping the company in a good shape. One of things that might have triggered the fear of expecting bad performance from binance is after they removed some swap trading pairs, because the regulator and SEC was at their neck. But today I still use binance and am satisfied with their performance, I hope nothing changes.

I haven’t noticed too much difference on the exchange, business side of things. Maybe the social media accounts are a little less edgy, a bit boring since Teng became the main man. I’m not too sure if that’s a good or bad thing for business. CZ is probably still covertly pulling the strings on the main business decisions, unbeknown to authorities. Binance is his baby after all.

Perhaps I am not the only one here who did not find any difference or new things under the new CEO of Binance. It is worth noting that despite Richard Teng's excellent experience in the crypto field and his qualification to lead a platform the size of Binance, CZ, since he is the founder of Binance and has spent many years managing Binance since the beginning of its establishment, he has the most excellent knowledge. New things were already in place before his resignation.

The new CEO has not completed a year since he managed Binance, so he is still at the beginning of his journey. Indeed, we found many projects launched in Binance's LaunchPad and numerous promotional events for the platform. Most importantly, Binance is working well and organized, and this is all Binance customers want and what CZ wants to ensure its continued success and market dominance. Even if people do not currently see new things under Teng's leadership, perhaps they will in the future; it's just a matter of time.

yes, more adopting new token tokens, the commercial path is so quickly seen after the change by Richard Teng, but somehow not so visible, especially social media, maybe I'm just used to seeing CZ on Twitter, with news news, especially the community, CZ besides having a company also has a personality like an investor, indeed CZ makes binance like rarely adopting new tokens, it can be a few weeks or even months. binance services so far I use very often because it is faster and easier for me. whoever the leadership aims to advance binance, as long as it is safe, fast and still a favorite that is my highlight is very helpful, that's just my assessment and maybe different personalities, especially the personal branding that richard has.

I heard some rumors and I've mentioned it here on the forum. People are speculating that Binance are giving these tokens fast track access from launchpad to listing to ensure that they can recoup some of their "Binance Labs" investments to use for more important things like CZ vs United States of America case.  Seeing that they lost $4.8B to that fine they paid to the DOJ, they need fresh money from somewhere else otherwise they might start compromising their proof of reserves.

I'm glad they are doing the previous, not the latter.

The Co-Founder and Previous CEO of Binance  Changpeng Zhao resigned amid legal issues on November 21, 2023, he had been serving as the CEO since Pojrect was Launched, After his departure Binance Appointed Richard Teng as the Company's New CEO.

So what do you think about him and how he manages things?

I have noticed one big difference so far, Binance now listing new tokens quicker than before.  The last 3 tokens were listed within 2 weeks one after another after few days of launchpool farming.

Before that, they used to be very picky.

What do you guys think about that?

Seems like a good fit. Altthougt i liked the fact that CZ was more like a coder than leader, because i felt like it had a future and a vision, like for building their own chain and dex at the start. I feel like with current leadership any kind of technogical development will not be a priority for a long time. And i really hope that CZ managed to hire right people with talents and vision, and those won't get kicked out because marketing needs more room or other bs.

But their current goals seem reasonable, although i am certain that they will be even more compliant even more if possible. That will alert some of the libertarians in here if they weren't alerted before.
On a plus side, they might get binance card back to europe.

I have noticed it now and I can’t tell if it is a change that came from the new CEO or it is just a coincidence that more projects are being launched during his reign. However, no matter what, I would choose Changpeng Zhao over and over again. I like his personality and how he talks, acts, and even engages with people. If id be honest, this new CEO doesn’t seem so interesting to me. But it’s not about being interesting, as long as he delivers rightfully for the good of the company.

The new CEO is working very to make sure that the project is one of the best ever in the cryptocurrency ecosystem Exchanges. And another I also noticed from the new CEO is that, it has embedded new extra security for the p2p which not there when the former CEO was there. Now you have to run three different securities before releasing the coins to the buy or the seller. I appreciate the new guy for his good work.

Let's be honest, can he support the crypto community like CZ ?

In every CYCLE everytime there has some (FUD) on Crypto especially on Binance, CZ are quite active to defend or give update about the case while everything is under control (SAFU, etc).

I love how he really care about the ecosystem and not just only his service exchange platform.

   In my personal and honest opinion, I also prefer the management done by CZ. In the several years of Binance's existence and the number of times a hacker has entered their platform, I have never once seen them abandon their client holders in exchange for themselves.

   Is it the feeling that even if bugs or hackers get into Binance, you as its user will not be worried about the fund you have here in BnB? Honestly speaking, because cz will not let your fund be moved, it doesn't matter if you subscribe to Binance. That's the beauty of cz's administration. Unlike now, I feel a little less comfortable using it.

Yes really Dear, You are right CZ was a good CEO and was quite active in defending the ecosystem of the Binance.  well, what can we do now as the system is out of our hands. I remember one of our community member was suggesting someone to invest in BNB which I think is no longer a good option to hold BNB because we don't know what are the ideas of the new Binance CEO.

We all know that Binance was too picky while listing new projects and now these days they are listing one after one new coin haha.. well what do you think dear holding funds on Binance is safe or not? As far as I remember, a couple of days ago I read one post on their Twitter handle in which they were saying your funds are in safe hands. after the resignation of CZ, many people extracted their funds from the Binance exchange and transferred to other exchanges & personal wallets.

Honestly, if you ask me, I think CZ is paying the price for exposing Sam Bankman and FTX. For those who don't know Sam was along the biggest donators for the Biden government and you would see all the media coverage supporting Sam because of that reason only. Once they found a way to target CZ, they did just that.

But as far as trust goes, I feel that Binance is pretty safe. Although never keep our funds in CEX.

The US government is not just against Binance, but after every centralized exchange and yeah Sam may be a probable cause for this but it ain't one man's decision either the government is trying to scare the exchanges so they can take complete control of them and thigs are going in their way so far.

The change in the leadership may change the way how US treats the crypto platforms. I don't think so.

It was the leader who led the whole team to success and zao was really that leader for binance. From a new exchange that launched in 2017 with its BNB token to its whole ecosystem with project in the BNB chain, it was a fulfilling journey for zao. That was a golden time for binance but now that Zao is out of binance we don't know if it will have similar leadership or not. What i think is binance will be replaced by FTX after its relaunch, and because FTX exchange itself wasn't that bad but the management was greedy.

That is the typical CZ that we know, always gets the interest and the attention of everyone through social media and I guess that is always fine on him. He likes to get them at any time that there are some issues that needs his hot take but with Teng, maybe he'll be the same soon.

But regarding this kind of change in top officials for me it is normal and is likely to happen in many companies, the most important thing is that the new person who holds the position is able to provide better policies than the previous person.

as long as it is thoroughly reviewed by the binance team themselves i think its gonna be fine, in fact as I've seen lately those new coin listed are generally being invested first hand by the binance labs, meanwhile there are indeed some altcoin that are listed out of the blue but most of them are the coins that have hypes and also deemed to be good enough by binance also its because they want to pump that trading volume number up.
so its kinda understandable speaking from business perspective after all credibility is gonna be fine if the coin they listed are not some random meme coin.
under this new CEO nothing much has changed, its as if he just following the roadmap that binance already has since CZ is still ceo because im sure as heck that they definitely have roadmap for their future planning.

I think it's still too early to judge just based on the token listing rules they have? The new CEO is fundamentally different from CZ, which was really active among the crypto scene. You can't help but see his name and his opinions every now and then after all. As for the rules and stuff that they have on their exchange, I don't think I've experienced any big changes so far and I hardly doubt we'd see any in the foreseeable future as well. In the first place, CZ stepped down due to a violation AML, not issues with the internal rules of the exchange itself.

You are right. I also think removing those tokens from swap was enforced by regulators, (don't know if that was SEC or another one) or maybe because they were not performing well. but I don't thnk removing them had affected Binance exchange a lot.

I don't follow Binance in social media so don't know if there is any changes, but don't they have social media managers for that? I mean I don't think CZ was posting under official accounts, neither do new CEO. so they shouldn't change. unless new CEO fired the old guy and hired a new CM.

I have been using binance for quite a long time for now and it has provided me a flawless exchange environment with one of the lowest trade fees and withdrawal fees. The US SEC fiasco made no difference on how I've been using the exchange. I had followed CZ on twitter and now his X's have decreased in X. Other than that CZ made no different in my real or virtual life. There's been a general tendency of me focusing more on DEX than any Centralized exchange these days but that has nothing to do with binance. Preference on BSC network than even cheaper Polygon could be a bias but I'm not sure.

I share the same sentiment but it is hard to neglect what has transpired over the last few months.

Let me start by asking you a simple question. Did you know any employees or director's names other than CZ before the fiasco? I would bet not. That's because Binance always developed under the shadow of CZ and it's hard to believe the company running without him.

This is almost similar to what happened with Bitboy crypto, who was terminated from his own company. We don't know who is at fault but there is a trust gap after such incidents.
