First that I've seen this list of ads about bitcoin, nice list mate. Not a US citizen but I'm curious if people are still able to watch any of the shows on free television with all of this ads because I assume that these ads are just a small percentage of the ads that's run on US television, or are they in some kind of agreement to do ads on different TV channels or something like that? I wish I could see one bitcoin ads here in my country, wouldn't hurt that people would know that they've got a chance at financial freedom with bitcoin, maybe there's just not a lot of investment companies here that want the money of the common people I guess.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

this is a big scam, because it is much safer to buy real bitcoin compared to this bitcoin etf considering that it is centralized and prone to manipulation.
I'm not sure how much of a scam it is in the true sense of the word, but I think the appeal to most investors (those who aren't crypto- or tech-savvy at least) is that it's easier to just buy shares in an ETF than it is to use a crypto exchange that they might not be familiar with or true, and they don't have to worry about keeping their own bitcoin safe.

As far as manipulation goes, the ETF should be pegged to the value of bitcoin, right?  I would assume that if the ratio ever got out of whack that arbitrageurs would step in to correct the imbalance pretty quickly--but I'd also think that it'd be easier to manipulate a bitcoin ETF than it would be to manipulate the bitcoin market itself.

These commercials are all on social media?  I don't watch TV, so I'm wondering if all of these things are being advertised on the old boob-tube.  That sounds really out of date as I write it, but it'd be a huge sign that bitcoin has gone as mainstream as it could ever go if that were the case.

this is a big scam, because it is much safer to buy real bitcoin compared to this bitcoin etf considering that it is centralized and prone to manipulation.
It is good if you choose to be your own custodian and don't buy Bitcoin Spot ETF shares and rely on third party custodians.

It's your Bitcoin private key, it's your bitcoins, you are custodian of your own Bitcoin bank. It's good.

I really don't know Bitcoin Spot ETFs are scam because they actually have to use money to buy bitcoins. Their Bitcoin treasuries are tracked and under regulations of governments. They can not do shady things like don't use money to buy bitcoins but create shares for sales to customers.

It will help Bitcoin adoption because Bitcoin Spot ETFs actually bring more people to Bitcoin world. They bring more capital to Bitcoin market and with more supply, more capital, price will have to rise.

Price might not rise immediately but with time and with sustainable increasing capital in this market, price must price higher.

Most streaming services now have ad-supported tiers. Sports streaming services like DAZN and ESPN+ always have commercials, at least in the United States. I’m almost certain I saw a Coinbase ad while watching something on Amazon Prime recently. If you ever watch YouTube without an ad blocker you will also come across these ads, although sometimes I’ve seen scam ads created with artificial intelligence featuring Michael Saylor.

also buying and managing bitcoin in a blockchain wallet is much better than having to entrust your money to be exchanged for a bitcoin etf which is actually just ordinary shares that are not backed by anything, and which you can only use for investment. where you can use real bitcoin for investments and regular transactions, and the management is completely in your hands, not in the hands of these firms.

I agree, but investors want to be instant and don't want to bother, let alone to plunge themselves directly into the market where price changes can occur at any time without special preparation, there will always be questions that will arise in their minds whether it is about prices, market trends and how to store them safely. But I think it's also better than them buying coins whose origins are not clear in the market.  Yes. In the end, they will share the benefits in the end Grin Grin.

It will help Bitcoin adoption because Bitcoin Spot ETFs actually bring more people to Bitcoin world. They bring more capital to Bitcoin market and with more supply, more capital, price will have to rise.

If not mistake good news comes from the United Arab Emirates, where the percentage is already good, at least 75% of local residents have started adopting and investing in BTC. If we pay attention, activity looks high in the month in March 2024 even though it is in the form of donations in Ramadan.

I saw an add on instagram some days go, from a Japanese exchange.
It was super short and quick and it was also something about halving and "now is a chance" and so on, just some random stuff to motivate people to get in.

My Japanese is not perfect so I didn't get the rest.

Tried to find this commercial again but never did until today. In Japan, even though very regulated, you can often see a lot of crypto related commercials or banners and signs on the street. This was quite surprising to me when I first saw it.

I went to Japan last year and I remember seeing a few banners and signs but nothing out of the ordinary. Japanese people anyway should start investing in bitcoin because their society is becoming less and less sustainable, I remember I was surprised (in a negative way) by the amount of very old people that are still working because they don't have enough money: I'm talking about people in their mid 80s, that was crazy for me.
