This was the part that struck me, because that's what it actually is. It is what it is  .

Just the other day, someone who picked up interest to invest in Bitcoin was actually seeking my attention so I could explain to him a few things about Bitcoin. In the middle of our discussion, he asked me if I think he can still make any good profit from Bitcoin, due to the fact that the price is currently too high; the price for that day was $42k. Then, I returned the question to him and asked him: How much was the last all-time high price for Bitcoin?

He stare in confusion before saying that he didn't know about Bitcoin's all-time high.

So my question to anyone reading this now is: do you guys believe that there are people who may have an interest in Bitcoin but don't know the last ATH price of Bitcoin?

OP, you are right in your statement. Considering the 2021 Bitcoin ATH, the price is still cheap now, and there is still every possibility that those who invest now will make a profit.

Yes, absolutely, especially those who are new to bitcoin and those who invest in or have an interest in bitcoin because of the hype, and because of that, they ignore the necessary things they need to know about bitcoin and proceed to finding ways on how to earn or just buy bitcoin and hold it without understanding first what bitcoin is all about, and those beginners tend to lose their investment as they are not used to the volatility of the bitcoin market. I once had a colleague that does bitcoin hold and trade, but when I asked how he does it, he just said that by intuition, he really doesn't have an idea of what he is doing, just hoping he will earn from what he is doing. From that, I gave him the advice that he should know what he is doing first because bitcoin investment is not a joke or just relying on intuition to earn. So yeah, many people are not aware of the existence of bitcoin, but there are also those who know about it and start investing but don't know the true essence of what bitcoin is.

Really i don't see the essence of creating this thread, and from the very beginning of this thread I can see that this was not a well-thought-out thread and at that could have missed alot of vital content,  for you to say that the future of cryptocurrency is uncertain, it then means that you too lack the basic knowledge of the existence of bitcoin and what it stands for, because we can't have all those developments and still be uncertain of the future of Bitcoin,  that is not right mate.

In my area people view bitcoin as kind of investment, people around the circle of my family knew i invest and have knowledge in bitcoin and crypto so they tend to ask me whatever they have in mind. They are somewhat shock when i'm telling them you can pay things online and offline using bitcoin because they just see bitcoin as just like stock.

Most people around me are still thinking that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are get-rich quick schemes that made overnight millionaires, when in reality, it takes years of holding before the benefits are reaped. Cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and so on, do have good potential in the future. Because crypto currency seems to be integrated with the sophistication and progress of today's era. Therefore, the potential of cryptocurrencies like bitcoin looks brighter in the future. But we actually don't know what the future will be like, because sometimes the world changes.

However, in my opinion, even though bitcoin and cryptocurrency do have good potential, if they want to replace paper currency, it seems like it is still just a theory. Because it is not that easy to replace the currency that is already circulating throughout the country, and replace it with crypto currency. Indeed, now El Salvador has proven that cryptocurrency or bitcoin can be used for transactions, but what I want to know is, do El Salvadorans still use paper money or not?

Most people who currently knew Bitcoin were the ones stumbled it somewhere because it's getting pump up that's why there's a lot of hype everywhere and that includes scammers creating ads on their fake website. So anyway, I think some people in my area knew already about the Bitcoin but doesn't really care much while the rest are excited about their investment to grow. There are also some who was misinformed or didn't know the whole truth about how Bitcoin works because they were scammed one time in the past but didn't bother to do some research that's why they believe that it's still part of the scam tactics whenever they hear about Bitcoin.

Replacing paper currency, Bitcoin won't be able to do this. There are many choices for people to store and move their funds and Bitcoin will forever be one of options.

From all time high in 2021, Bitcoin now is down about 30% from the ATH, not too much. It already rallied a lot from the bottom in 2022 after two big fiasco, Terra and FTX exchange.

To have a view of a long term Bitcoin investor, people must understand about Bitcoin's controlled supply. How it was defined, enforced and how many bitcoins will be available for future supply as well as how many bitcoins probably lost as donation to everyone.

Bitcoin is not replacing paper Currency.  Not yet.  The average citizen still has doubts about the legitimacy of Cryptocurrencies, particularly the more elderly.  Younger people present more interest due to trends in my opinion.  The NFT trend, particularly the Apes, has done a lot of damage but also a lot of good by turning meme sharers into Cryptocurrency believers.

The AVERAGE view is a thing that must be studied.  But even then a study would not provide too accurate information.  How do you do it?  Polls on Bitcoin Talk?  They are obviously going in favor of Bitcoin for the most part.  A poll on Twitter would be different than polling a community where there are more adults over 35.

It depends strongly on the areas you are looking at.  Some people would say their area is highly supportive of Cryptocurrencies.  I say it depends on each person but the younger the person is, the more they are susceptible to gathering interest in Bitcoin or other Shit Coins.

It is actually not replacing the traditional currency. We are using fiat on a daily basis and unfortunately we cannot do that with Bitcoin due to some reasons like high fees and it's volatility. We are up into it right now for investment purposes, I think most of us do.

Exactly and I agree with you on this. I recently checked the chart of Bitcoin in 1 year perspective and that confirmed your words. Based on that timeframe of the chart Bitcoin keeps on moving upward from 2011 to 2024. So what are we waiting for? Accumulating Bitcoins via DCA right now even in portions will surely give us the higher chance to make pretty decent profit in the future.

It is your personal view about Bitcoin. I am sure a lot of common people do not think the same way as yours. Bitcoin is indeed a life changing investment. But when Bitcoin was initially launched, it was a currency system and not an investment. But as per the free market, it has become an investment.

Also it is not necessary to think that everyone who invest in Bitcoin will make a whole lot of money. There are people who had lost money in Bitcoin. So it is always better to take a cautious route to invest in Bitcoin and one should not invest 100% of their money into Bitcoin.

The greater part of the global population does not know about cryptocurrency, so it might not be correct to assume that it is replacing paper currency. I don't also think that Bitcoin is designed to replace fiat but to be a viable alternative. However, Bitcoin awareness and adoption are gradually increasing which means that more people will keep joining the crypto space. Most people in my locality think that Bitcoin is a scam because they expect to make quick money from investing in the coin. When they fail to make a profit within a few months, they assume that it is not worth investing in. Bitcoin is a long-term investment and not like shitcoins that can be pumped and dumped cheaply.

You're wrong, Bitcoin's ATH was happen in 2017 and 2021, it's where the trading volume was completely low than 2015-2016 where Bitcoin price was around $400-$1K. That means trading volume doesn't necessary increase Bitcoin price.

It is always the same story, bitcoin goes up in value and makes it to the news and then all the people that know that you are into bitcoin begin to ask all kind of questions about it, as they want some of those profits for themselves, but the issue is that if they had begun their research years ago, when bitcoin was pronounced dead for who knows how many times already, then they would have invested years ago and made profits, instead they want to do this when bitcoin is ready to skyrocket and they have no time to learn, save and invest in it.

I see bitcoin ETF as a catalyst to bitcoin adaptation, ETF could possibly help the distribution of bitcoin among US citizens thus increasing the bitcoin knowledge and could spread bitcoin curiosity on US. I believe that 3/4 of the earth population possibly didn't know what bitcoin is or heard about it but I think with the help of ETF and other similar way to distribute it, it can help people to understand what bitcoin truly is. Haven't looked into further problems where bitcoin completely replaces paper money because in the country where I live bitcoin is only legal as an investment asset and that means the relationship between bitcoin and paper currency still has enough of their respective roles without replacing each other. Bitcoin can be invested as a short-term or long-term step because it depends on how someone expects rewards, although sometimes investing in Bitcoin has much more potential if done in the long term because it is able to maintain value and provide maximum profits.

There are many people who don't believe in bitcoin and that is the case until now, but the growth of bitcoin is increasingly widespread with support for greater adoption. People do not realize how bitcoin can maintain the value of investments made as long as it is not influenced by panic and perhaps because knowledge narrow makes people unable to see the opportunities generated by bitcoin.
