I don't have a constant amount I use for gambling because my income and expenses fluctuate every month. I usually gamble with 3% to 5% of my monthly income based on my monthly expenses. When I have so many bills or expenses for the month, it is usually safer for me to reduce the amount I spend on gambling. But when I have enough money to spend for the month, my gambling budget will naturally increase. However, for me to ensure that I gamble within my means, I don't gamble more than 5% of my monthly earnings.   

Same as @Questat, I won't be giving away the exact amount but I'd give you the partial amount. The partial amount that I'm saying is around $220 and about $1 average per bet as I don't like to spend my bankroll as quickly as I like it to be, I want to enjoy watching the slots spin and give me those damn multipliers, I would say that I'm a bit aggressive with my way of betting because $1 is an average and that's already a large amount of money in my country's currency, could buy me a meal or something with that amount of bet.

I don't know how much you earn in a month but $220 is such a high sum in my local currency. In fact, more people in my country earn less than $50 monthly. However, I assume that it is within your income and you are enjoying your game. A dollar in my local currency can also provide a meal for two persons. Therefore losing it might be very painful for some gamblers.

My monthly income is too embarrassing to tell that's why my average bet is like $3 per match on sports. It spikes only when there is a big match that is hyped.

You can't really tell whether the gambler is too aggressive based on his monthly pay and his average bet especially if the sports he participates is just happening every weekend.
But You may be able to tell based on his loss. If he loses too much in his bets and then still wagers while he clearly doesn't win every time. He seriously needs to get another hobby than betting on sports.

To be straight with you, I pull in about $800 a month from my job.  That's pretty much enough to get my family through the month.  When it comes to a gambling budget, I tend to only put aside 5 or 10 bucks and  I don't like going over that - I always get kind of anxious thinking about the downsides of gambling.

I bet around $5-$10 per game, and for a casino session, I spend about $20 per week. My monthly income is not that high, just shy of $3000 a month, but more than enough to live comfortably and get some savings going for myself. I don't look at how much that it takes to gamble in a month because I don't focus on that and the average spending may be very small but I don't do a huge stake, it is all reasonable when I want to go for it. To focus on monthly calculation of gambling seem like it is handled like investment and not the fun that people talk about.

I will not give an exact number because this will be private for me anyways never record wins every month because for me it will be an unpleasant record to see if it has a minus.

I make sure not to be too aggressive in gambling this does not become a habit because I know there is a bankrol limit that has been set if it has exceeded this will stop not continuing gambling, wanting to stay in the safe zone even though it has lost.

To be honest, I'm not a professional bettor, it's just fun and other people will think the same, even when I win, let's say in the amount of $50 or $100, I will withdraw because what is bet is quite small, so what I said above is clearly a big win.

But I'm sure other people won't give an exact number but a percentage as a bookkeeping.

Not daily but my weekly budget for gambling is just $130 and there are times I am winning around $200 monthly. With minimum or average amount of bet, it is a bit random and depends on my gut feeling or analysis of the game (in sports betting by the way). These numbers especially with profit, are not consistent 'coz that's just how gambling works. There are times I am winning consistently for months and also be at loss for a month. So far, with proper bankroll management, I am in profit in the long run. Before I was using strategies but it just made me bet more than what I am betting at the present. Well, it would be much better to be scared than to be frustrated and greedy of winning or pushing your luck to be in accordance with your own likeness. We cannot force winning to be on our side. Anticipating the negative outcome in every bet is better than to hope that much and end up losing big amount of money. If you are here for enjoyment then you are absolutely doing the right thing.

Sometimes I get aggressive and sometimes I play conservatively, somehow it depends on my mood and my risk appetite at the moment, there are days I'm very conservative such that you would wonder if I didn't make my selections carefully enough but then it's just me in a very different mood at that point in time on that day .

My pay monthly isn't a stable one because I don't work in a firm that has got a fixed payment monthly, I work from home more like a Free lancing job son I make my average around a few dollars monthly but then I know how I share it amongst my expenditures and before making out a few that I set aside for gambling, I try to be that careful not to gamble Above my set limit and that was why I mentioned I go aggressive at times and the other I'm conservative just to make sure I still sty within my budget and not spend more than I should gambling.

My usual bet doesn't usually go beyond $20. Sometimes I go for $30 but that's about it. I don't really entertain the idea of going beyond that. As for sharing my monthly income, well, I'm not really that comfortable sharing it but the amount I usually gamble per month comes to about 5-10% of my income. Said income only includes those from my corpo job though and any income I get from my freelancing activities and ones like I do here in the forum usually stays as either savings or investments.

Just like on what others been saying that exposing your personal income is something really needs to be private but since it had been mentioned out that in between ranges then it is considerable.
For me i do have that $400-600 in monthly income on which if we do speak about budget or allocation on gambling then it would be something $20-30 maximum on which i dont
really go beyond those numbers on which it would really be just that normal that you should really be having that kind of moderation if you dont like on messing up with your finances.
There are people who could be able to control themselves when it comes to spending and there are ones who couldnt.

But I don't think mentioning the figure is appropriate, so I guess it's under 10% of my total salary. I'm also not an active gambler, and I only gamble sometimes if I really want to gamble. I also never force myself always to take promotions offered by casinos because I know it is too heavy for me because of the terms and conditions, which might exceed my budget for gambling. Additionally, I am also trying to really reduce my gambling activities so that most of the time, that budget is still there and ready to be used. I have been constantly maintaining some certain level of bet which is betting on a level of NGN 100 per day and maximum of NGN 1000 per week but I don't do this often or regularly the reason is the reduce my anxiety to become progressive gambler who always wants to change his names through gambling and in all these expenses most of the week I don't win and even if I would win it is not above NGN2k to NGN5k due to my strategy to regularly gamble on a single bets and they are low odds which gives little payout if I don't increase my wager.

Seems that this is a little too invasive IMO. Average bet is fine, but no one needs to know what anyone's monthly income is unless they are an agent of the IRS or whatever the financial entity is of your country.

Back on the subject, my average bet is small 20-40$ as I like to bet parlays. High risk/high reward. Sometimes smaller if putting in alot of teams(6-10).

  I don’t have statistics on what percentage of forum participants are from which country, but it seems to me that for many people a bet of 20-40 dollars (especially a very risky one with a low return frequency) is a very serious bet. Just to give an example, in my country the average salary is approximately $500. It turns out that your bet is from 4 to 8 percent of the average salary here. If we talk about monthly spending on gambling, then this is the usual amount, but if we talk about a one-time bet, then I would say that it is large.

There really is no need to mention how much you're spending to gamble. That's a private matter that shouldn't be known by the others but if someone is okay to share how much they're spending every week or every month for gambling, that's okay as well as there is no problem with those people that are just happily sharing how much they gamble. Now with yours, that 10% is quite high if your salary is also high.

As that 10% of your salary and with that style of gambling, you're not forcing yourself to do so. You are just casually doing it and that's the fun there, you are not forced and pressured to take some of the goals that others are setting. If you lose, then you lose and you're not going to force yourself into recovery for which that may take another slice of your salary.

As long as you don't make yourself obliged to recover the amounts that you've lost and you're free in doing that so, that's the type of gambler that you're like free and worry-free. We don't have to be aggressive when we gamble and if we're aware of our gambling habits, and we're far from being aggressive, I'd say that you're doing it rightly.

It is not always the same.It depends on my mood,if I think that I see some value in the games of a certain day I usually parlay them with some money,not a lot usually around 5% of my net income which is about 120 dollars and that is enough to try different bets during different days.Sometimes as I said if I see value I can even go all in and call it a day for a month and not play a single cent more,some other months I play like 5 dollars daily having fun in sport betting in a consecutive way,I usually copy other people bets when I am playing these 5 dollars daily.I never overdo it so I am never aggressive in the sense that I never go further this limit of 120 dollars monthly whatever happens to my bets.

It's been months since I last allocated a part of my salary for gambling, and it's not because I'm no longer gambling or whatever, it's just that I made a self-sustaining bankroll system that allowed me to still be able to gamble using a bankroll that practically pays itself.

When I gamble in the past I take it out of my pocket which is a massive mistake as it's easy to lose track of just how much you're spending when you take it out of your own finances. Eventually I got addicted to gambling and luckily enough I was able to quit gambling while damages are still reparable. From then on I made it a point to never gamble belligerently again, and in my quest to look for real good ways to gamble without losing money I happened upon a win-lose system that someone posted in this forum, basically it says you should quit gambling for the day once you either reached 3 wins or 3 losses, when you win 3 times it assures that your wins are secured, and when you quit after 3 losses it ensures that you don't lose even more. Now I incorporated this with a bankroll system that I used way recently, where I funded a specific wallet with enough money that could support hundreds of games if ever.

Everytime I win, it goes towards my bankroll, every time I lose, it's the bankroll's burden and not my budget's every now and again I fund it and the most that I refilled it with is a little over $500, but having something like this around definitely made my life better and my gambling journey a little smoother.

Let's go by this consideration first, will people actually want to give an estimate on what they value or worth while gambling, also provide partly information of the losses made to the amount spent on gambling through a rough overall estimation, maybe some may not want to share their own part of view because it may look as a shame to many of us discovering that we have more lost than win while gambling, this is the general approach being applicable on every gambler, we tend to loose more than we earn from gambling.

Only 5% of my monthly income goes to gambling and there are few times I don't bet, not because I don't like it but I don't have enough time to even think about gambling but just to be sure that I don't make mistake of making multiple deposits, anytime the money drops I make the deposits the following day after sorting out other bills. There are sometimes that I do make deposit and the money will be there till the following month. As I didn't bet it, I will use the funds for the following months.

As per the amount of bets, it depends on what games I have. If the risk is low, I can put heavy amount but if the risk is high, I use small amount to be at a safer side. By high risk I mean large plenty odds, when you have plenty of odds, your potential earnings is always large so I do risk a small amount but when the odd is small maybe like less than 10 odds, then I risk big amount because the chance of winning this options are always high but depend on the games you chose for the bet.
