Bitcoin got as low as $17-18k recently and at that time people were afraid to buy because they were afraid that the price will crash more and more and they will lose their investment. Ironically when the price goes up, same people get afraid from buying again but at this time because the price is high right now

Thats a pretty good suggestion but when talking about timing I think it depends on how the strategy you want to use because in the end this will also be very influential.

Buying during a bull run is not wrong but on the other hand this goes back to the initial situation where whether we can afford it or not because IMO until now the best time is the time when we can buy bitcoin comfortably and without any interference from other needs.
I say things like this because I'm doing it because right now I'm still using the DCA strategy just like most people today so when you can afford the amount of budget you have set and not too disruptive to your life in terms of other needs related to finance it is still the best time for me.
There is no wrong time only whether we are ready or not with the risks that will be faced later because buying and selling is a very easy situation to do but to maintain when you have bought so as not to rush to sell and keep holding it is a difficult period to do.

I would always say that the best time to buy bitcoin is at its dips, but knowing we can’t predict when will be bitcoin at its deepest price, then probably the best time to buy is now. Regardless of the current price of bitcoin, if you keep on waiting for the perfect entry, you might end up losing another opportunity to invest. Depends on who is defining the top. I think it’s safer and better to have targets than speculating if Bitcoin has gotten to the top or not. If you set a target, you’ll wait and once it hits, you leave with content. But then, I do not suggest short term investment with Bitcoin. I can not be sure about market bottom and top but I spent time to learn about market cycle, how long it lasted in previous three cycles and I can draw my plan to buy and exit.

I don't see reasons to buy at bottom or exit at top because I know I will never make it correctly. My plan is accumulate bitcoin in bearish months that are in bottom range and exit the market when a market top is around. I can exit before the top or after the top but I will avoid to miss a chance to take profit and stuck in 2 or 3 years of bear.

I agree that people who are outsiders only speculate about the market and they always fee fearful to join so they have no practice in this market. Their speculations have very little value without practical experience.

You will be too late if you buy too close to the day of the actual event, because the hype cycle starts almost 2 to 3 months in advance, so the price of Bitcoin would have already been pumped by the hype, before it happens.

This is seen in the latest hype event, where the price went up before the news was announced that the spot Bitcoin ETF were approved.

actually it is not only in before or halving season mate when to invest but even when the after halving season because the bull only comes in short period but the bear stays longer so why need to have small chance of timing but instead we are given longer like a year after the year of halving.

Many are hoping that after the Bitcoin halving, the price of Bitcoin will be halved and then they will start investing in Bitcoin. We have seen Bitcoin price below $30,000 for the past few months and from there it has increased to almost $48,000 in just two months. Many have regretted that maybe the right time to buy Bitcoin was when the price of Bitcoin was below $30,000. Those who invested Bitcoin back then must have earned good profits.

Agreed, I have made same opinion and voiced it out as well in couple of my responses because most of the people especially the newbies they end up investing heavily when the Bitcoin is at peak of bullrun and then end up losing huge by selling during the dump. They have limited option as either they have to hodl it for years or panic sell in loss and users prefer the later option as the emotion play major role here after seeing the dump which usually happens post bull run.

In short 2024 is the year of accumulating Bitcoins and not 2025 as 2025 is to make profits with the existing funds which we accumulate in 2024.

The upcoming halving of Bitcoin's block reward is undoubtedly a big deal.  I mean, in the past we've seen some wild price jumps after these things and  makes sense - less new bitcoin being created means increased scarcity.  But, as you know, nothing's guaranteed here.  Maybe history rhymes but it doesnt always repeat. 

Still, the halvings do get people all excited and dreaming.  And perception shapes reality in investing.  So I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a hunch 2024 is gonna be a good year for Bitcoin holders.  Of course a whole lot else factors into prices too.
