Not quite about selling but not buying them in the past is regret we all have that we have discussed on forum many times. But I would say it's not about bitcoin particularly any other investment that we have missed or sold at less price turns out to be a big thing in future gives us a feeling of regret that we should have hold it more. But for me I have sold my bitcoins for profits and when I was in need of money but still hold some stash. So not too much of those bad feelings.

Well spoken, OP, instead of sitting down and regretting why we sold at an early stage. The solution to it is to actively buy it now that we can afford it while we learn from our previous mistakes. There is always an opportunity for every investor, but if he or she does not use the opportunity wisely, then they will regret it. However, the reason why i like cryptocurrency is because there is always a second chance to hop on the train before it reaches a price where our financial strength cannot purchase it. Thats when there will be a much more intense regret for not participating when others were.

No since I only spend my Bitcoin on important things, like when my mother is hospitalized I have no other choice, but to act fast, there is no second thought since on my mind I can earn that bitcoin even if it takes too long, but my mom life can never return even if I have 10,000 bitcoin, that is my view about selling those bitcoins.

I guess this is always a thing with those people who sold their bitcoin early and regretted the possible potential profit they can get more if they waited for some time. I myself regretted selling my bitcoin at many points, I remember that I sold 3 bitcoins @400USD each just to buy a new phone. It is a regret that I have in spending so much money on a mobile phone that currently, I can't use because of old age. There are many stories like this and this is common with the old timers.

I wonder if the people who is listed on the VIP or have a donator position in this forum regretted that they donate bitcoins back then when it is still cheap. Though the custom title/position they have is pretty legendary given that the worth of that "donator" role rank increases as bitcoin go up.

We've all been there, that moment of realization when you remember selling your precious Bitcoins years ago and wonder if you missed the boat.  Well, take a deep breath, because im here to remind you that in the world of crypto, time is always on our side!

It might sting a bit to think about what could have been if you held onto those BTC, but let's not forget the golden rule of crypto: it's a marathon, not a sprint. The market is dynamic, and opportunities are ever-present.

We can't erase some thoughts that if we never sold our bitcoin before for sure we can currently earn a million of dollars at current rate. But if we also think about what are the things we bought for those bitcoin we sold for sure there will be no regret to happen in our side since it goes on right thing and we are happy at that time we sold our bitcoins.

But if it goes to those unimportant thing and you got broke today then struggle to earn bitcoins back again for sure that you would provably regret your past decision for selling bitcoin and would ever think about you are so lucky before then get stressed for remembering those good thing happen on the past. Maybe much better if we live on current situation and erase those past event especially those we think we commit a mistake since we will give a stress to ourselves on those unimportant matter.

Having bitcoin is the means to an end and not the end in itself. Regrets of selling will only make things worse and will not make any difference. At the time of selling your bitcoin for whatever reason it may be was done, was done with the best information you had at that time and with the best intention. Instead of having regrets, your focus should be increasing your income, more studying more and researching more about bitcoin, having a solid plan and strategy for re-entry into bitcoin.

The bitcoin community is not discriminatory. You can sell and re-enter at anytime and you will still be welcomed with opened arms into the community. I will quote a line from the holy book, go and sin sell no more.

I started selling Bitcoin from the year 2022 and personally I have not regretted to sell them because whenever I sold them I know that the period I am selling them, it is a bear market period and I sold not like that so there was no regret for that. Though friends around me have experienced regrets of saying that if they would have known they wouldn't sell the Bitcoin they sold. And I normally told them that if they can't beat the lose because of it volatile nature of Bitcoin they should not sell and hodle for the ATH. So that there will be no complain or regret.

While I don't have much insight and experience in Bitcoin investment. I once had regrets when I sold bitcoins that I had accumulated and was going to keep for the long term. At that time, I was tempted by the increase in Bitcoin and I decided to sell it and buy it again if the market price experienced another correction. But at that time I panicked because the price of bitcoin was actually increasing and exceeding the price I sold it for. So I started to panic and regret my actions, trying to improvise by selling bitcoin temporarily so that I could make a little profit and buy it again. But a few weeks after I sold the bitcoin price continued to rise and went sideways. So at that time I was almost going to buy at a high price. Luckily I created a topic on a local board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5457044.msg62436906#msg62436906) and got some advice so I didn't panic and stay calm. So I learned to be patient and finally BTC a few months or weeks later corrected again and I was able to buy again at a lower price than the price when I sold.

From there I learned to stick to the initial plan and separate trading and long-term investment.

This is the function of using money management strategies. Talking about what you asked, I think everyone feels it too, but maybe there are Altcoins too, especially BTC which has been bought at low prices. I think everyone is ready for the consequences when they sell.

If you look now at whether the trend is towards the negative or negative side for BTC, I think it is not an obstacle anymore if you already know its potential and what you have to deal with is buying dips at this time so that it provides some practical advantages in your current trading.

I have an unconfirmed opinion that everyone who sells bitcoin (both at low and high prices) all regret it. Smiley No matter what price you sell bitcoin for, it will always seem to you that you are selling for a very cheap price, because over time it can be sold for much more. Whatever price tag hangs on bitcoin (10.000$, 100.000$ or even 1.000.000$ or higher), it will always not be enough for you. Whatever price they give you, it will always be less than 1BTC. You remember that their number is strictly limited.

It might sting a bit to think about what could have been if you held onto those BTC, but let's not forget the golden rule of crypto: it's a marathon, not a sprint. The market is dynamic, and opportunities are ever-present.
The market is dynamic, but it is more likely that with the growth of bitcoin capitalization, this dynamics will slow down, which means that there will be fewer opportunities.

Have you ever regretted selling your bitcoins?

Why should I regret because I used currency as currency? I spent Bitcoin when it was worth about $200, I still spend it today when it is worth more than 200 times more and I will never regret it. Some people act as if they will live for hundreds of years, they give up the things they want all their lives, and then one day they find themselves in a situation where someone else spends all that money on stupid things.

I'm not saying that you should waste your money, but if you want something for a long time, it's not bad to spend a little BTC here and there.

Money could be the problem. If I may share one thing I've learned, it's to get something done before making a bitcoin investment to avoid having to sell it later. Apologies for the operator for selling his bitcoin, as he still has some time to purchase more, assuming he has the funds. Your statement that he will have learned from us is the nicest part. He witnessed the price rising after he sold it. And he will have to wait for another chance if this one is gone. and will experience depression as a result of acting. It is not at all entertaining to see others cash out when you have already sold yours.

I am so sorry for your mother's condition. It is better that the money was later utilized to care for your mother than it would be disastrous to have money and be unable to care for your own mother. For this reason, find a job and set aside some cash for emergencies like this so you won't need to use your bitcoin for anything other than medical expenses. I also hope your mother gets well soon.

No one is able to look into the future to know what will happen there. Few people thought in 2010 that bitcoin would be worth as much as it is now and naturally, when the price of bitcoin rose high enough, many people sold their bitcoins, for various reasons.

Of course! I even remember most instances when I sold. The most significant was when I got my first large profit. At that time I bought some bitcoin for $600 and it went to $3k. I was so happy, I thought I was a master investor. Then it went to 20k later that year. I still have some of those $600 coins because I did not sell it all, but at that point I learned an important lesson. Traditional look doesn't work for bitcoin. If you get it to sell a year later with 2x profit, you underestimate it and don't get what it's capable of. This market can easily go 2x from its old ATH and people get euphoric because it went from 45 to 49k and then they get depressed because it went back to 45...

I wasn't too disappointed or regretful because at that time I had sold bitcoin, even though after I sold it I should have made a bigger profit. Because I was forced to sell bitcoin due to urgent needs and at that time I had no money at all because for me life was more important than bitcoin at that time. Note: I didn't sell bitcoin at a loss, but I made a profit, but if I kept it, maybe my profit would be bigger than before.

But at least I can learn from this, when investing in Bitcoin we must have an emergency fund of 40% of the funds invested. And this is what I do now, own bitcoin for the long term without having to be afraid of selling it because I already have more emergency funds than before. In every investment journey, sometimes we have to be smart in learning from mistakes and taking lessons so that they don't happen again.

Bitcoin is meant to be spent for easy circulation, this is why when I spend my bitcoin, I don't regret it because itost be that I sold it to take care of something more important instead of keeping it. I don't sell due to panic or to make profit but when it is necessary.

Taking care of health challenge and saving a life is more valuable than keeping idle coins for the future, because it is only a healthy man that will live to enjoy his bitcoin assest. Those that sell some part of their bitcoin and start regretting their actions are those that trade for profit or aikd their coins for irrelevant reasons.

We've all been there, that moment of realization when you remember selling your precious Bitcoins years ago and wonder if you missed the boat.
I never regret selling my bitcoin. All you regret is not knowing about bitcoin earlier than when I knew about it. How I wish I was able to accumulate lots of bitcoin when it was created immediately. That will have been the best thing that happened to me, but that’s gone, and there is nothing that can be done about it again. I have been accumulating bitcoin for the past few years, and I will keep on accumulating bitcoin because I haven’t hit my target yet. Even if bitcoin keeps on increasing, I will keep on accumulating it when I have free money.

I got hold of bitcoin as early as 2012. And selling bitcoin at that time is one of my most regrettable financial decision.
I don't want to do the same again with both bitcoin and the alts. Hold till the bull.
If you bought your bitcoin early in 2012, then you should have been in a good profit by now. Even if you end up selling your bitcoin right now, you will have made a reasonable amount of money as your profit, so you should never regret it. But it won’t really be bad if you keep on holding your bitcoin because bitcoin is still going to go higher than the current price, I still see the current price to be very low.
