The best video card for mining farms in 2024

I like used 3060 and 3070 series if they can be bought at a good price and in the hope that these cards will be relevant in the future. These video cards have a good return on investment. AMD video cards are losing in mining ratings, and 3060 and 3070 will be popular among gamers in the next 2-3 years.

3060ti is still king. Keep an eye out for the intel arc 770 though. If memory intensive algorithms like kawpow keep being the highest earners, then we might end up seeing a paradigm shift since the 770 is really good at that and really cheap to boot. RDNA cards are pretty good at that sort of thing too.

For me i stack RTX 3060m 12GB, CMP 90HX, vega7, bc-160 and 6600xt, 6700/xt, but the 4070 series could be good cards if the price go down for used ones.

This cards are too expensive i mean i get BC-160 for under $100 and this is the same card as the 5700xt but with HBM2 memory, the vega7 cards are also cheap (depends from $130 - $160 for me) and some of the efficients cards on kawpow (38mh @ 150w)

Vega 7 video cards are already very difficult to find on sale and they are very poorly repaired.
I bought used video cards from miners, but they all had various overclocking problems or were mining unstable. Therefore, I advise all beginners only new video cards

working AMD 5700 cards are pretty good for kawpow.

A lot depends on price for the used cards .

even a 3090 makes profit now on kawpow but it is a difficult card to run.

Many AMD 5700 video cards did not mine out of the box without overheating on such hot algorithms as kawpow. If a newcomer did not understand what he was buying, then he got a lot of problems. Not all of these video cards have good cooling, and if anyone wants to buy them, then let them read reviews on mining models. Or buys closed cases with good ventilation.

Yeah that is one of the great cards for mining but unfortunately its price it is not that low right now,I see in Ebay with price being 180-200 dollars and I do not consider that a cheap price for a card which is some years old now.Where I live I can easily get the 3060 ti which is a bit better for 120 dollars right now.For people mining now this is a good time to stock on such cards and build a good mining rig with 12 such cards for just 2000 dollars as that in ETC+ZIL can make you a considerable amount of crypto monthly,of course we do not talk about profit but for good amount of crypto which in the next bull run may prove the best investment one can make.

5700(xt)s are good for kawpow, but they are one of the fucking worst cards to setup, and one of the most stubborn ones too. Having 2 memory suppliers(at least for xt) doesn't help either as there's a very high probability that preexisting stable OC setups are for the other memory chipset. The worst part is that the card has a tendency to hard freeze the system if it doesn't like your OCs, and it will do it like 3-6 hours after starting mining(aka when you are away from the rigs and doing other stuff). The only way to recover from this is via hard manual reset or having a smart plug. Very beginner unfriendly cards, especially when nvidia cards are so easy to setup and have finely tuned oc setups online that apply to everyone(from there on you can test the silicon by finetuning even more, but even then the gains are minimal).

yeah the 5700 can be really finicky.

but watts spent per dollar earned they are a good card.

Bitmain Antminer E9 Pro in a noisebox will be a good choice, if you do not take into account the risks of failure of 1 ASIC.
