We BTC has developed a handheld, touchscreen, simple to use non-custodial Bitcoin platform.  It is truly trustless peer-to-peer transactions.  We are looking for a talented developer and a marketing expert to help us bring this new concept to market. We are a startup and offering equity participation.

We're looking for a developer to build out the key applications, libraries, and tools for the public to interact with Bitcoin. Ideal applicants should have experience building and shipping Bitcoin applications and maintaining open source projects. This role requires contributing to an open source project with a growing number of active contributors, and involves serving as the primary driver for the design and development of the project. An ideal candidate would have a strong passion for Bitcoin and a desire to make using Bitcoin cheap, fast, and simple for everyone.

The Marketing Lead will be responsible for all product and content marketing activities. While the Marketing Lead will largely focus on Product Marketing, this role will initially lead Content Marketing and associated activities. The ideal candidate will have e a high-level understanding of bitcoin and a passion for crafting compelling product stories.

Please contact me if you are interested.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

That doesn't sound new at all. My phone is a handheld, has a touchscreen, a non-custodial Bitcoin wallet and can do trust-less P2P transactions. What's new?

Great question.  Are you hosting your own node?  Otherwise you are using a 3rd party node.  Bitcoin was intended to be P2P using your own node.  Our device can be used on the go or left at home and accessed with a wallet like Fully Noded to do truly P2P transactions.

Most people don't understand the basics of Bitcoin let alone what it means to be truly P2P.  We make it all simple on the go or remote.

Why is this important.  Providers of 3rd party nodes are profiting from your business in some way whether it is using their app so they can market other services to you or keeping track of your transactions for their benefit.

Our product is Bitcoin the way it was intended.  Truly P2P.

Your BTC platform concept is intriguing. For the developer position, could you provide more details on the preferred tech stack and coding languages? Additionally, any specific blockchain experience you're looking for?

As for the Marketing Lead role, are you seeking someone with prior experience in the cryptocurrency industry, or is a high-level understanding of Bitcoin sufficient?

I'll spread the word in my network. Best of luck with your search!

OK, but why not a phone app?   Why a seperate device?

Phone apps come with a few limitations.  First, companies like Apple or Google could decide that your app is not within their guidelines and ban the app from their repositories. Second cell phones are ripe with other security risks and privacy issues. That being said, we are not saying that a cellular option is out of the question and are developing an IOT cellular prototype using an opensource  OS and software.

Do you want to include a full node in a handheld device?

The short answer is yes.

We want to simplify the use of Bitcoin as a currency while adhering to the core tenants the white paper made so clear. The only way to do "purely peer-to-peer transactions" is with a full node.

For most people Bitcoin is a hard concept to understand.  In addition, understanding the reason Bitcoin was created and what its intended purpose is is beyond what we can expect most people to take the time to comprehend. We want to remove these obstacles.  Simple turn on the device and send and receive Bitcoin.

We would like to price our Bitcoin product at about the same level as a expensive hardware wallet.

As for the Marketing Lead role, are you seeking someone with prior experience in the cryptocurrency industry, or is a high-level understanding of Bitcoin sufficient?

We are looking for people who understand the fundamentals of Bitcoin.  Why it was created and what its intended purpose is.
Our engineers ideally have experience with Bitcoin Core and additionally a broad knowledge on running open source projects and security best practices.
Marketing to the Bitcoin community will be a key part of our initial push so we are looking for a person who understands how to address this market.
