It's a vital piece, because it served as conceptual base for Cryptoglyphs, so far my biggest Bitcoin painting.

Block creation visualizes how a new block in Bitcoin's Blockchain is created.

It starts at the bottom with pools of miners of different sizes. Their influence goes around the composition as the web of miners control (almost) all aspects of Bitcoin.

Moving clockwise we follow the procedure of block creation. I didn't go into such detail as in Cryptoglyphs, but I think it's easier to grasp the system in this abstraction of the process.

This painting was designed to help interpret and explain the workings of Bitcoin's Blockchain.

It was also meant to be visually stimulating so it would help evoke new ideas and concepts.

I really really like it, all your details make sence and the visual representation is succesful, but symmetry ruins everything ! - it is too symmetrical for my taste


as an explanation, that would be correct but in art and especially with this topic (blockchain/block creation), more abstraction would make the picture really interesting.. a pity, because it's really really good

I was thinking about making an all-out abstraction of this motif for years now, but never really got satisfied with any concept. But this is one priority I'm gonna grasp and work on asap.
There's so much possibility in this direction too, I can just imagine 20th century minimal art transformed as Blockchain variations!

This motif in minimal art with more abstraction and every time you stare it, I guarantee you would get lost in it..

I don't know, when I looked at the piece I wasn't thinking of symmetry at all but whether the meaning behind it would be totally lost on someone who didn't know beforehand what said meaning was.  I really like it and think it's an extremely imaginative piece of artwork! 

Alas I don't collect art and thus wouldn't bid even if I had enough BTC to blow on it.  I just wanted to give props to its creator for visualizing the process of block creation in such a neat way.
