You can't just make a post that has been battling with the emotions of many. I respect the fact that you don't want to give out personal information, but you can't leave us in limbo.

Without giving away too much personal info, I have a chronic disease. I've had this disease for a decade and have had a lot of treatment for it, but it is winning. I likely only have a few months left.

You have been winning this chronic disease for a decade, how come you are giving up and have concluded that the disease is now winning. Did your doctor say you cannot win? Is there no money again to further the treatment? If the later is the case, this forum can raise more than enough Leo.

There are no much of your type here, especially in the technical section of the forum. What happens to your privacy gospel. Who will be contesting with LoyceV in the bitcoin Geek category of the annual award.
Leo! Tell us you want to live for some months or years and I'll be fine. You can do something like what Lauda did and I will be fine, don't tell us you gonna die or do you plan to suicide?

He didn't say he's been "winning" for a decade. Not all diseases can be cured. There's no need to ask for details, you should respect his privacy.

Let us respect a person's wish. It's unnecessary to ask him so many questions when he wants to live is peace for rest of the days. It's important he stays with his family and close friends.

Let @o_e_l_e_o have fun with the time he has left in this world and what he already knows, based on the doctor's analysis of the chronic disease he is currently facing, as far as I know, chronic diseases are varied, Money cannot replace that, even if the sufferer has billions of dollars, when the time comes nothing is eternal, everything will return to where they came from.

You remember @Charlie Munger with the chronic illness he was suffering from and also one of Warren Buffett's right-hand men who died at the end of the story, he had a fortune of US$ 2.7 billion, what could he do and what specialist doctors could do, nothing, all the memories are alivebecome history.

@o_e_l_e_o is a friend of ours here who has made extraordinary contributions and is remembered by many members here, especially the part you mentioned, but fate cannot be fought or bought, just pray @Leo will be a hero who will always be in the hearts of the members here , even though he issaid he didn't have long to live.

@KingsDen, with all due respect, I also think this thread is unnecessary. 

o_e_l_e_o already put out there what he was comfortable sharing. Sure he ain't just another dude on this forum, but still, we should respect his privacy and  if he wanted to share more about his health or situation, I trust he would. 

We can just hope he's taking care of himself and offer good vibes.  No need to push him.  I know you mean well, but maybe you should say my bad and put this thing to bed? Just a thought.

He's been battling and not winning. I'm not asking for details, even if I do, he only has to choose whether to reply or ignore. There's no big deal.

I haven't revealed any private life of Leo here. I am yet to understand where all these privacy of a thing is coming from. Leo first created a post about his health before any other person in this forum. Anyone can decide to create a thread about Leo 5 years later, will you also ask the person to lock the thread?
