 There's this saying that "learning never stops" which means there'd always be a need to know more and for me the moment you stop learning is when you die so if we begin to ask how much knowledge is enough to satisfy someone, it would only be depending on the individual. Humans are inherently insatiable but there are those who have their limits while some don't.
 People tend to look for more knowledge probably because they don't want to get stuck in a particular time of knowing something, it's just like constantly being updated about something to help be in sync with the times.
 Imagine if the knowledge about something was stuck in the Stone age, I don't think we would have known all we know now and I think @Blackhatcoiner gave a perfect illustration about how this abundance of knowledge thing works; you get worshipped, you are seen as the light. Let's say I have a goal that I will reach $1000 profit before the end of 2023, and I achieved it, the next year, I will make another goal that I will reach $2000, then $3000 and so on, and so forth.

People will never get satisfied. People will never know the word "contentment". People will always think of a thing that's higher or even better than the previous one, and so does investing. Some of those people are not posting for merit; again, those people you see with thousands of merits have already gotten to the rank everyone here will like to reach. So those people are posting to give us the knowledge they already have. They serve as teachers here for others that don’t know much about bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies, although if they get merited, they will feel good because merit is just showing some appreciation for the knowledge someone provides. You can see that if they get merited, they will feel privilege and do more.

I can say that your post is funny. Because I believe you have heard about where they said leaning never stops. However you say all this, I believe you know all the answers to yourself. Knowledge is something that any amount of it you have, you will still need more of. You can’t know anything in the world, therefore you must keep learning as far as you are leaving on earth, so therefore whatever someone has today, they will still be looking for more, especially when you talk about money. We humans are just plain curious.  We can't help but keep learning new stuff - it's in our nature.  Some of us just wanna know enough to get by, but others gotta understand everything there is to know! I think part of it is motivated by a desire for self-improvement.  Getting smarter makes us feel good, like we're unlocking our full potential and  can't underestimate the high that comes with mastering something new either.  People can get downright addicted to leveling up their skills. 

As for how much learning's enough, that depends on the person.  Most are happy knowing the basics about a couple topics.  But some folks wont be satisfied til they've gotten multiple PhDs and read every book ever written! It comes down to personalities I guess.  While one guy's content with casual knowledge, another one's determined to dominate every field there is.  She wont rest til he's an expert in everything under the sun!

like you've already pointed out, human want is insatiable and after you've been able to attain a particular height in a given field, the next thing that comes to your mind is how to become better at the stage you're now after which you work on how to go to the next stage.

One major factor that wouldn't give you rest of mind at every stage of your life is the knowledge that their are better privileges at the too and that if you can only put in additional effort, it will take a little time before you finally get to the top. Normally, it's actually crowded at the bottom but and their is a lot of opportunities at the top so everyone want to grow out of the crowd at the bottom so as to enjoy the privileges that abound at the top.

Using this forum as an instance, everyday people join the forum and the thing in their mind is to rank up to become full member of of the forum and if as someone that's a full member already you become contended withe your current state, it would only take time before you will see people that had no merit while you where a full member climbing to join you at that rank and might even leave you behind to become a senior member of the forum.

There are also studies whose results show that people's satisfaction decreases the more money they receive. That is, the amount of money that will temporarily satisfy demands grows exponentially. I think the answer is never. it is impossible for humans to be satisfied with what they have, there will always be new and new desires. Humans will never be satisfied as long as they don't put a number on something they want to achieve, all that is in the human mind is always thinking about wanting to gain as much wealth as possible. Let me take a very simple example, when someone has obtained a mountain of gold, then he certainly wants a second mountain of gold, this is very realistic because as long as he never targets what number to stop at, his desire will never run out.

But the sense of never-satisfaction that is so inherent in humans has a positive side. Because when you have not attained such success, all you can do from afar is to guess and assume how these people should act. I am not that successful yet, but what I just think is that to these people getting more money, attaining more power and assets is now more of a lifestyle for these people because of the years of dedication that they've put into becoming successful. They understand that the moment they become too comfortable, that that can become the starting point to poverty, so they always try to keep things going and act as though any success they have attained is nothing while they look forward to achieving the next big success. This is why the rich keeps getting richer because they never become too satisfied that they do not want more. Everything about the world are improving everyday and if you don't join the race, you will be forgotten quickly. This is why you see in all areas of life, there is improvement everyday with new and new updates to make life better. Even Bitcoin has something we called "Bitcoin improvement Proposal" where new improvement are been suggested for Bitcoin everyday, so not only forum members get new knowledge, even bitcoin get updates and these new ideas need to be study so it can be interpreted for everyone to understand, this is why we need more research and do more everyday.
