You mean? If they're ever gonna be satisfied of getting merited or ?.. nobody begs to get merited AFAIK; as long as you're being productive, you'll always keep them coming!
In general, Man's want is insatiable; lemme ask you this.. how much would you ever have that'll guarantee you to stop searching for more?. Now as long as you wouldn't stop grinding for a few more grands cus you've got real problems to solve, why should anyone do so?...

You’re right. Man has no satisfaction in everything. As long as they gain benefits, they will never stop from doing it. Most especially with learning acquisition, that I think is limitless and endless. They might get tired with something in their life but with learning, I think even in all that they make and do, learning still takes place.

And when it comes to achievements, people will never get satisfied with any of those because that simply means success for them. This is wrong, I doubt there's a single high-merit user who posts just to earn merits. All of them are hardcore Bitcoin enthusiasts who like to share their knowledge or discuss everything surround Bitcoin with other knowledgeable users. Their posting patterns didn't change with the introduction of the merit system.

Also, the idea that this forum is a place of knowledge is just a merit fishing narrative that gets spammed by newbies. This forum is a place of discussion, which is different from knowledge. This is not a stackoverflow which has harsh moderation and community voting - you can ask questions here and have no idea whether the replies are actually good or bad, because everyone is equal here - posts can't be downvoted or removed for being wrong.

Meriting is not the goal in the forum, but to educate every individual that comes in the forum, and if you get merits, that’s only a bonus. As long as you stick to the idea that this forum is an avenue for knowledge and development of potential skills, then the best you can do is to never stop from posting new ideas and insights that will add to the different concepts of every forum member.

Since you are in the forum, one is obliged to learn and get into the discussion through posting on what you can share about the topic. Whether your post is meritable or not, as long as it can contribute to the goal of the forum, I think that’s good enough. But if you can exert more effort to make your post meritable, then that would do a lot better.

I was once taught by my teacher when I was sitting with him, he told me that feeling dissatisfaction is a natural human trait. As long as humans are alive there is always a goal, knowledge, wealth and position are the aspects most needed to live a better life.

If your goal in creating this topic is to increase knowledge in the forum, you can gain knowledge from quality posts made by high ranking members who already have a lot of insight here. Insatiability has been one of the features of an individual and that has increased my level of curiosity because I don’t know when all the problems of men will be dully solved and that was why I came up with this topic (how much knowledge is enough to satisfy an individual).

Research has it that no man is satisfied with what he has . I also went further to check the profile of most prominent men that have existed and also existing and I realised that most of them have enough money yet the are still searching for more , they have power and yet they are still fighting to get more power ,they have assets yet they are still buying more properties, and I ask again when will they be satisfied?.

Additionally, I have seen so many academia , professors , yet they are still fighting for more knowledge, and the question here is when will they be satisfied?.

You have been a researcher; you are supposed to know all this, and you are still asking for more highlights, even though you have not mentioned that you are a researcher. All this information you brought out shows you definitely undergone research before you came to this destination. 

What I will like you to understand is that nothing is enough for anyone, whether it is wealth, money, bitcoin, houses, cars, or whatever you will think of, and that doesn’t mean those who have already achieved a lot of all you have mentioned are not satisfied. No, there are. But as you are getting more, you will also be needing more, so the end of looking for knowledge, wealth, and fame will definitely stop when you stop breathing, meaning when you die, if not, humans can’t stop having more dreams and expectations that you will even think they will forfeit or say they are enough with what they have. Well, you raised a good point for discussion but I think you're misunderstanding or let me say mixing things up a bit. There is difference between not being satisfied and wanting more. When you say someone is not satisfied with something, it means they are not happy with such things. When we talk about wanting more, it means you want to explore and embroaden yourself with as much as possible. This doesn't mean you are not satisfied. Satisfaction may not come from external circumstances but from our ability to adapt and appreciate what we have.

Human desires for more is endless as long as the world continues to exist. In your research, I believe you also discover that those prominent men are well happy with their life and that's a justification that they are well satisfied but the urge for more is part of human nature and you can not take it away from them.

In the aspect of knowledge, no one is an island of knowledge and learning is a continuous process with no point of end. Some knowledge becomes obsolete because of technology discovery and it's the reason we need to continue learning and growing because satisfaction and fulfillment are more complex than just meeting the basic needs. Just like one of the richest man in Africa, aliko dangote, he is a business man with many assets but yet he isn't stopping even with the amount of wealth he has, so ask yourself these questions regarding why he/others won't stop acquiring and be satisfied with what they have already.

Will he still be the richest if he stops acquiring? Will he still be able to maintain his lifestyle if he stops acquiring? Will he still be relevant? Obviously NO, and same goes to high ranked members, they have their target/position/goal to reach in this forum and even if they reach their target they still have to post everyday to stay relevant and pass knowledge to us (newbies)

For academia and professor, they still need to acquire more knowledge hence the saying, "if you leave your book for one week it will leave you for one month"

I couldn’t agree more. People will only stop from chasing their satisfaction if they are no longer alive. But while they are here, expect that they will continue to expand their knowledge, develop more skills and take more risks because humans are capable of doing that.

The mistake most people make when they want to do something is expecting something in return and the opposite is true for our involvement in this forum. Even though rewards will be given without having to ask and the ability to get rewards will be in accordance with the knowledge you have. Members with high rankings do not expect rewards for making lots of posts because they have reached the highest rank in the forum, instead these rewards are given because people see their posts as worthy of respect.

Knowledge doesnt really end I mean there is just so much and it continues to add up it is just never-ending, but I guess it doesn't but the important thing is growth and progress, as long as we are making progress and we are not stagnant on our knowledge it is great, I mean learning is really important, our knowledge is our wealth that they can't steal from us. For me, I do believe the amount should satisfy an individual is if they're super knowledgeable enough about the chosen topic that they've chosen to master, that's the way that I see things but even though I say that, I do believe too that the learning should never stop and that it should be the ultimate goal of everyone, to pursue knowledge and wisdom but if you choose to be someone that will have to contend with just being knowledgeable enough and being functional on that chosen field then the best metric that you can is if you can easily identify the problems or even recreate the problems without any issues to the imitation because if you really did got the knowledge then that means that you can easily do a purposeful mistake and know to easily fix it but I feel like this is all just impossible because learning things will never be something that you can avoid, it will almost always  that you will learn something new even if you don't like to, there's also the fact that knowledge gradually improves as new data that either refutes the current knowledge or improves it so you can never really stop as you have to also update your knowledge especially if it's sciences like biology, chemistry, physics, programming and technology.

Knowledge is the over all foundation of success and achievements. If you don’t want to gain good achievements in your life, then stay out of knowledge and learn nothing. Knowledge is endless, and no knowledge is a waste. We learn everyday from because we have changed everyday, we cannot keep on to one dimension of old age and we need to diversify and learn everyday especially as technology is becoming advanced everyday.
