It's probably the dopamine kicking in and talking. It's usually caused by either an intense rush of emotions hence the high dopamine, or that you're experiencing a low after experiencing high dopamine so much that your gut wants you to hit those big wins once more (to experience it again) hence why you keep thinking you can win something you've never won before. Yes I agree with this statement that greed is indeed a disease that most gamblers always have and apply especially when they manage to get a certain amount of winnings, sometimes people who have a proper understanding of gambling along with having good control and limits are not uncommon for them to end up breaking the rules they have made before that end up acting greedy, all of this is due to a lack of awareness when they are gambling and the sensation they feel in a winning situation really makes them carried away and finally they increase the amount of bets with the aim of getting a bigger amount.

Actually yes and for sure many gamblers will feel that way  in short they are thinking that the more we put our bet then the more we will win a big amount of money.
