Of course yes. But if you have a plan and maintain discipline these thoughts would hardly last a second. Best way to overcome these thoughts is to not gamble regularly. I think I am going to say that I have two most popular thoughts that come to my mind when I am placing a bet. First one is how I am going to spend money I would won. I think everyone have such though and plan or dream how money are going to be spend after withdrawal. Second though is rather controversial, I start planning my next bet. I will agree to this because most newbies gamblers prefer to see gambling as a way of making money, it is the losses they saw that makes them to later change but some will continue and that will make them to become an addicted gambler that is wasting money on something that is not giving them benefits no more. Gambling should be seen as an entertainment and it should not go beyond that, gambling is not a means of making money.  When I start to gamble, this affected me as I want to use it to make money. I think such feeling or thought is just as normal as it can be, it is what every gambler feel or think from time to time, I said "from time to time" because this not a feeling or thought that comes to a gamblers mind all the time, like myself, i do have such feelings but not all the time, I usually have such feelings or thought when placing bets on some games I am most convinced somehow, that I would win, so, when placing bets on such games, after seeing the amount i could possibly win, I usually get that feeling or thought that that amount is too small, why don't I increase the bet amount, so as for the potential win amount to as well get higher.

There are times I've actually listened and acted on such thoughts, and at the end of the day, I lost all the money, and I blamed myself for not going with the amount i initially wanted to bet with.

I have had almost similar kind of feeling before, where I was tempted to increase my stake in a bet i wanted to place, sometimes too i also fall for it, i will just double my stake. But nowadays, I only stick to the amount I want to use, no matter how the urge comes for me to make increase, I will just stand my ground. I have been a victim of this all the while, many times I used my signature payment to gamble and some week I exusted all my balance gambling inline with this kind of thought, because most of the time that I make such decisions, I always lose, and I regret why I allow my emotions to control me to that extent.

This feeling you just stated isn't alien to gamblers especially those who are not gambling for fun but to make money from gambling or probably to win a fortune off gambling, such people do have this feeling more often than you can imagine because the dream is always to win big against all odds, some times they get lucky and the other they lose their money.

       -   The only thing I do is what is the minimum bet in the casino. I never bet a large amount unless I'm throwing away money. That's why I don't do that because the amount I gamble is really limited. And when it runs out because of my gambling loss, I stop, and that's what I always do.

Though sometimes it crosses my mind to bet a big bet to win a big amount too, that's why I don't try until it's really crossed my mind because I'm thinking that I'm not sure I'll win and I don't want it to end right away in gambling as well.
