Do you preffer your dealer talkative or not?

A dealer is not supposed to be quiet, it is his duty to interact with the gamblers and make the  game fun and lively. Aside from being the host of the game, some of them can go all out to give the gamblers a good entertainment. When they do this, i prefer it being done professionally. A professional dealer knows when to talk and when to be silent.  At least I have not met one who interfers when he is not supposed to, I'd find it rather rude and offensive. Personalities differ, I do not like talkatives generally, so I wouldn't be pleased having a talkative dealer around. I am there to gamble, so their personal experiences doesn't matter to me.

It will be subjective as different people will have different reactions depending on how the dealer talks. For example in some cases, there will be people who find the dealer annoying while talking but to some, the way the dealer talks is nice. If it's just an ordinary discussion, that's normal, but if the dealer put some inappropriate topic to mention, it might create a commotion for those who don't want to hear that said topic.

As far as I know, these dealers are following a certain protocol during their sessions.

The dealer was talkative because it was his nature of job,the dealer should interact with the gamblers for the better support.You should not consider it as the only way for the dealer to spam on you,the dealer itself have enough work.He try to connect you for the better support,if you feel like you are get worry on the talkative nature.The gamblers had full rights to convey to their dealers,in few ways he accepted his mistake.Then you will get free from the huge advice from the dealers,it help the gamblers to learn the game in detail.

Whenever there is silence in gambling it makes me feel like I'm addicted to it.  I gamble for fun and to be entertained so there is a social aspect to it for me.  I like when dealers are fun because it livens up the table and then the other people around loosen up.  Tight tables I usually walk away from rather quickly.

You are just right, it is not possible for a dealer not to be talking at all, they have to say something. If they are boring, they will only want to talk about the game that they are rendering to the bettors and not talking about anything else. I have not seen a dealer without talking before, they say something. But dealers can be lively than other dealers, just like we people are different. Some people can be reserved while some people can make anywhere they are lively. Dealer should be professional in what they are doing, but we still see differences in them. As for me I prefer dealers that talk more as well.

Well, I have seen some dealers who are not talkative. Most of their word are, Place your bet please, no more bet please, and the number and the winner. That's it. To be honest, I hate playing at a table where a dealer talks like this. I play and chat with the dealers and I guess other players feel the same. If a dealer acts like they are our teacher who is taking our class and talks very few words, that's simply boring as a hack. I saw dealers who talk about what movie they like, what superhero is their favorite, what movie are they going to watch next, and what their life plans etc, etc. I am sure most of you guys would like such a dealer as well.

How can a dealer be silent? I have not noticed that before. But they can be silent and talk when necessary which means they are not talkative. But to be completely silent is another thing and that will make the game boring and not worth it at all. I like dealers that talk but in a professional way and talking about what is related to the current game that we are staking on and sometimes announce some winners. If a dealer fake some conversations, I am not the type that will easily know if he or she is faking it, talking makes it lively. But to some people, winning is what that makes it lively and not the talking.

It actually depends on my mood.

If I feel like I am on a losing streak and I am playing some card games that somehow involves skill (e.g. poker, blackjack, etc.), then I would prefer that my dealer would be silent with respect to anything that he/she shares outside gambling. But if I am in the mood where I get to experience some winning streak, I would also prefer that my dealer to be NOT silent.

At the end of the day, it entirely depends on my mood if I want to socialize with people or not. I mean obviously, if I were playing in an online platform, I would prefer otherwise due to the nature of the circumstances.

I think dealers are just doing their jobs and being talkative at times is necessary so that players wouldn't get boring. I think I like them when they are talkative because some of the time we tend not to care especially when we focus on gambling, it just stir up some vibes though if you hear them talking that might interest you. I don't like them being silent, they're more like a robot being dressed by their employers.

I prefer playing silently when I am gambling. One reason is to be able to think seriously with my bets and another is pressure and lack of comfortability with my gambling experience. It is just hard to focus on things if your attention is torn between minding your bets or listening to what the dealer is talking about. As humans, we are only capable of selective attention. There are just time we would want additional noises such as with socialization to other gamblers or with the dealer but for sure it won't be always on my end. First of all I chose online gambling because I only have to mind myself when playing unlike with landbased casinos wherein socialization is difficult to avoid. There are also instances wherein talking is a form of distraction to cheat although this is not to conclude but it would be better to still be mindful of things to prevent such unwanted scenario.

I agree with you. If a dealer starts talking a lot during the game, I would have a bad impression about him, because I would identify it as an attempt to distract me, consequently leading to mistakes and further losses. They have to understand what kind of public they are working with. If the dealer is among more extrovert gamblers, then he should engage in conversations without any issues, but if he spots to be working with an introvert public who isn't interesting in pushing conversations further, then he should remain silent and just do his job.

Personally, I don't have much interest in talking while gambling, because as OP said, dealers are just there doing their job for money, while in fact what they really want is to finish that as soon as possible to get back home, so why to pretend they want to talk, since they don't give any importance to that at all? Maybe to be polite, sympathetic, or something like this? It's understandable, but rather I prefer people to be genuine with their own wishes, moods and aspirations.

Most of the time when I play I just keep disabling the sound. But yeah It's okay for me if the dealer keeps talking during the game. I really don't mind if they do, maybe it's not interesting when the dealer is silent. hmm, it's not good when they talk excessively

Our choices are different, if someone can be a talkative and yet remain being focused then I don't think there's something bad in that idea as long as what he will be saying will always be on point, some talkatives can make up stories and waste someone's time for unnecessary discussions, also, some people have their kind of temperament being sanguine and they would like the phlegmatic or coleruc type which often jump into situations that shouldn't have talked about.

Yes, I will definitely feel the silence in live gambling like that, even when playing normal casino games, I often turn on the sound so it's not too quiet. Moreover, what you said is also true, gambling must be really live, even if it's just joking or telling a story from the dealer in a live game, it's also good to interact with all the gamblers to make all the players feel more alive and playing in that place is like playing in an offline casino for real. but the fact is that you play gambling in online casinos.

I really appreciate the dealer who likes to interact with all the gamblers, even though I have never tried a live game, it seems fun if I try it later, I have heard stories from my gambling friends, maybe next time I will try a live game where I can interact with the dealer so that I don't feel quiet when gambling, especially sometimes I gamble at night which is very quiet so maybe it doesn't really make me feel alive, next time I will try playing directly there. at least looking for something new for my gambling.

I get that but if you join that they are already talking I think just for respect gamblers shouldn't tell them not to talk because they're being uncomfortable unless they tell them beforehand, these dealers would surely understand. Gamblers are losing big time isn't new they know that in the first place that it's one-sided, I mean we're talking online betting here so best turn the audio off if you don't want them talking, that easy.

I personally don't like things that are noisy when playing gambling, because of course it will disturb my concentration, I gamble to enjoy it, not to socialize, some people will like telling stories while playing, but that's not the case for me.

When i am playing blackjack and trying to count cards then I do definitely prefer if they keep their mouths closed and also in general now that i think about it i'd still prefer if they kept quite TBH. We all know they are pretending to be on our sides and don't care weather we win or lose so I might as well be focused on my bets and try get their money and walk out when i am on top.

I'd rather the dealer not be totally quiet, but I don't want them yapping nonstop either.  A little bit of chitchat here and there makes things less dull when you're playing the same games all night.  Some harmless banter can liven things up instead of just staring at each other in silence.  but if they wont shut their trap, even just for a minute so I can focus, then forget it. and  I'm here to play not listen to their life story.  Just a few friendly words to break the ice, and then let me do my thing. and, without them being all up in my ear when I'm trying to make a bet.

I don't know about the others, but I felt fine hearing the story from the dealer. If the dealer is silent and seems indifferent, the game feels boring, and I become less enthusiastic about playing the card game. So far, I just let the dealers say whatever they like because sometimes they can inspire me to do something. But if they were just making up bullshit stories and not real stories, perhaps I would warn him that it would be better just to keep quiet. I think someone becomes more talkative perhaps because of the demands of his job, which means he has to talk more to make his customers not feel bored.

I prefer it if the dealer is silent and doesn't say much. because this will only disturb my concentration when gambling. especially if the dealer tells stories like fairy tales. it will be very distracting and break your concentration. maybe for me just hand movements or something are enough. I wouldn't call it talkative, although it  seems like it sometimes, but in this sense the dealer is trying to give you some warm hospitality so you can feel at home to stake your games. They're trying to be more friendly with you and those dealers especially the opposite sex of the gambler who are so friendly are the most patronized.

They really get along easily with the customers, apart from the sadists or those under the pressure of recovery. Most of them receive tips after successive wins from clients who play from their point, so the friendlier you're, the possibility of getting more clients and even making more stipends when they win.

In response to your question, I don't like silent dealers, they make me uncomfortable. I love them friendlier and ever ready to communicate
