Im not sure if I am been scammed and dont understand the terminology. I had an AI generated account with Benchmark. I have gained some profit and wish to withdraw, the transaction has been sent and confirmed and has a block number but is not showing in my wallet (TAP Account) i have now received an email to say that a company called Blockchair are holding the funds as I need to complete a Liquidity check as this is my first transaction but to do this i have to put 21% of the value of my transaction into my tap account and buy bitcoin, once this is done and verified then the funds will be returned to my personal account. I this actually a thing?

It’s a scam, blockchair don’t have access to your wallet they are just blockchain explorer which you use to check your transactions. And if the transaction is being confirm you can use the receiving address to check the transaction status, it’s a pure scam and a generated block number was given to you in other to convince you to fall to the scam scheme.
And if you can be kind enough to share the use of the site we can investigate further, as what the scammer are trying to do is to make you believe you have something to withdrawal and in other to get that out you need some money to be deposited, if that’s real why don’t they get the percentage needed from the withdrawing amount?
Pure scam never send any money to the account or you will lose it entirely.

No such thing as a liquidity check. Don't send anything and cut your losses while you still can.
If it's a large amount of money, and you believe the individuals are from the country as you, then I suggest you seek law enforcement help, if you can manage to find where the funds were sent (a CEX exchange).

I very sure it's a scam! There is no way Blockchain will have to send you such message. That's a strategy I'm very much aware of, this scammers usually give you fake receipts of transaction successful and that it will not be delivered to your account untill you make a deposit of so amount that is usually almost have of the one they scammed from you already in order for your money to be delivered.
I will suggest you block such contact and stay away from those scammers, any person that promises you a too good to be true profit in the crypto space is a scammer because it's never possible to achieve such goals as they claim. One question you should as the scammers is "If you have this kind of opportunity why didn't you make use of it yourself?".
Anyways, there is a tendency that the scammer will deploy another strategy that you should try to recover the lost funds by using their fake apps and make a deposit that all the scammers will be tracked and you money wil be restored. Don't fall for them anymore be smart enough to say NO to them.

You have probably been scammed. Do not send any more money. The so-called completion of a Liquidity check is meant to milk out more money from you. I had an AI generated account with Benchmark. Could you please post the URL of this platform if you don't mind? I want to do some small research for you.

Weird, how could you even get in there? You didn't get anything mixed up, did you? This site (if there was something there) and this domain is not active at the moment. This is what the WhoIs service tells us https://who.is/whois/benchmark.co.com. When was the last time you went to it (if you really went to this site)?

They probably shut down their website after scamming some people. Weird choice of domain name by the scammer, though. A small search shows that there is a warning about them from the FCA UK - https://www.fca.org.uk/news/warnings/benchmark-benchmarkcocomThis firm may be providing or promoting financial services or products without our permission. You should avoid dealing with this firm and beware of scams. There is also this review Pros

Blockchair is a Blockchain explorer. There’s no way they will hold your funds because they are just showing blockchain transactions. Probably this scammer is using one of the transactions record using blockchair explorer to think that your coins is in there. Your statement is definitely a scam because a real transaction doesn’t require any other conditions especially additional deposit just to proceed the transfer because there’s no way that an explorer will hold your coin transfer and impose such terms.

AI is the new hype word being used by scammers to lie to newbies. I don't of any fully functional AI powered trading platform. If there is any then, it's not known to the public. What i have seen are bot that are used to automate your trades but even using bots requires you know what you are doing such as your trading strategy etc If you don't know how to trade, better learn to do it for yourself with practice. If you don't have time to trade, then learn some long term investment strategies like DCA and then use them on reputable platforms.

The scam website is down for now, but I’m not sure if they just switched to another subdomain or the hosting service banned them, anyways, this method of scamming unfortunately only beginners and newbies to crypto who fall for it, sometimes they don’t suspect the scam her because as in other banking systems they always have different ways to pay taxes in order to receive payments. It’s almost the same idea of paying some taxes to receive your prize of millions of dollars (spam emails), they are applying same strategies and scam methods with crypto in hope of catching beginners who would easily fall into this and buy Bitcoin or any kind of cryptocurrency then send it to them. As users explained here nobody will ever ask you for another transfer in order to confirm a withdrawal or payment transaction, any other time you receive such a bullshit just know it’s a scam and ignore it. Stay safe from all these tricks.

It is obvious that you have fell into the hands of scammers. The blockchair you mentioned here to the best of my knowledge is a blockchain tracker whereby transactions are being monitored to see to the end of their confirmation and other activities as well or did they mention there for you anything else they do in the body of their message via email sent to you? I see no reasons why you should be asked to make payment to verify you before you could withdraw or before your withdrawal comes in to your account. It's tricky and possibly a scam attempt. Do not send them anything as they would scam you of your resources.

Sorry for your loss but there is no such thing. All the platforms that claim that their AI will generate profit from trading using their AI, are just another version of a ponzi scheme. They will ask you to deposit an amount and you will start making money every day based on how much you have invested. Most of the time, they show you profit results and sometimes they show loss results because they want make it look like real trading. But, unfortunately, it's just a trick to fool people. A couple of months ago, over a billion dollars has been scammed by a company named MTFE and most of their clients were Asian. Here is the scam accusation thread I have created a couple of months ago - Ponzi Trading Platform MTFE Collapse || $1 Billion scammed

Wait a bit and you really wanna buy bitcoin worth to that amount and send to them? At first you said an AI generated account and you think you have every control to that account or what because I know that every investment they require to pay some percentage of fee doesn't end well and most time it often ends being scammed site. In my opinion I will advise you not to send any further fee to that site otherwise it would be sink down there and still request for another fee maybe they would try to cook up another thing to use and extort money from you.
