Android Electrum wallet BIP39 passphrase

If you import BIP39 seed phrase on Electrum wallet, the wallet will not show the seed phrase. On Android Electrum, you can not also know the private key of any address.

Except clipboard malware that can be used even to steal on cold wallets. Is there any other malware that can be used to steal on the wallet?

You can not know the BIP39 seed phrase or any private key on Android Electrum.

I think the electrum android wallet actually allows you to view the seed phrase, i don’t use electrum android but I have actually read it somewhere it was that seed phrase the many use to generate the private through ioncoleman. But as for the private key I think the new electrum version 4.5.0 actually allows that, according to there new updates released notes https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/blob/master/RELEASE-NOTES maybe if you’re using an old version you can update it to the latest one.

As for malwares I think that clipboard own is the only I can think of that can happen to electrum. Other threats will be phishing attacks which are limited in electrum if the device doesn’t contains another malicious app or software it self

You can not know the BIP39 seed phrase or any private key on Android Electrum.

I think I've heard about Trojans malwares. They disguises as legitimate software to trick users into installing it. So Trojans are able to perform malicious activities like stealing data or enabling remote access. That's why its important not to store personal data on devices, which you use to connect to the Internet always.
I guess this malware is similar to fake apps or software that are hovering on the internet. We have heard of many reports of fake apps on reputable app stores and most times these apps may be difficult to detect especially for someone who is  not good in security. They look so similar that you may not get the memo untime and end up importing your seed into them. For wallets, is advicible to download from their original web to avoid such attacks.

As mentioned by Zaguru12, you are probably using an old version of electrum. Since version 4.5.0, electrum allows you to see your private keys on android.

Whether you use the android version or the desktop version, Electrum doesn't show the seed phrase if it's BIP39.
The seed phrase is saved in the wallet file, only if it has been generated by electrum itself.

Sorry but I'm not sure about this! Because if that was true then how is Electrum going to generate the key pairs of the imported wallet (BIP39) every time it loads?
What I know is that Electrum does not save the private keys of individually imported addresses in the current wallet files. For imported seeds, I believe (and correct me if am wrong) it creates a new wallet file in which it saves the bip39 seed.

It will not save the seed phrase but saves the master private key.

Once you create a wallet with BIP39 seed phrase, electrum calculates the master private key and master public key and saves them in the wallet file.
With having master keys, electrum can generate private keys and addresses without any need to the seed phrase.

You can not know the BIP39 seed phrase or any private key on Android Electrum.

I have been using Android Electrum for a very long but don't have experience importing BIP39 seeds on Android so if the information ir right then I learned something new.

Apart from clipboard hijacker still there could be plenty of ways you can lose funds from android electrum, let's say if your device is installed with malware then it can possibly have complete access to your device and execute any commands as long as it's connected to the internet, so never assume that if wallet. doesn't store the seeds or privkeys then your funds are completely safe.
