with so many people experiencing big losses, I think they have too much hope in gambling so that when they lose they don't stop but go back to gambling with the aim of recovering their losses, that's very wrong. we have to be able to pay attention to our finances, if our finances are stable where our needs are always met and we still have money left over then we can spend it on gambling, but if we have unstable finances then don't gamble, and gambling is not a solution to overcome financial problems .

Yes that is true, those  having too much hope in gambling usually play gamble with all there heart and from then loses and continue chasing after there looses. With all their fund and may end up even borrowing money to continue playing. But having a steady means of Income can go a long way. Itvwil save a gambler from som unnecessary expenditure that would have disgraced him publicly or in any way.

I've seen some gamblers who manage their risk by not leaving all their money in the same place too
if thy have access to a casino or perpetuals exchange sometimes they blow up, but if the casino or exchange only holds a small amount of their money then they're safe.
