I use a new address for almost every transaction, and the receive coins tab is getting really cluttered. It would be nice to be able to "delete" these addresses, obviously we don't actually want to remove the private key, but can't the deleted addresses be treated the same way as "change" addresses where they are not displayed? I'd even be happy with an external app for doing it. PyWallet?

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

If your wallet is not encrypted it's 'easy' with pywallet: grab the privkey of the address, delete it with pywallet then import it back as a change address
If it's encrypted you'll have to wait for a patch or for me to find how to take care of encrypted wallets (btw if anybody can help me about that please pm me)

Own address: 19QkqAza7BHFTuoz9N8UQkryP4E9jHo4N3 - Pywallet support: 1AQDfx22pKGgXnUZFL1e4UKos3QqvRzNh5 - Bitcointalk++ script support: 1Pxeccscj1ygseTdSV1qUqQCanp2B2NMM2
Pywallet: instructions. Encrypted wallet support, export/import keys/addresses, backup wallets, export/import CSV data from/into wallet, merge wallets, delete/import addresses and transactions, recover altcoins sent to bitcoin addresses, sign/verify messages and files with Bitcoin addresses, recover deleted wallets, etc.

Bit of work since I have 100+ addresses, but I supposed I could just delete them, since I already moved the funds from them and they were 1-time withdrawls.

It would still be nice if the delete button on the bitcoin ui worked...why is it even there?
