Let me answer your first question. Truly, I partially expected JUP to hit this high or even more than $2 due to the anticipation many users had for the token launch and the volume recorded in the second cex you mentioned was over 3 million plus, another proof that JUP got a lot of users that were interested in it.

Now the other question. For me, I think JUP will be long-term for me. If you look at its usecase, then the chain it's under and compare other coins that have done well in the Solana chain, if gives me this edge will likely do same

Probably not for a while. The coin is on solana network and a lots of people who are fond using solana are able to capitalize on this airdrop through jupiter platform. Well its quite amazing though I dont received it still one of the best airdrop Ive seen in the space of crypto before uniswap. Lucky are those who are keep using jupiter the money they get here is really huge. So I think they will dump some of it probably some will hold thinking its still gonna grow but if you based on marketcap its quite a lot circulation already.

There is no string project that would want to launch at $1. That is not a good price because of launched at the price, it could fall beyond expectations that is why we seeing many crypto projects launching below a cent. There is a reason for that and we don't need to be speculating some random price that the price of the coin might not reach. The total supply also will determine the price of the token. The lower the better.

3. Some people may still want to get in after missing the chance so it could pump again after the initial sell off

right now it is floating around $0.6, i was that one lucky enough to sell at peak, but i think this coin will just get valued around $0.5 to be honest, the market capital is too big for it to get beyond that, moreover, there are still so many coins gonna be released to the market, the circulating supply still low but the market cap already hitting 1 bil, the fully diluted market cap also as high as uniswap, though if seeing that jup has been surpassing the volume of uniswap recently if im not mistaken its deserving that value, but remember that the airdrop also give massive selling pressure to the market so im expecting if this coin were to overtake uni position it will be after people are done dumping then it might climb its way up, im personally waiting for this coin to really dump first before making re entry with the money i got from airdrop.

Jupiter (JUP) has launched and currently the price range per 1 $JUP is at $0.58, even though when the initial opening was recorded at $2, the price of $JUP continues to decline due to the many token sales that have occurred since the launch on major exchanges such as Binance, OKX and Bitget.

Unfortunately, I didn't follow the development of this Jupiter (JUP) airdrop so I didn't get the airdrop allocation, but if I got the allocation, of course I would sell it as soon as the trading pair was launched. I share your sentiment about this token, I had opportunity to accumulate TIA after it was airdropped but felt the price will further drop, unfortunately it didn't and I can only watch the token currently trading above $400. Looking at how must project on solana has been fairing lately, i have a strong believe that JUP will do extremely well in few months time from now since all the paper hands would be out already. I like the word you used which is overhyped, that's why many people are been trapped, personally I don't believe in all this token, if not that there is know how an investor wouldn't want to think about diversification, I think the best coin to concentrate on is Bitcoin, no matter how speculative new tokens or projects could be, there is no way they will be compared with bitcoin, though at this stage people like to invest much as you said because of this overhyped new about this token soon they are going to be looking another project to invest in and this will cause more damage to the project itself. All those new projects can disappoint some time if you are not careful as an investors and, you can fall victim to such project that will display from the beginning just to attract investors and the moment the numbers of investors increase higher before you will begin to see the real side of the project you hope that it will do well in the future.

Since we know that taking altcoins as an investment is a risk and it may bring something good in the future or it may bring something bad in the future which are two things one must involved  among the two before taking any decisions and, I believe Jup will reach $1 but it will not reach 6 months before the price will fall down again.
