Would this really shut him up though, I see CW as the kind of guy that wouldn't budge or even shut up until he gets what he wants, you know like a crybaby spoiled brat. Hopefully if this doesn't stop him totally at the least it will keep him out of the hair of the bitcoin developers because they shouldn't even be involved in all this claim anyway, I mean what do they have to do to prove him that he's Satoshi? If he can't even provide the needed things to prove that he is the one and only Satoshi Nakamoto then there's no point going all this way, it's funny that he's still able to go to this length just to do nothing.
No, there are a method to his madness. People has to understand that Bitcoin developers are the key people in the evolution of the technology. They have a wealth of knowledge and the power to "change" things.
A bully will always targest the biggest guy in the class, because he knows if he can take down the biggest guy, then other people will not go up against him.
CW, has a lot of money and he is using that to intimidate people, but now things has changed... a bigger guy has now entered the fight, with big pockets.
