Your all point is ok and i agree with your point. gambling addiction not only harm financially It affects children.  Children follow parents and his family members and want to learn from them so when someone gambles if there are children in his family it harms those children a lot and attracts them to gambling. And after losing gambling, the gambler suffers a lot due to which his mind is destroyed and at the same time he falls into a lot of mental breakdown which is very harmful to his body. Financial losses can be covered from other sources but other losses are not easily backed up

Gambling addiction can cause these and so much more but we can't possibly blame it on gambling but the individual who has decided to gamble the wrong way. The base negative effects of addiction that one becomes irresponsible soon other follows as the individual would make sure he does everything possible to gamble.
A gambler that isn't responsible enough and displays theses negative behaviors in front of his kids would definitely have to see his kids grow up the wrong way. As it's said before train a child the way you should grow so when the grow the wild not depart from it.

I agree with you on that, take note that you will lose money if you are an addict or not, surely you cannot win all the games you wager; gambling addiction makes you lose things more important than money. Gambling addiction makes you lose valuable relationships, either with you spouse, children or friends; only few people would not mind associating with an addict.

Irresponsible gambling will stop you from achieving your goals, you'll then set goals in gambling only, which is obviously folly. I always recommend professional help for gambling addicts, the therapy could help them heal from the addiction.

Everything @OP mentioned is correct. But it is a mistake if someone uses gambling as a lifestyle. He will need more to be able to follow gambling as a lifestyle. When someone becomes a gambling addict, they will not be able to see other things that might be useful for their life.

They will fall deeper into gambling without being able to see if there is a way out or they will stay in gambling even longer. That's because gambling requires good self-control so that they don't fall into gambling. If they feel that gambling does not provide benefits, they should leave gambling.

There are still many other interesting things that they can use to get pleasure. Nowadays, amidst technological advances, the younger generation should be more creative in creating things that can benefit them. They don't need to gamble because they can waste their time being unproductive and no longer creative. Though gambling addiction may most likely going to affect the people around that person, may it be with friends or worse with family. If anyone could remember, someone posted here a few days ago about a father who left his children in the house for more than 5 hours because he was out gambling in a local casino. That's a serious sign of gambling addiction, he lost all his sanity risking the lives of his 2 year old children because gambling has consumed his senses as if it is the most important part of his life. However, that situation may not be the worst thing that could happen to an addicted gambler, sometimes it would come to a situation where a person would took his life when he found himself in a huge debt and repaying them might seem impossible due to his current condition.

Everything written here is true and that is why the true gambling addiction can only be cured with professional help.A mere financial loss is already happening before the person has fallen in gambling addiction,for one person to become addicted it is needed for him to have quite some consecutive losing sessions.

The family is the one who feels the most heavy suffering from the addiction and the addicted person should be the one himself asking for help in order to save his family otherwise is a sure thing that with gambling addiction he will end up alone.

  Addiction has a very strong distractive hold on its victims that they majority of the times involuntarily swing into actions and decisions that ordinarily they won't encourage themself into doing. It's for this reason that if I were to own a company today I won't employ a gambler into my group of employees as it can pose a threat to productivity scale and their gambling additive attitude can also contaminate the character of his colleagues at work to gamble just like him.

Yeah, am a gambler and am carefully not against anyone being a gambler but a couple of experience over the years informed my decision not to employ a gambler in any business enterprise or a company I am in charge.

It is a wonder how some adults who have no background in gambling found their way to addiction though.  It could be the newfound wealth also, they got filthy rich they don't know how to spend it.

Most times habits are learned through friends or colleagues who are into gambling, I remember  my roommate in higher institution who detested gambling with his last breadth, but when I won some encouraging sum of money back then and gave him some as my guy, it seemed like the funds I gave him glued him into gambling. Long story cut short, we were addicts at the same time. Addiction isn't a one day thing, its a gradual process and it happens when you begin to get more involved and comfortable with consistent, unplanned gambling. Gambling discipline is the only solution I have ever employed that mitigated my addiction till date.

All over the internet and all over the streets are evidences of the derogatory nature of gambling addiction, I wonder why people still allow themselves to be caught up by it, is it that we don't learn or do we only prefer to learn from experience? Financial loss and gambling addiction are the same in the sense that you lose money, but the thing is, gambling addiction is the worst because even if a person doesn't have the means to keep on playing, they will keep finding ways to play without thinking about the consequences of gambling, and they will notice that they are deepening their suffering.

Many people or gamblers share their experiences in this forum about gambling, on how gambling ruin their lives or how it affects their daily lives. If you are a sane gambler, then you would know when to stop and limit yourself, but the sad part is gamblers are hoping and believing that gambling will be the one that could save them or could make them rich and prosper, which is a poor mind people could think.

Adults often don't realize this, and that's why we often see parents who forbid their children from smoking but they do it while smoking, so adults cannot forbid children from gambling while they gamble, especially if they are addicts unless they can be very responsible and when they can tell their children exactly the impact of gambling if it is not done responsibly

The worst thing probably is "violence", because if you are addicted with gambling, you are not calm, you will be aggressive and you might end up blaming other people for your mistake. Also, because you don't have peace of mind, you don't patience as well and that will make you violent. People are probably aggressive by nature, but as long as we are at the right state of mind, we will be able to control ourselves.

Speaking about control, if we lose control, we won't behave the right way, and we know that violence could make us end up to jail because we might hurt people around us. I've not seen an addict that's violent, but one important point you failed to highlight is aggression, maybe you need to substitute violence with it.

Gambling addicts are mostly aggressive, as a result of the loses the suffer. Sometimes, when they're having a bad day, they tend to transfer the aggression on their loved ones, friends and colleagues. A friendly joke or a little effort to crack them, will end up with them lashing out as if you're the one that collected the money or ask them to gamble.

I didn't know gamblers needed such a feature to stem gamblers' greed.
which becomes a loss for gamblers only when they cannot control their gambling well. wise people will not use their money to gamble. because they know the risks.
we just need to be reasonable gamblers. Play with the allocation that has been determined. If you win, withdraw, if you lose, you will come back the next day when there is another allocation of funds. the most important thing is, we know when to play and when we don't need to force ourselves to play.

in my opinion this problem has become a common problem and happens a lot, because in my opinion there are a lot of people who are addicted to gambling, and of course those who are addicted to gambling they experience a lot of losses, of course not only financially, other things too. there are many losses, including their health and relationships with their partners or families. There are also many cases of someone who is addicted to gambling with its impact spreading to the family, and as in another thread the impact of gambling can affect family relationships.

Indeed, many people gamble by following their greed, they tend not to think about other things, what is more important, even their own health, they can ignore it. by gambling accompanied by greed, it triggers them to become addicted to gambling, and of course they will experience a lot of losses apart from money, other things that will be lost in my opinion are.
