Hey Guys, I'm new to bitcoin mining. Bought a used S9 to learn more about it. I think it was working when I received it because the green light was flashing when powered on; however I was having a hard time finding the IP address so I factory reseted it. I was bale to find IP address but now neither the fault light or green light are on. This is the Kernel Log:

I can't see any issue on the logs except for 0 ASIC "asicNum = 0" all hashboard have 0 ASIC.

Would you mind to flash the unit with the latest firmware available from Bitmain?

You can download the firmware from the link below.

I really appreciate the help. So, this is what's showing as the file system version running:

Miner Type   Antminer S9
Hostname   antMiner
Model   GNU/Linux
Hardware Version
Kernel Version   Linux 3.14.0-xilinx-ge8a2f71-dirty #82 SMP PREEMPT Tue May 16 19:49:53 CST 2017
File System Version   Fri Nov 17 17:37:49 CST 2017
Logic Version   S9_V2.54
BMminer Version
Uptime   40
Load Average   0.00, 0.00, 0.00

How do I know which one is the most updated firmware I need from the Bitmain website? There are several options for the S9, and I tried flashing one and I got "Invalid Error" so I factory reseted the miner again.

Download the one with the most recent date, the one you have now is 2017, pretty old.

Did you enter the correct pool and worker settings? Show us a screenshot of that.

You maybe downloaded the wrong firmware I think s19 is what you downloaded, am I right?
Make sure that you downloaded the exact firmware from Bitmain the latest firmware for this unit is the firmware with a date of 2019-08-08 for s9 units.
Check the image below for what version.

Thanks everybody for the help. I managed to download new firmware and connect my rig to nicehash; however, somehow it';s not mining. I'm pasting here the kernel log:

Based on the logs above the first and the 3rd hashboard are having issues detecting ASIC chips the first one detected 0 ASIC and the 3rd one detected 15 ASICs only.

What I would like you to try is to unplug these hashboard and clean all terminals you can use the isopropyl alcohol, remove all the dust, and then test them one by one.
You can follow this guide on how to test them one by one from this link below also don't forget to try swapping cables power and data cables.

We need to make sure if this hashboard has a hardware issue or is just a connection issue.

If it is still the same then the hashboard might have some burnt or broken components. I suggest if you have a multimeter you can try to check the hashboard via test points and maybe there are some dead components or maybe a weak supply which is why other ASIC chips can't detect.

Check this site below on how to troubleshoot and repair this hashboard.

You can determine the location of the faulty chip by shorting the CO signal test point of the No. 15 chip.
