Now when I go to the checkout page, there is the Bitcoin / crypto button but it's redirecting to Coinbase's payment gateway. And that one includes things such as:

- Coinbase app
- Coinbase Wallet app
- MetaMask
- WalletConnect

So AFAIK, Ethereum payments are still fine. But I cannot find the option for Bitcoin anywhere. The account credit top-up screen now just redirects to https://porkbun.com/products/crypto. What's going on?

Really annoying as now I have to pay a double transaction fee for my order.

Yeah Looks Like Crypto Payments are only available for EVM Networks Such as Eth, Base, Polygone ETC

I've been using Namecheap since 2017 with Bitcoin. So far so good.  Grin

Edit: Here is a Tip that might be helpful for you: Using https://www.coinsbee.com/ You can buy a Redeem code for MyPrepaidCenter for any amount you need to spend on your domains. then you can go to https://myprepaidcenter.com/home and click redeem. it'll give you a limited-time virtual card with the balance you bought from Coinsbee. you can use that card for your domain renewals.

Really annoying as now I have to pay a double transaction fee for my order.

You can skip a fee step by using coinbase wallet, it's self custodial and you can import a wallet with a bit of change if you have one into it, then pay directly the bill.
But with current fees, I really don't know if it's worth it the trouble, it's still about 2$.
As for porkbun itself, the moment they asked me for a selfie was the moment I've stop thinking of them as an alternative., they might be cheaper for bulk deals but no way I'm going to do a full KYC even with a domain register nowadays.

The margin I have to pay for buying the card is very high, not as high as Ethereum ($20-30 [!]) but it's still much higher than something like Polygon or Base if you use their mainnets and not as a token on Ethereum, then the transacction fee is going to be to be a few pennies, just like in the old days of Bitcoin.

You can skip a fee step by using coinbase wallet, it's self custodial and you can import a wallet with a bit of change if you have one into it, then pay directly the bill.
But with current fees, I really don't know if it's worth it the trouble, it's still about 2$.

I actually used Coinbase Wallet but because ETH fees were so damn high and my wallet balance (barely) too low, I burned about $30 in fees trying to swap/bridge to Polygon before I could finally pay the bill Sad

Friendship ended with Ethereum now Polygon is my best friend.
