Don't set short term targets, set long term targets. If you have $2K today - try doing DCA with assuming you buy $1K now and do 10 times DCA on the same date in each different month. This scenario allows you to get a better average price instead of lump sum - but if you believe a different buyer method is more profitable, then go for it. There's no such thing as being late - it's just that you and some other users may have missed out on the lower prices.
