Yes, sometimes that's what I wonder if a casino gambler in the crypto space can even think of. Why would they even think about that thing if they don't have anything to gain from it?
I always see only two reasons why someone gambles. First, to have fun; second, to make money or get the jackpot because of the thought that they might get lucky in their gambling.

Are there other reasons besides the two I mentioned? Isn't there anymore? Unless he gets cheated at the casino, it's still a business for those who want to get money from the casino.

There are so many reasons why it's important to check and keep track of your gambling records because some gamblers will only learn to adjust their habits when they have seen the outcome of the track history from their betting account. I have a friend who constantly gamble and never once check his history until the day he checked he decided to stop or reduce it because the losing ratio compared to the wins was something that was unbelievable.

That's right and probably the lazy too.
I used to do this kind of thing although I am just gambling for fun because I thought I could keep it up but there will always be the lazy days where you just don't want to jot things down and just let it go.
Also, it hurts more when you see your spreadsheet and all you can see are red marks with a remark of a loss. This will just put you in a series of frustrations and regrets every time you go and list what happened in your daily gambling records.
There are people who don't like that and just want to forget what they have lost so I guess this is also a case-to-case basis for every gambler out there. Well, as long as we are gambling responsibly then I think we are fine.

They do not want to face the truth because many of them know that they are not in profits but losses. For people gambling for fun, they will claim that they do not want to keep records so it does not stop them from having fun when they find out how much they are losing to gambling but people do not want to hear the truth. It does not matter what you are gambling for but always check your record to know how you are doing with your money. It would not matter what I am gambling for but if my losses are bigger than my profit, I will have to take a break but people do not want to stop doing what is making them happy regardless of the losses they are getting this is how gambling addicts are created. Tracking your gambling record can also help you to identify games that you are good at and habe more chances of you winning. After knowing the game, you can decide to gamble more on that game and have more chance of winning instead of to be losing always.

This is something I wish I was better at doing, but I don’t ever let myself gamble so much that I really need to keep close track of it.  I do know that every NFL season I bet a few thousand worth of btc over the course of the year and typically end up 500-1k ahead. Thats good enough for me and not worth my time tracking really. Plus a lot of casinos do it for you. Though what annoys me is many limit the duration to like 6 mos- 1 year.

That should be the first to have in our mind even before we start gamble, losing ratio is much bigger than winning ratio.
It is not a secret so I have no idea why your friend realized about it only after he checked his gambling history/progress but it is simply tell us that your friend have no idea about gambling probability.
Keep a track of gambling progress is not that important for me, what is important for me is to keep on my gambling limit on specified time frame (weekly/monthly).
I do believe 90% or even more gamblers do not keep a track of their gambling activity because of some reasons such as it is wasting time, laziness, or maybe because they do not need it at all.
