Softwar "first edition" (first print run) of Jason Lowery's thesis

  I have never heard of this book and I looked up on Ebay some are listing for thousands of dollars!

   Can someone enlighten me on why the prices are so up there? Am I missing something here?

Jason is a Space Force and US Military person who gained a platform after posting on LinkedIn that Bitcoin is required by US government as a source of  power projection .... he caught a lot of heat as people felt he was trying to equate Bitcoin with weapons and so people were divided on him. He went on to complete his studies at MIT in Feb. 2023 and published this thesis on Amazon. It was the number one book for at least a few weeks in a niche book segment and the first print run has 3100 copies and there were a few thousand more sold after the first run exhausted ....then around June 2023 it was removed from publication without any explanation being given (some speculate it is because Jason was forced to remove it, some think publishing it on Amazon contravened MIT policy).... that's all I have from the top of my head.... Jameson Lopp did an eviscerating review of the thesis if you want a critique of the work.

Also 4 figures is not a realistic price I can't imagine many that are listed for that price on eBay actually sell

Just looked up all the actual sales of these in the last 90 days and they are selling for $200-650. I would say the average is between $450-500. The lower sales are much less common. $650 is the highest sale made on Ebay in the past 90 days, so they might be asking $1200 but they are not going for that. Still, $400-$650!, wow.

wow that's more than I thought to be honest! maybe I need to get over my dislike of eBay and list there
