Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Why not? I work with Internet security and programming, so how could I not be fascinated by a system like Bitcoin?

Where's the "for fun" option Grin
Can't forget about the bitvegas, the bit mines, the thrill of mining etc.
I'm basically with bitcoin for the fun of it. The free thousand bucks was nice too
