Is rabbit.io is the best way to swap crypto

I have recently used rabbit wallet and found it quite interesting. The good thing is that it is open source and decentralized.

Is this wallet safe to store our cryptocurrencies and can be used as an alternative to the unstoppable wallet or trust wallet? Also, the swapping rates I found are better than any other instant exchanges and again it's a decentralized service.

My question was that since it is an open source, if there was any scam attempt in the code, it must have been discovered by now or maybe in the very near future. If nothing bad is discovered, will it be good to use?

It's a web wallet, knowing web wallets are the most insecure way to keep your funds, i won't ever think twice to avoid it aside from that's still new and no reputation at all.

It's different, the one mentioned by OP doesn't have any app, both mobile or desktop.

This is a hot wallet unless you are using it in combination with hardware wallets, and it is totally different from unstoppable wallet.
Solid alternative for Unstoppable wallet that actually supports Bitcoin, monero and other coins is called Stack wallet.

This is the first time I've heard of rabbit wallets. Even though everything is good, I don't advise storing funds in a web wallet. Even I discourage you from using a blockchain wallet to store your funds. You may use it for swaps or whatever you want. For storage, I always advise using a hardware wallet. It's very important to secure your hard-earned money. Nowadays, hardware wallets aren't too costly. But always make sure your seed packets are stored in secure places. Otherwise, you might lose everything.

Well, if you look at their site, the roadmap suggests that this project is not only very new but you can see that the mobile apps will be available in May 2024. So the above app may not be related to this project.

Being only decentralised and Open Source would not mean that a project is good. If you know most of the hacks happen on the decentralized networks. There are a lot of things to look out for, the most important one is the security of the wallet.

I just checked https://swap.rabbit.io/ and i don't see how it's supposed to be decentralized service. The page shows that you need to send coin first, which indicate it's custodial centralized service. Anyway, i don't recommend this service unless you're prepared to lose your coin.

First time I see this wallet and I mixed it up with Rabby wallet from rabby.io, that is not supporting bitcoin.
I will have to do more testing to see how it works, but I wish they had version that could be downloaded and installed, not only web version.
It is easier to attack web wallets and scam users with fake phishing websites.
Another thing I noticed, Rabbit wallet only support Bitcoin, ethereum and another shitcoin.

As for their swap feature, this is done by using third-party services and exchanges.

Not necessarily. Reviews are what will determine whether it is a good service or not. If there are not enough reviews, even open source projects can work for months or even years without fraud being detected. Therefore, with regard to wallets, it is best to avoid any new wallet, even if it is Open source.

Still not a good place to store funds, but that it is open-source is indeed a good thing. The UI looks smooth. And they're indeed offering higher swap rates, at least higher than eXch's. Considering, however, that it has yet to establish trust and reliability, transactions should be in minimal amounts. Also, decentralized is once again used in a misleading sense here.

I will have to do more testing to see how it works, but I wish they had version that could be downloaded and installed, not only web version.

If they are on time, we can download its mobile app in 3 months.

The wallet actually supports more. It claims to support over 50, but I could only count 47. You can also manage your list and remove that another shitcoin if it's too much of an eyesore.

Probably one of the ways to swap crypto but seeing everything, it's just the same. What I could formulate about it is the difference between popular DEX and rabbit.io is the design and UI. Most of the famous DEX' are cute too so maybe this one will rise in value as well? I do hope that everyone will approach it with caution seeing that it's quite new and little reviews yet.

They said that it is open source, but has it been verified like that, can you check on the source code, or will you go by the information already seen about it from GitHub, there's nothing freaking about any newly introduced wallets, what the community do is to confirm and verify all the informations about them to be true and trusted, as for me, I can't batch into using such for now not until am much convinced that a lot of people are using it.

Might be worst though. Because it might be open source, but at the same time is a web-based wallet. There's is nothing that guarantees that the version you're using on your browser is the same one hosted on GitHub unfortunately.

Yes, i also checked that the swap rates are much better at rabbit.io as compared to other instant exchanges/swaps however alone this factor should not be a reason to use this wallet. Even any scam sites can also give us the best rates to swap so people get attracted to them, try swapping and lose their money. I am not saying that rabbit site is a scam as I do not have any evidence.

I haven't seen any review (good or bad) of the person who actually used and experienced the site. I do not see anyone talking positively about the site or anyone having a bad experience with this. Maybe no one is using it or those who are using it, didn't get any complaints. Anyway, if there are no complaints mentioned, we cannot take for granted that the service will be good, We need to hear positive reviews in order to try it.
