The first thing that a newcomer hear about crypto is Bitcoin. Once the person is interested in crypto, they will learn and share more about altcoins

Bitcoin is always and will remain the father of all crypto coin. Even my old grandfather in the village will have once hear about BTC. With this alone, BTC will remain incomparable with any coin or token in the crypto space.
Without deviating from the actual focus of this thread, I will only want to buttress more or throw more light to what Bitcoin is; Bitcoin isn't just the father or first cryptocurrency but it's a paradigm shift that occured to shift the thinking of people from its original state to another. Its more likely to be first and most reoccurring word that happens to repeat itself in the space.

To OP with my little knowledge in the cryptosphere I think altcoin season is just a phrase used to express a particular event that happens after bitcoin biggest price movement which is every other altcoin reaching a new ATH.

It is a general believe in the cryptocurrency community that Bitcoin bull season is usually followed by altcoins season. I don't know the logic behind it hence the reason for this post. The present bull run seems to be dominated by Bitcoin and its already taking too long without corresponding rise in price among the notable altcoins.

So, should we also expect altcoin season following the current bull run? If yes, what are the best altcoins to focus on?
Of the many bull run periods in Bitcoin, it will indeed affect the altcoin market as a whole, so we can expect this to also happen during the current bull run, but on what altcoins we should focus on, it seems like it's too late because we should start buying altcoins when Bitcoin is not yet bullish. because altcoins are at very low prices, whereas currently many altcoins are starting to increase.
You can check that altcoins like shiba inu are being pumped and it will be quite dangerous in my opinion if you buy them now even though shiba hasn't reached its last ath a few years ago but those who want to buy should know the potential losses on this coin, and I hope shiba can rise beyond its ath in a few last year.

If we are to expect the altcoin season within the bull, I guess you are suggesting that Bitcoin will be stalled after which the altcoin season will follow. If that be the case, I don't know if there will be enough interval of time before this become noticeable that we are in the altcoin season. If you check, Ethereum as well as other major altcoins have been rising along with Bitcoin as expected because when Bitcoin rises, other cryptocurrencies follows it. I know some people are already looking away from Bitcoin, people who feel that Bitcoin will not give much profits. Maybe they are targeting the altcoin season to see their investment experience the explosive growth.

According to previous cycles, this has absolutely the basis to happen. The money flowing into the market will go into Bitcoin first, then will rotate to Altcoins. But now with this cycle, I see some differences. That is the strong division of Altcoins when the number of Altcoins available on the market is too much. Meanwhile, the cash flow is not really too much to have a simultaneous price increase of all Altcoins, but rather an increase in price according to certain narratives (eg L2, LSD, AI, Dex...).. Therefore, I think investing in Altcoin will no longer be as easy as in previous cycles(just choosing the right time to buy any coin will also win).
The current market context is different, many narratives are drawn, whichever narrative is attractive and trendy at the present time will attract cash flow first. If you are not really quick to update new information, you will be very confused in choosing which type of Altcoins to invest in, and easily choose old Altcoins that no longer have improvements or compatibility in the future. It leads the profits you earn will be significantly lower. With my ALtcoin investment plan, I prioritize choosing new ALtcoins with many improvements suitable for the upcoming market instead of old Altcoins that have gone through many cycles but still have no improvements.

Maybe that is the only reason and once those Bitcoin investors full out their earning in bitcoin then they are converting into altcoins this is why altcoins are following bitcoin and that is the what we have seen for how many times .
and there is no typical logic but the movement of those big investors and of course we are following them.
