As per my understanding until Bitcoin dominance in the cryptocurrency market does not go below 50% we won't see altcoin season. Looking at the current market condition I do not see any possibility of altcoin season coming soon. The gains that Bitcoin is getting every day are the after-effects of Bitcoin spot ETFs. The demand has not dried down on the contrary it going up. This is the halving year and that means we can forget about altcoin season unless the Ethereum spot ETF gets approved. If it gets approved then we can expect a small but good altcoin season.

If Ethereum is to break it ATH then it takes some more time, even when Bitcoin was very close to breaking it's ATH Ethereum was still a bit behind in reaching it's ATH, so definitely Bitcoin will break it's ATH first and if the market continues to be bullish, Ethereum will break it's own too. Even if the market get bearish there is a high tendency that Ethereum ETF would be approved in the month of May and that could also lead to its bull.

I think this season's bullrun is a super mega cycle where there will be a lot of altcoins hitting their ath. Especially with fund managers such as Blackrock participating in the BTC ETF. I think there will be a lot of new investors who will get into crypto and some will try to invest in altcoins in the hope of getting returns of up to several hundred percent. I think this season is different from previous seasons.
