I am offering a reward of 1.57 OLC for IP that had open port 7109 all the time.
To get the reward, you need to host a webpage with Olacoin address on it from your IP on port 157.
I will check it each Sunday and Thursday until the end of month and if there will be a valid address I'll send the reward to that address.

185.252.***.***

0.325 OLC (because they are no longer connected):

1.169.***.***
212.87.***.**

I've been online all this time.

I only have 1 peer, though: 95.163.228.162

This coin has the lowest threshold for tx size... why does this chain suck so badly?
I tried to compile all my mined accounts and the max size was 69 tx's at 10kb !! WTF is that all about?

... and the Discord link isn't working.

... and when you 'walletdump <file>', it gives this in the top line: # Wallet dump created by Bitcoin v0.2.2
(p.s. this isn't Bitcoin)

I've been online all this time.

Your Olacoin port 7109 was closed. You can see it here. That is why your node not shown in list of peers if you try to run Olacoin from other IP or process.

Mining Waste Fix

All who mine Olacoin need to redownload latest release which was recompiled again with the same version number.
Nodes who were continuously mining and had not restarted the process for few weeks may experience mining waste because of the issue which was fixed in updated release.

'all who mine...'
ya. there isn't anyone mining this.
with 1M pre-mine and 0.00225 block reward, no one will ever touch this coin.

You killed it before it began.

And NEVER release an update with the same version. Why do you think there are 3 places for version number? USE THEM! v0.2.3, was that so difficult?

And address the lame tx restriction. Max 69 txs can be moved at one time? Is this an inside joke?

...

Why you slandering throughout all the thread like a rabid dog. Are you not able to just have a decent conversation. Yes there are miners, and the 17k blocks were mined without even having a listing. And 90% of these miners do not even have an open port which probably will force me to introduce block deprioritization for the miners with closed port. You may be right about tx threshold though. It was added so more tx can fit into a block so no one can occupy all the block place at once. I will think about increasing the tx size for txs spending only initial coinbase rewards and lowering tx fee for them. The fee for coinbase txs seems like a problem to be fixed.

Bro, you make a coin that is difficult to mine, difficult to move and erroneously unfair with the pre-mine. It gives no one incentive to bother with it.(only people with free hydro will mine it).

I ask questions and you do not even reply to them.(granted, you finally did).

Tell me, who would want to mine this? If (and big if) it made to a market, who would trust you didn't just dump it all and kill any semblance of a trading life and just move on to something else? We don't know you from a hole in the ground. Why wouldn't you dump&run?

You need to ask yourself why people are in crypto. It is not for an alternative payment system because that is just nonsense talk every youtuber says to people. It is only to make money (FIAT).
All these in-game crypto projects die because they never become traded in real world. The ones that survive are on the markets. This coin will die because you made it so one-sided that no one can make money off mining it.

I speak truth. I am not slandering anything. It is only slander if it is fake. Correct my mistakes if you see any and I will retract what I said.

I am harsh with every project. No one is free from my criticism. I kicked a lot of projects and yet many still survived(don't know why... mind you. Must be early crypto whales investing in them).

Don't worry. With proper marketing and possibly a few tweaks in future releases, this coin can survive.

As for open ports, I have 3 wallets running. They only see 1 peer. I know 2 of my wallets have open ports and routers forwarding the port to their IP. One doesn't even have a firewall and it still only has 1 peer. Either it is your code, or it is using a different port then what I opened. I don't know why my wallets don't see each other. portchecker is open on 2 of them. 3rd is a headless unit and links doesn't open it properly to check.

What would the penalty be for "block deprioritization for the miners with closed port"?
And how to figure that out? IP is not in the block formation code.

Plus, were is the source? If this is randomX then it would easily be placed on a pool for all to have fun with.

suggestions:
1. hard fork and increase the block reward to 5 or higher. (can reference to bitcoin)
2. opensource
3. discord or TG

I don't think he know how to modify the chain.
Or advertise about this project. It is how it will be.

I agree with jimmy168, just fork the chain, fix the reward, create discord, twitter, and telegram, don't premine to shit and set an actual path for your coin.

v0.3.0 is released!
Added mining button to wallet - never was the mining so easy before in the history of the world!
Starting from block 28000 the chain will be forked, and nodes of older versions disconnected.
The breaking change allows for transactions which have only coinbase as inputs to be of larger sizes.

Fork means that old clients will be incompatible with the new chain because of the rules which they do not accept. The chain remains the same for updated clients.

This is a bad fork. Why break old coins? Now I start from 0 again?
You know, the entire premise of blockchain means 'build on top of'. Why do old coins become useless? Imagine BTC updating to latest code and all old wallets now mean nothing. Everyone would cry, then the coin would be worthless.

Does 0.3.0 start from block 0? You might as well restart the chain if <0.3.0 coins are useless now.
