On a serious note, our Nigeria forces are recruiting personells in unprofessional manners and tolerating with professional levels of excellent exhibitions of the so called paramilitary forces. Especially the police force.
How do we rate the nuisance acts of our security personnels illegally penetrating into people's houses in criminal manners?
During by stays at school in 2015, some set of security forces (police) invaded our school lodge with a ladder jumping over the fence at 12:30 A.M, forcing everyone out from their rooms and maltreating all the guys with a matchet flogs and they went along with all the men residing in the lodge. While they matched us to the location where they parked their car, there goes a guy with a facemask in the vehicle who who responding to the police with the words confirm & No. His response comes after the police asks him if singularly if so so and so should be arrested because his intentions is to protect the interest of his friends who lives in the lodge so that they don't get victimized by the police. So basically when he response confirmed that means take him and when he says no that means let him go.
That was how he denied 3 of his friends from being arrested and over 13 of us were arrested.
We later found out the guy on mask happens to be one of their local community agent who gives them informations of lodges that are dominated by men just so they can invade in and illegally arrest the guys with false allegations. The truth was revealed after investigations was made by the intrudement of the school security commission.

I brought this up because after the end SARS national protest, there was either a limitations or a seize up of such nuisance occurances.
But it is quite unfortunate that it keep on repeating. Just last week, some set of police invaded into a woman's compound jumping over the fence with the ladder at midnight to arrest a tenant in the woman's compound. For the woman to hear about the sudden and unexpected horrible noise in her house at a late night, she noticed some armed men being the police and just so, she fell down and died out of high blood pressure of being unable to stand the ungodly situation in such odd hour.
The police succeeded in arresting the guy and at the public accusing the police for being responsible for the woman's dead, they just denied to accept the fact that their invasion in the woman's house caused the sudden slumped and dieing of the woman. And few days after, the guy who was arrested by the police was released and found not guilty for what the police intended to arrest him for.
Now the woman is dead and gone just like that.

A lot of barbaric acts are really going on in this country and the authorities are being silent over it all because life only seems worthy to then when it has to do with the rich or people of them same status and portfolio as them.

I don't think the problem is the police. The root cause is actually the government. I mean, if police officers are properly paid and paid on time, these police officers won't get involved tin these dirty activities. I have had the experience (I was handcuffed for no reason and extorted) so I know what I'm talking about. If the government has made better provisions for officers we won't be in situations like this because it started during the tenure of Buhari.

Towards the end of last year, EFCC said they'll no longer do those night raids but ended up doing the same thing recently at a school.

I have no issue with the efforts of the police / law agencies but I don't understand why they refuse to investigate politicians that steals public funds but go after citizens. These days, you can't even pass a single checkpoint without the police searching or harassing you. I am completely against internet fraudster and applaud their efforts to curb the isaue but when they start casting a wider net or stereotyping people, it's a no no for me.

So that's to tell you the rate of crime going on in this country, the security agency are part of our problems, many of them are not well trained on how to handle guns, alot of stories about accidental discharged, what's the cause, in fact God will help us and save our lives in the hands of our so called leaders because we don't know their plans....

You are on point saying the government are to be blamed and not the police or the security agencies themselves. But in a Contrarily, it could be clear that these agencies are not well paid or being taken good care of by the government but hell no, that is not enough reason why they would unleash their anger towards the civil and innocent citizens. In an organization, if your employer doesn't give you better offer for services rendered, you have just one option which is to quit and not to steal, extort or extract money from him or her in any ways as an excuse to cover up. No!
So, I strickly blames the government of their incapabilities to run reputable security agencies commission. The government are recruiting us with criminals with government approved licenses. That is what I know and that is why these agencies are bold to say they would shoot an kill you and nothing will happenbans yes, they could do it and nothing will happen unless they tries the nonsense with on e if a high personalities. The poor sufferereth like the slavery in this country.

I typically blames the government because there is no active disciplinary measures exercised on this so security agencies which gives them more morales to exceed in their barbaric exploits.

If we have to consider the fact that the government doesn't pay these agencies well, then there should be rooms of pardons after they succeedingly exhibits those acts of them.
@nelson4lov, how do you justify the police with the fact that they handcuff you and extorted from you so innocently as you said?
Why don't they go after these politicians with criminal manners which we all know just as your thoughts?
The savages in this country is just all to the pool of the innocents and the poors suffering it.

Judging from one side of the matter we can say the government are part and parsle of such act since they are of higher positions to address the issue but they have failed to do so. But then, the main problem is coming from the police, they are now operating out of the rules and regulations guarding the citizens, feelings of being in a higher level than every other civilian, just by the time this thought is abolished from their mindset then alone we can see changes.

In the case of being paid little or lately is not enough for them to adopt such an act, I believe they were not forced into any of the forces it was all voluntarily and we can see so many occupations and business one can venture into and make good money.

The nuisance caused by these fellows are indeed alarming and we don't see the government showing so much concern about this. Even the local vigilantes in the local parts of the country misuses the privileges given to them. The other day, I saw news about how a local vigilante of a town in Rivers State opened fire on his brother over a little family rivalry, a misunderstanding that could have been settled amicably, he took laws into his own hands and shot his brother, leaving him in a very pitiable state.
This isn't the first time I'm hearing about the harassment and intimidations caused by these fellows to innocent citizens. The government should really look into this matters and put a lasting stop to it before it becomes worse than it already is.

This will continue to happen because we are in a lawless country, the leaders and their cohorts are after Nigerian wealth not the well-being and the protection of the citizens, how would a security personnel employed to protect life and property turn against the people, what I just see in Nigeria is that people misuse opportunity, everyone see his post as an opportunity to undo people and this mindset needs to stop, the brutality is now becoming unbearable, is just that no matter how we yearn the government will never hear us or come to our rescue, which way Nigeria, the only way to stop this, is by total restructuring in all institution of the government.

It is just a thing that the people power of authorities are being vested on are being above the laws and unquestionable in the society we lives in today. You would go to the bank and a man with millions in his bank account have a license to keep the queue instructed by the bankers and of which there are average individuals whom had spent hours patiently waiting for their turn in the queue and If the average man happens to speak out about the inappropracy, even the common security personells would ject you outside totally off from the bank in a disgraceful manner just because they gets little pennies from the rich man after his transactions in the bank.
Every little one with power of governance or authority fells so goddess or a lord in the societies of today's. Oppressions snd intimidations every in towns while the vulnerables a short of their own rights.

That is why you see some countries are still experiencing insecurity in deir various countries, which are some of the things it can cause to such country that failed to recruit their personnel in a due process because, they will never do what is right to favour the citizens than to start looking for quick way to enrich themselves illegally in the country.

D barbaric acts of our security has landed us to were we dey now in d country because d people dat suppose stop d act in d country but dey are d ones using it to play politics with people life and it has turned to another thing were people can no longer move freely in d land.

I guess everyone is aware that the major problem of this country is the structure, once a well structured government that has been restructured for selfish interests and there has been so much self interesting benefits inside of it so, who would do the restructuring because the restructurers minds are being corrupted already as much as the system of the government is corrupted.
So I don't know if the said structurers should be whipped out before a new structure can come into the system and who has the power to whip them off?
There could still be remedy's for this nuisances to be one of a past in history but for now, the situation seems helpless like this is just how it would continue to be.

So many structures in the country is already failing and security is one of those because we can see the rise in terrorists activities, kidnapping and raping and some robbery cases of which was  never seen before being perpetuated now. The security personnel too are scared and when money especially lots of it is given them in many instances they turn a blind eye, as if to say they only exist to protect those who can afford their services.

Let's blame it on how hard financially the country has become and pray we get a well deserving government that cares about its citizens, so that those who have the means to live by and those who can't, can be sure of their properties and valuables including money that may be claimed without a care for their lives from even the people that is paid to protect them.

You took the words out of my mouth and into your phone op, it’s amusing to say the least but you’ve outlined nothing but facts here, In a corrupt country like ours the government is constantly trying to deceive its citizens of the most common truth.
When you have a first hand experience with our so called security operatives you’ll ask yourself weather their job is really to protect lives and property or destroy, speaking from personal experience I can tell you most of them are untrained to do this job just as so many Nigerians are doing jobs not aligned with there field of study like when you see a civil engineer working in a bank, the government need to wake up there is so much a country can take before it begins to collapse Nigeria has already started its own I pray we all don’t go down with Nigeria.

You talk as if you don't know that this police are ontrolled by politicians. The politicians controls the military and this military people always misbehave because they know they have back-up from this so-called politicians. It bleedings my heart to see how innocent youth have been molested by police on the street leaving their responsibility or duty and put their efforts by keeping checkpoint where they estort money from innocent Nigerians and arest some innocent one due to their dressing code. Transporters find it difficult to make profit from transportation due to constant taken of checkpoint fee. All this things is also making transportation to be costly because when police keeps on estorting money from drivers, they also increase transportation fee because police is shorting their money, so the best way to pay back is putting it to the passengers. Government is not doing well and police is also not doing well. They where sorpos to be our backbone but now they are now our problem.
