Yes, if someone really wants to earn good returns from Bitcoin investment then that person has to hold his investment for at least 2 to 4 years in order to earn some good profits. For better profits I believe an investor needs to hold that investment for at least a decade.

It's expected that in future Bitcoin will gain value of at least $1M a coin and the ones who invested in Bitcoin during last bear market would reap so good profits by holding their investment for a decade. There is no need for a god to convince someone that BTC will reach its ATH again, @OP didn't say anything about the exact time frame, he just said that long-term BTC investors have more to gain than short-term investors. Remember that BTC has a limited supply, and with this, the level of scarcity will increase over time. That's what makes @OP believe that long-term investors benefit more than short-term investors.

That's not really a long-term investment, that's only 1-2 years and long-term is like 5-10 years. Day trading is a very bad idea, and trying to predict weekly or monthly trends is not much better, but betting on the halvening cycles isn't bad even for beginners. Most important is not getting too greedy and actually sell during the bull run, and then not get too greedy in the bear market and buy before the price starts bouncing back.

There is no certainty that bitcoin will make a new ATH and bring profits to many bitcoin holders. But as a bitcoin investor, we have the right to be optimistic and believe that history will repeat itself, bitcoin will increase in price and create a higher ATH. But you are right, we can be optimistic but not subjective, we should still have a backup plan if bitcoin fails to create a new ATH, history does not repeat itself.
