Well it's going to be obvious if a coin is suspended,

b. no deposit
c. no buying
d. no selling

There could be a lot of reasons why a coin is going to be suspended by let's say Binance. But I speculate that it could be of security reasons, maybe there was a hack that is going on or at least that coin has been compromise. So it might take days or months because Binance will resume everything on that coin.

AFAIK, you can't even convert the small amounts into BNB if it is suspended. And that's why if it's allowed to withdraw, you gotta withdraw that and sell it somewhere else or with another exchange.

I tend to agree that when choosing a trusted exchange we must join their announcement channel for awareness.

Coins are listed on exchanges to be traded, so it is normal for them not to be suspended,  this may happen for several reasons, some of which are related to liquidity, technical problems, or even legal problems, but this is supposed to be temporary and be resolved quickly so that trading can resume, if coin is suspended on one exchange, such as binance, the problem will be resolved quickly, but if it continues for more than two or three days without an explanation of the reason, it will most likely be delisted soon.

Yes, but not always because there could be unforeseeable scenarios for exchanges like binance. One example would be, whenever SOL goes down lol.

It may be due to regulatory pressures, or it may be due to the high consumption of BTC --> XMR and then the withdrawal, as it has become a cheaper way to mix bitcoin and some mixing services use it as mixing algorithm, or it may be related to what happened with FixedFloat.
There are many reasons why they delist #Monero, especially with the authorities trying to impose more fines on them.

As a service that provides its own liquidity for trades, we have to protect our liquidity from extreme volatily in order to prevent losing our capital.

If we increase a price by 5% 10% or 22% it means we only do it to protect ourselves from some factors currently affecting the coin's price and not to make extra gains.

We are barely able to make any profits even with a current 5% service fee but it's at least a good (and only) mean of protection against high volatility.

When a coin is suspended from an exchange it means it can't be withdrawn or deposited on the exchange where it is suspended, but trading, or conversion of existing coins on the exchange is still possible considering the fact they also said to stop or restrict that. It does not take long for finance to release a suspension, because if they are suspending some coin then that might be due to some technical problems they might be fixing on, and when that problem is fixed, the suspension can be lifted as well.

But some coins might be suspended permanently as well, time is given by all exchanges and they are then scheduled to that time table means they have to suspend the coin at the exact same time.

OP I cant get it, what type of suspension you are talking about some sort of delisting or temporary unavailability of a pair, it depends on what you mean by suspension of trade in any pair or coin if it's due to the platform they'll fix it within the deadline they gave in the announcement and you can follow their latest developments to stay updated, if there's something wrong with the Coin itself then the suspension depends on the scale of victims.

Suspension may vary from situation to situation but the delisting sort of cases are not the same, those who are delisted probably don't get enough trading volume and market interest, exchanges used to delist such dead coins but they provide a proper delisting timeline to avoid the fund's loss issues for the users.

You speak my mind but what I want to add most time exchange may discover the coin listed have some issue during their presale as investors may have some report that is not clear against them, the exchange may decide to suspend the coin pending when the issue is settled mostly some shiltcoin and altcoin .but suspension always lies when what leads to such has be rectify .

When a coin is suspended from an exchange, it just means that we are not achieving the quota required by the exchange where it is listed. Of course, all exchanges have their own volume quota if they want to stay on the exchange.

In addition to that, there are not many traders who have an interest in trading in coins, because when there are many buyers and sellers, for sure, those coins will last a long time on an exchange platform.

It depends on the reason behind the suspension, I knew it just kept in the suspended state for years in few exchanges but since we are talking about Binance hopefully they act better than others or atleast will give an update and possible time when things become normal.

If you are talking about maintenance then usually it only last for hours, anything else more likely a technical security related issue from project.

    I am not that familiar with exchanges and why they give suspensions to other coins. Maybe the others here are right that a coin listed on an exchange platform may not achieve the required requirements; I just don't know if it's every week or every month.

Maybe, from what I see, it can be when there is not much volume entering the coin each day. This is one of the reasons why a coin is given or issued a suspension on the exchange platform.

Obviously they are there for a reason but you should rather say that a suspension is normal and can happen at all times as there are now lots of new coins and many of them are shady so in order to save the user and the exchange reputation, they need to do some investigations first and see if they can re-allow the coin again to be traded or not.

We can only wish that it will be resolved quickly because what if not and we still have that coin? It won't hurt that much if we know we will be refunded but I think on most cases it doesn't happen. A few days of suspension might still be normal but if it's longer than a week or two, that would be alarming already. This is why we should be very picky when we invest or trade and much better if we choose only the most established ones.

This will depend on the issue of the coin and of course depends on the terms of the exchange, if you think that coin can still be activated on that exchange then you can wait until the exchange lifted the suspension but no one can tell when aside from them. If your are holding a coin that will be suspended better to make a move early and withdraw that coin as soon as possible so you can still access your money.
