Gambling for fun and not a way of making money

It is easy to say that gambling is fun but in reality gambling can be taken as fun by some people. No matter how much a gambler takes gambling as fun, after a while gambling is no longer fun for him, but gambling is considered a significant means of earning money. Suppose a gambler initially takes it as fun but after some time if he faces big losses from gambling then he takes gambling as a challenge. Gambling became a dominant source of income for him when he became busy trying to recover his gambling losses.
So no matter how much we accept gambling simply as a source of entertainment but in fact when it becomes such an addiction in people then the gambler automatically takes gambling as a source of income.

Right Everyone says gambling should be used only for fun. but it is difficult to say what percentage of people actually use gambling only for fun. when one bets in gambling, everyone's objective is to win and win means profit. no one wants his bet to lose. while people don't spend a lot of time in physical casinos, people spend huge amounts of time and money in online casinos, and everyone's goal is to win.  Gambling is now ruling the online world.  Being away from here is very difficult now. There is no way one can gamble for fun and don't have small intentions of gambling for money.

But like I said, it has been made clear to the person that gambling is dangerous if you are using it to chase money, that the end result or outcome may be bad. It's sad that many gamblers see it the wrong way. It's true that those who gamble for fun don't want to lose their money, who does? It's damn frustrating when that happens. But, we should not take away the fact that we should be having fun while trying to win against the house.
Sometimes gamblers are fed with the wrong idea especially if they keep on watching streamers who only show the good things that happen to them and not the bad ones. Then, there are those fake gambling streamers who are not really using their own money but they are funded by whatever gambling site they are promoting.
When newbies are pulled into this and have the thought to mimic it, that's when it all goes wrong. The purpose becomes different and they are actually not having fun anymore but instead being serious about winning everything every day which is impossible. I think I've played enough and wasted enough money to see that. RTP is surely there but it won't be like giving you everything back. Do the math using the house edge.

I don't know why some people are so naive that they don't understand such a simple thing. Streamers are not special people on the face of the earth and casino rules and algorithms are the same for them and us, so if you see that they are always winning or at least ending up on the brighter side after every gambling and streaming session, you should know that isn't what would normally happen to someone gambling.
So someone watching gambling streams and streamers should at least have some doubt about how they manage to win so much money and even if they lose, they aren't bothered much by it even if they act as if they are bothered, the reason is because it's not their money whether they win or lose, they are just getting paid to do that and promote the platforms they are using on stream.

It is so much easier to play with the smallest possible amounts and still have just as much fun gambling as if you were playing with large amounts. But this only works when you understand that getting rich through gambling or even making a steady income is technically not possible. Sure, you could, but it would take half a miracle. The math is not on your side. And yes, you could get lucky and make a lot of money once, but that is not going to happen again that seemingly easily.

Once you understand this, you will give up on chasing large winnings and stick to the tiny winnings. And it will be just as exciting and fun. The only difference is that you won't need to take a loan out on your house .

I was an advocate of this (gambling solely for fun and nothing else) but honestly, I've changed my mind, it is wrong to believe that people will spend all of their hard earned money on gambling just for them to have fun, very wrong believe if you ask me.
There are several games people can play for free for fun's sake, there are video games that are way more interesting and fun to play than any slot or casino game, there are also some really good betting games that are far more intriguing to play than sports betting, what exactly do you think make slot games, Casino games, and even sports betting so interesting that people would want to spend their money on it just to have fun? As far as I know, non of this games are as interesting as playing a good video game on my laptop or mobile phone for free.

To believe that gambling should be done purely for fun is dilusional(sorry to say), I once posted a poll on this board where I asked gamblers on this forum that, if the possibility of making money through gambling is completely removed, and they have to keep spending their money to gamble, but will never win a dime because it's completely for fun, will they keep gambling?, the 100 percent who those who answered the pool said no, that they would stop gambling, for what is the essence of gambling if they can't win money.

A simple explanation of how you both are correct.
The way Mr. X perceives gambling wouldn't be the same way Mr. Z views it. Which is very common in today's society.

Mr. X may take gambling as an approach to making money, while Mr. Z takes it as fun where they spend less money in their leisure time and they tend not to stress themselves about winning or losing.

Mr. Z on the other hand, doesn't view gambling to be so because it involves money, and they tend not to risk their money for nothing sake just for fun(understanding fact) and they would like to go into a with their whole mind and strength to make sure they gain from it not by wasting time.

The truth of the matter is that every gambler has a different perspective on gamblers. Which is very understandable. You can gamble for fun while others don't  view it to be fun

Gambling is not a stream to depend on for income, rather its meant for the generation of extra changes for the pocket, we just have to look further because Gambling will definitely liquidated those persons that entirely depend on gambling for survival or stream of income. They both ain't wrong. Gambling is actually a way of making money, ofcourse a lot of lives have been transformed from huge gambling wins, but not all has been lucky to experience this transformation. Those who ain't lucky are the ones who often end up with one gambling problem or the other because they spend most of their time trying hard to recover all they've lost to gambling. Every gambler cannot deny the fact that they all aim for profits but then, we need to be careful so as not to cause more problems to ourselves while chasing Profits.

Many people often gamble under the disguise of having fun. It is very okay, at least it has helped a lot of people gamble within a favourable limit while still hoping to make more money. The whole idea of seeing gambling as a fun activity is to avoid over-reliance on gambling as a source of income and means of survival. I have no issues with people who feel gambling is all about fun, provided the fun activity doesn't cause any damage.

If we refer to the dangers of gambling then obviously the best decision to make is "don't gamble at all", this is the best choice if you absolutely do not want to lose money for nothing, and if you still want to engage in gambling then obviously the choice is that you must be able to accept the fact of losing at the end of the session and never gamble with the idea and purpose of "wanting to make money" because it is a bad idea that you can never achieve unless you are a croupier or casino owner yourself.

After all, casinos are a business to benefit the house in the sense that anyone who tries to take advantage of the situations and opportunities that exist in gambling then usually the opposite happens is that you will actually lose a lot of money slowly and sometimes it's not realized. Well, that's how it should be. But let's admit the fact that  majority are seeing gambling as a way to make money. One of the reason why many of us are becoming addicted, it's because of the desire to gain and setting aside the play for fun reminder. If there's no money involved it won't be that exciting, the possibility to gain huge in snap and can make a gambler an instant rich is what attract them the most.

If you have told me that gambling is an activity to be self-reliant, I might agree, but you can't tell me that gambling is for fun; no one will use his money to lose; that is just the fact, and if really you are doing it for fun, I see no reason why you will get angry when you lose or even think of toping more money to play and get your money back; that shows that gambling is just a scheme to gain money, but people tend to deceive themselves by thinking gambling is for fun. I can assure you that there is no fun in losing; that is just a fact. 

All we need to understand about gambling is that it is a game of luck, so you should reduce your expectations of winning the game and focus on your budget. When you are up to the limit, whether you gain or lose, just leave immediately. Like me, when I am gambling, if I have gotten a little or a bit of the money I put in the game, I am definitely leaving and not continuing. I was almost going all out on this notion of gambling for fun and not a way to make money...but after reading the OP, I get what message is being converged here... gambling for fun isn't the literal meaning as this is more of an idiom to protect gamblers from not taking it hard on themselves....you know how some people get to hurt themselves after losing money because of gambling such that can it can get so bad and lead to depression or in some instances suicide...and this is where the  whole "Gambling for fun and not a way of making money" comes into play for users not to take things to heart, treat it as a material things that you can have or lose tomorrow ... otherwise don't get worked out by the literal meaning gambling is indeed about having fun

As in the title made by OP, that is true because I have played gambling in the casino several times just for fun, and it doesn't matter to me even if I lose because my goal is really just to have fun or just pass the time. Although sometimes, even though my motive is just like that, there is also a chance that I will also experience a win.

That's why my winnings always range from around $20 to $50. I get them in slot games and Baccarat when I'm lucky, but I really just want to have fun, and when I win like that, I stop.

The most depressing thing for most of us is, how we handle our gambling results even though we tend to gamble for fun, how do we feel when we record the losses also, because that is also very important.

I don't support the idea that gambling is a cool (sustainable) means of earning money. I can't deny the fact that sometimes I gambled with the intention of multiplying my money, but that doesn't make me forget that gambling is not really the right way to rely on as a source of income because it will cause the gambler more harm, such as becoming addicted and ending up losing all their money. 

Every gambler who gambles for fun could also have it in mind to win in their games because there is no one who prays to lose. Everyone always stays positive and hopes for winning despite having fun, but that doesn't mean that their primary reason for gambling is to generate more income for themselves.
