Well you won't and can't blame anyone for thinking such and that's because the emphasis of the said point can be really confusing especially if the person is a newbie because I believe whether we like it or not the mass public actually believe that gambling is actually a way to earn some cash be it planned or by luck or a better explanation and expatiation on the idea would really go a long way.

I can assure that anything has to be that you are putting money and expecting to gain in any way is not a fun in my own perception indeed it is not. Because it takes your sweat to make the money and energy to stake it in order to win so do you know the meaning of this actual word "stake"on it something it actually means "the risk of harming or losing something very important if an action or decision  doesn't go your way or have the results you expect or want.." so you are telling is actually a fun no I totally disagree on that...

Fun alone is like a escape from reality, it's like gamblers who don't want to keep gambling but only have to lie to themselves that they are getting fun from gambling, the little times that I get fun from gambling is when I have nothing else to do than to challenge myself or my lucky star, just to see if luck is really on my side of such day.

How many casino games are truly entertaining? They are not many at all, I gamble to make money too, like I will be ashamed of saying it? Never, I gamble to make money but in a safer way that won't left me with regrets, we are all here to make money, but over expectations is what's killing many people.

In fact, the meaning of gambling is entertainment but wondering how it changed and became known as a money-maker. This is probably because of these gambling influencers who always say -multiply your money through gambling which changed the mindset of most gamblers, especially beginners. The strategy is quite working so well and many people are encouraged to gamble after seeing some players win the jackpot and become rich instantly. It sticks in their mind and that also gives them a reason why they are gambling already. We even see a lot of poor people gambling hoping to win big time and change their life.

Gambling has never been generalized as entertainment, the streets sees and do it as a way to make more fortune when you risk a fortune or something worthy. However, because betting platforms want to make it socially and inviting for people without looking at it as "gambling", they put it as reward for passion or place for fun but deep down, it's more than that, money are made from gambling and money are lost in gambling, no 2 ways about it.

Gambling is a business transaction, you deposit and try your luck and you win and you get paid or you risk again and lose and they take it from you. If you are good and has a bright head, you can make something and if you are  not, you make nothing, fun or no fun these must happen.

On a general opinion, you're both right and e can however concluded that when we are gambling, we are making a form of any entertainment whether we are that interested in making money from it or not, but the chances is either we win or loose while gambling, so it's very simple to me if you ask me, i will tell that you're paying for the entertainment received from a gambling casino each time you're gambling and this applies to the same way you can pay for any form of an entertainment without the expectation of getting your money back, whlle gambling gives more opportunity that we can earn from it while doing same.
