Group A was played around a couple of hours ago and here are the winners...  The couple of guys who go to the round of 16 are Light and Bisu which is good as I have a three leg parlay of Light, Bisu and Best at 2.01.    Best will be playing tomorrow so hope that wins.

I'll also post some replay vids as soon as the good ones by Tastosis and Tasteless get uploaded at YT.  That's prolly around a couple of days or so.

Group B results.  Don't mind the label 'Group C'.  Liquipedia prolly just made a mistake and didn't want to change the site anymore which is fine.

The last leg of my parlay will be played tomorrow with the bet all depending on Best's performance.  He should win as the guy he's playing against is somewhat new in the ASL.  We'll see...  

And pretty excited to see Jaedong again at Group D.  Not to excited to see him as the favorite vs Shuttle.  Hmmm...

Yet another normal day in the ASL.  Both the guys who are supposed to go through the Round of 16 are going through.  Pretty much uneventful.  I should've just avoided thinking about it much and parlayed the favorites for the past three days.  :/

But yeah...  Here are the results for Group C just a while ago.

Here are the results for groups D to F.  I knew Jaedong would not give his best performance.  I think his best days are behind him and he's the type of SC player who likes taking a lot of risk.  It's good for Bo5 and Bo7 games but not in the group stage format.  The surprise for me was Rain and Mong losing their initial Bo1's. 

The group draws for Round of 16 is tomorrow.

And here it is guys...  The draws for the Round of 16 was done just a tad over an hour ago.  Group A has teo good players in Soulkey and Bisu, Group B has one in Mini who's among the elite, Group C is the group of death with Rush, Best and Light, while Group D is the weakest group among the whole bunch.  But just like Group B, it has one elite player in Snow.

Can't wait for these match ups next week!  Let's see how the books line these match ups...

Group A and Group B of the Ro16 are playing this week.  I think all the favorites should win namely Soulkey, Bisu, Mini and Royal.  Making a parlay out of Soulkey and Bisu is at 1.85, Mini and Royal at 1.95.  Not really that bad...  I mean it's not good value but it's a fair price for both imho.

Group A ended up uneventfully with the guys who were expected to win going through to the round of 8.  Group B on the other hand was a surprise.  Both Mini and Royal lost their first games and Royal not being able to go to the next round.  :/  It's kind of a disappointment really...  Not because I lost a parlay but it would've been better to see him progress rather than Hero.  But it is what it is...

Some nice match ups for the next couple of groups coming tomorrow and on Tuesday...  Best vs Light is close to a coin flip.  But I think Light at 1.80 is a good price since he plays Terran and that in itself is already and advantage.  A parlay with Rush and Snow at 2.05 could also be a good idea.  These guys are possible future champs in the ASL.  Not sure why Snow is listed at the bottom of Group D this season tho.

The match I'll avoid is Sharp vs Mind.  Both are inconsistent and the match is TvT.  Same race matches in SC/BW tend to be unpredictable esp ZvZ.

Here are the results for Group C and Group D.  Every player that went thru to the quarter finals are the guys who are expected to go thru.  There was a slight chance in my mind that Light could go thru tho.  But he's in a group with great players in Rush and Best.  It's basically a group of death as football fans would say it.

Here's what the Round of 8 aka the quarter finals will look like...  Pretty good match ups imho.  They're all going to be played best of 5 games.



The odds are up for the first two matches at Stake.  Best parlayed with Rush at 2.05 should win.

If you guys have been following the SC/BW tourneys like I have, it's pretty clear that the guys who are supposed to go thru and play in the round of 4 are Best and Rush.  The books have them and so do the fans...  But no.  Lol.  I think it's either we'll see an underdog win the whole thing or we see Soulkey winning it again with ease.  Dunno.  Excited to see the next couple of matches.  It wouldn't surprise me if Snow wins against Bisu and will be floored if Mini goes thru.

Just as I thought...  Snow would win against the crowd favorite Bisu and with a resounding win he did.  It was 3 - 0.  As for the one with Soulkey and Mini...  Mini did really well at the first a couple of games.  But man...  What a win in the quarters by Soulkey by winning the last three games in this best of 5.  I think Soulkey will go to the final and win the whole thing again just as he did last year.
