What do you prefer for making untraceable transactions? Cash (paper money) or Monero? Based on your selection, why do you think it's best for said purpose? If paper money goes out of circulation, would you use XMR? Or something else? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

if for daily needs I choose cash (banknotes), it's simpler anyway and the most important thing is that it cannot be traced, aka there is no trace, unless recorded by CCTV. if using monero for daily use will be difficult even though it is simpler and more concise. but the point is that not everyone knows the monero technology.

This is like comparing old school criminal organizations and the new school hehe. Cold cash for the OGs while XMR for the new bloods. I guess I could use XMR if paper money will be out of circulation but the question is will anyone accept XMR as payment? We all know regulator are trying their best to crack Monero's code and they will surely try to police all establishments that will accept crypto. P2P may be the only option but how long will that last?

Cold hard cash is always the way no matter how good the protocol. I haven't kept up on monero as much lately so not sure how iron clad those anon transactions are you can never beat cash. Once offloaded there is no physical way to tie it back to you and if so the actual transaction itself.

Monero has its limitations when it comes to the actual use case while cash is king and if its dollar then it's accepted everywhere and you no need to worry about the value cause in the informal market you will get better price than the actual market rate. But it's applicable only for smaller transactions and moving physical cash in huge chunk is big risk for that monero can be the better option but what about Bitcoin.

Well, they both got good things and bad things goin' on. Cash can be nice and easy if you just need somethin' basic for in-person transactions and ain't worried bout haulin' around physical money. But if you're lookin' to make some lowkey online buys, Monero might do the trick and it gives you more privacy than other cryptos. But it aint perfect.
So yeah, kinda depends what you need and what tradeoffs you're willin' to make. Cash for simplicity Monero if you want more anonymity online.

The old school paper fiat remains the legend in making untraceable transactions. The advantage of has over XMR is that it is not complicated or difficult to use unlike XMR. Infact, you don't even need the consciousness of wanting to conceal your transactions even before initiating the transaction. Once you make payments, the paper fiat leaves you hand immediately and almost untreaceable. This is the same issue with XMR but more complicated to use.

Thanks. @Abiky in this your campaign I see your post more than any y person in fact I don't know any other person except you. Thanks for your effort. And as for the topic I will choose Monero because it is a decentralized system and nobody can trace anyone transaction to anyone but the transaction can be trace to the recipient address but not to someone. If paper money is out of the exchange market then digital money would take over and I gladly use another exchange and not XMR. The inflation is high because the paper currency is controlled by authorities and wealthy men. But where by nobody control money again then things will be alright for everyone to enjoy.

IMO both, but it depends on the situation in which there are advantages and disadvantages. Using paper money, you can't across to other countries just to pay so you need a digital payment and the best way here is a crypto that has a decentralized nature and also has a privacy-centric nature.
I choose Monero in that way. Monero's privacy features, such as ring signatures and stealth addresses, provide a higher level of anonymity compared to traditional cash transactions which are only good for neighboring transactions.

But there's a problem with escrow when dealing with monero. You either need to believe in the recipient or are donating. The reason why people still choose cash is including it's ease of use, cash also acts as a proof of ownership till the transaction is made. i.e. the physical nature of cash itself acts as an escrow. The advantage of monero is you can deal with a large amount across the border and seas while dealing with large amount of cash and taking it from one place to another could be problematic. Monero can be done online with 100% anonymity but the risk of being scammed could be higher than on physical cash deals.

Cash was once considered an effective way to hide transactions in the real world. With the increased use of surveillance technology, it is not as effective as it once used to be. In today's world, almost all transactions are done on the internet. Using cash is not possible on the Internet and that is why cryptocurrencies were invested. The primary purpose was to remove the fiat footprint and reduce transaction charges. With the innovation of technology in the last 10 years, it is now not considered more secure and that is the reason why we see privacy coins in the market. I would say more than cash it is better to use Monero if you want your financial footprint on the internet to be private.

I prefer digital money over monero, and cash money over monero as well, I do not really care about privacy all that much, even if cash money is out of circulation, I would just use digital like I am using right now. Wire transfers, credit cards, and all that is the life right now and I do not remember the last time I needed cash for anything neither, so it is not really a big deal at the moment.
I believe that we just need to do what we gotta do and that is the most important part of it. I would prefer bitcoin over all of them though, so if I could use bitcoin at every turn, then I would use it and never would use neither monero nor fiat at all, but there are times in life when I have to use fiat, so I use it just because of that reason.

cash is still the most effective way to make transactions with no trace. if the transaction is illegal and there is no need for a receipt then the drug cartel knows too well how to do it. Monero sure is quite useful for online transactions, it is just not very safe since the eyes of authorities have been watching this coin for years and who knows you may already be making transactions to authorities. Cash not circulating anymore then XMR could be useful but so is BTC which is pretty much what the merchants are willing to accept than XMR.

Monero is completely anonymous but there are still traces left such as the transaction history. Even if it’s not publicly disclosed, you and the recipient of the transaction still has access to that. They can not see your address as far as I know but anyone can compare transaction history to the one from your wallet should anyone ever check it.
With paper money, as long as you do not get detected or seen taking the cash somewhere then you’re good to go. I think it is much safer to use paper money if you are trying to hide your transactions.
But monero is your best bet if it’s convenience you are thinking about. If your recipient is halfway across the country or the world, then digital money it is.

It depends if its something small and urgent u would use cash and I think I can well cloak myself from the government using cash, but if its huge then I think monero is a very good option in that case and would give me th best privacy I can think off. Nice topic I never thought of comparing both. Monero is completely anonymous but there are still traces left such as the transaction history. Even if it’s not publicly disclosed, you and the recipient of the transaction still has access to that. They can not see your address as far as I know but anyone can compare transaction history to the one from your wallet should anyone ever check it.
That's a very rare case and how would the person get access to your phone or device to start checking transaction history to compare and even if it was done randomly there is every possibility that like 3 or 4 persons did that same transaction that same day, so I think monero is still the best option as long as its online and I want to be private and anonymousjts just like the silk road market. Just pray government crash it or ban it.

This is exactly what I always mention in the context of the use of cryptocurrencies in general as a means of payment. We can have as many cryptos as we want (anonymous or not), but we still have to pay for more than 95% of goods and services with fiat money or e-cash. Most likely, we still have to go through the stage with the widespread introduction of CBDCs, and only after that we will be able to move on to everyday settlements in crypto. Of course, I mean we are talking about legal goods and services.

What do you prefer for making untraceable transactions? Cash (paper money) or Monero? Based on your selection, why do you think it's best for said purpose? If paper money goes out of circulation, would you use XMR? Or something else? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. If someone prefers complete anonymity, they would prefer Monero over cash. Because in the cash transaction, usually the sender and receiver will come to know about each other. That's not possible for Monero unless the sender and receiver share details with each other. So for privacy lovers, monero is a better option and I would choose Monero over cash if I choose to maintain secrecy.

Two have a different purpose, cash paper/money is untraceable once it's already used or deployed in the market or spent it for paying. The only way to determine that it came from you is through fingerprints unless the serial codes or numbers have been recorded before it's given to you. No contest about monero for being a privacy coin and there's no need to talk about it if the matters is about anonymity and privacy. I'd use both to be honest.

I prefer cash (paper money) for transaction but it has a limit and with this limit it can't be used internationally for transaction purpose so in this situation I will go for Monero, I can practically use both rather than choosing one, when it comes to international transactions Monero can serve justice, I normally make use of cash daily and it's just the perfect definition of what the op is asking untraceable transaction, no one can actually trace me with paper money.

Cash is better for small things bought locally, XMR is better for larger or non-local purchases. However the governments seem to be cracking down on both and try to outlaw or at least marginalize these two anonymous payment methods. It will get worse once they introduce CBDCs, because they will phase out cash and will completely outlaw privacy coins.
