This reminds me of my early days of gambling. I  remember I stormed out of the house out of anger. Inorder to clear my head, I joined a few friends at a sports betting shop. Even though I was with friends, I wasn't really at rest. I placed a few bets in that state and I didn't win any of my bets, rather I lost lots of money. The next day after I must have been calm and in a better mental state, I reflected on all the bets i had placed the previous day and I noticed lots of errors I didn't notice while placing those bets because I was too upset to analyze my games before placing bets.

That event has taught me over the years never to gamble and engage in any form of transaction involving money and crucial decision making when i am not in a good state of mind. Even though winning in gambling is all about luck, you still need some level of concentration to think straight inorder to enhance your chances of winning.

Actually it depends on the  person involve in games some of it is like what you said mate that they are not addict bit they will play because they like that game .  But actually in real life there are many people who got addicted than playing their wants it because they can not control themselves and once they involve in gambling they will  got addicted no matter what happen they will play.  And some addict they can't leave gambling In Thier own but perhaps they will need companion.

Hunger is one of the factors that normally makes us to be desperate in gambling making us to what to keep gambling just to make profits by all means. I take it you're talking about when does gambling become a habit? I think everything is fine as long as you play, when you have free time for it, then it will really be like entertainment.
