The idea of embarking on a nation wide strike at the present state of the economy is a nice one but at the same time not a nice one.
HOW?. The government have been aware of the situation of the economy from day one in few months from now it will be one year since the new president of the federal republic of Nigeria was elected and from his first day in the sit we have noticed so many changes, first of all it was the fuel subsidy removal which is one of the most reason why the price of things rose to the worst. Few years back I think it was Buhari's last year in the presidential position he advised Nigerians to focus basically on farming we all scolded him everybody were saying why must we go back to farming what happened to our oil but now u can answer that question yourself if most of us who already do farming now had listened to that by now this whole scarcity won't have had more effectiveness on everyone. The problem is everyone is very much interested in this oil money that even our fathers didn't see rather they worked hard on what could give them their daily meal. Am just using this farming as an example what am trying to say is do what you know is right to survive and let the government things be.

Why should a president (former president Buhari) advice Nigerians to go for farming? That is not good. You can see how congested people in many cities in Nigeria are. If things works rightly, you will see how what the former president said is very wrong. He even said it when herdsmen cattle were led to people's farm by the herdsmen to destroy people's crops.

You said oil. Minimum wage was ₦30000 since many years ago when dollar to naira was around ₦350. Nigerian government are selling crude oil and converting dollar at ₦360 but now selling it and converting at least at ₦13000 now, having more money in naira to pay workers. Why the government have not increased their workers salaries? We need a good reason.

There is a very bad omen attached to strike and that is why it's used to threaten any government in power but in Nigeria and any other country.

it's said that any government that I'd not function for a 24hrs which is a day is term a bad government but in the nation or international organizations and as such there are some punishment attached to it indirectly in the international organizations like, ECOWAS, AOU, UN, etc and this is why most government doesn't want any of that to happen even in other countries they sometimes use force (military) to shut the people up. in that case taking a nation wide strike is very much needed to push this government to a positive side although we know our country it's never going to work even if the strike holds.

If only thia government was lead by a reputable and disciplined individuals then it will take any shape. having it been so corrupt has not let us know peace ever since the past few leaders. no wonder leadership has been revolving around two parties in Nigeria whereas we practice a multi-party system yet another disciplined party can to produce a leader, in as much as this two party keeps producing a leader then I don't expect any good change in the country.

Everything has begin to make sense to me now, even pastor T.B joshua had prophecies on how bad the economy of Nigeria will be in 2-3 leaders hands which he approximately called it 10 years plus suffering before it will be revolutionized.

Additionally, what our ex president said about farming was a good idea but at the same time a bad one, what will happen if he changes the government for better. he brought this slogan of change during his campaign which was introduced by thia incubate president, we thought it was all for the better rather it turn out to be hw worst, I feel like we made some mistakes by not asking the exact change which they were going to bring to Nigeria during the campaign. BTW we are already facing the problems but let's have it faced and hope for the best.

It’s just how we’ve been programmed to think, that farming is the only option for Africans and Nigerians, to produce food and cash crops that would be shipped across the whole nations. Meanwhile, the world have had a shift from having to sell some ground products that takes months and some years to produce into, having to sell ideas and digitalized items.

What stops we in this part of the world from going into tech and having a technology of our own that we could sell to the world. Yeah, these crops are a necessity but, we don’t have to shift from the path the world is heading. Let them take a pause and pursue technology too.

It would had been better if you pointed out what the wrong side of the nation wide strike is because at all ramifications, it is a good action as long it is aimed for what it is which stands for the wellness of the masses in the nation.
You can only say that the so NLC commission are not even to be trusted because once the government is ready for a bribery dialogue, the NLCs would always succumb to sit behind closed doors with the government just as long they have been funded to shut their mouths up.

The so advice the past government led my Buhari wasn't a nice one for a start at all. He can not  just ask the masses to focus on the agriculture as if we don't have natural resources. Why did he not tell the same masses about where our natural resources revenues has been stocked? Hey OP, do not be so flexible for these good for nothing leaders use you. So aside agriculture there are no other means one could profit about? And what are the assistances did the so government agreed to assist the individuals whom may have decided to dive Into this so craving lucrative agriculture? I am not saying that agriculture is not profitable, we all knows the values of agriculture and we don't need to be reminded of it. If the federal government must talk about the masses to engage of the agriculture then they should provide supporting aids to help the farmers in productions.
