I played in a gambling casino here in the cryptocurrency business where I used dogecoin to bet on platform games, and the only good thing about that casino is that the dogecoin came from the faucets that I saved that I also got myself from the casino platform.

I can bet about 0.0001 dogecoin in dice games; it will really take some time if I accumulate it in games. Then later, after a few days of saving, I still lost in the end, even if we say I only got the dogecoin from their faucets. Overall,  it's okay for me to gamble with altcoins.

Gambling will result in losses even a well experienced person wins by losing. The journey of altcoins and bitcoins is much better than gambling losses to enjoy the wins. I will never gamble with bitcoins if I lose the gamble it will be a loss keeping the bitcoins invested will increase in value. Seeing the value of how much I've lost over the year in gambling does put a sour taste in my mouth, but regret is not the word I'd use. I don't like losing money, obviously, but I have to spend money. I can't save or invest everything. The value of btc I have changed to fiat over the year would be a very big investment if I had left it in BTC, but I had to because it's money I needed at the time.

I don't gamble with too much, so I don't regret much, plus I also have winnings from time to time, so it is what it is.

Feelings of regret, especially if we keep remembering it and calculating how much money we would have now if we still kept those coins. I wasted quite a lot of Dogecoin on gambling and also invested with Bitcoin in one of the casinos but the results were not satisfactory, there was nothing to do but accept it made it a lesson not to waste those precious coins and the sentence that said gamble only with the money we can afford to lose is appropriate, including for things like this, so we have to be smart gamblers to control ourselves, not always gamble when we have coins to use but also have to save a few percent so that at times like this we also don't miss the train.

Regret is always in the past and we are all know that. Like nowadays I've regretted because I didn't hold my Bitcoin I'll sell it when the price is around 40k cause my mindset is thats enough profit but today when I'm looking the price I regret on my decision because if I didn't sell my Bitcoins then I have a lot of money now.  Maybe there's a purpose or let say a lesson I've learned is that  taking risk in Bitcoin is good and have a positive impact in the future. I think he mention about being irresponsible because you should play only the amount which we can afford to lose so that we will not regret our decision. However this case is different because the amount that was supposed we can afford to lose when use it in gambling is already appreciated in value that’s why it’s alright to feel regret since you can’t foresee the future price of the token that you use.

I’m one of the user that has a lot of regrets on my altcoins that use on gambling before. But I already move on and focus on my current holdings since the past will never change while soaking on it will just affect our current state.

This is particularly the reason why I've never been a fan of using coin with volatility for gambling, by volatility, I mean coins that have the ability to appreciate and depreciate in price, for its always feels good when ever we are gambling using such coins, and the coin price is dropping in the market, but then, when the price of that coin rises, you discover that you've lost much more than you thought you lost when you played the game.
It's like some losing $100 worth of bitcoin to gambling when the price of one bitcoin was $15,000, if that person goes back now to check how much that same $100 worth of bitcoin then, is worth now that the price of bitcoin has risen to above $60,000, he or she did be amazed to discover that he or she has lost over $500 on that single game.

This is why I've always preferred to spend no other than usdt in all my gambling activities, or other stable coins, or if the casino accept my local currency, then I go with my local currency.
But if it's crypto gambling, usdt or any other stable coin has always been my fav, because with that, I am sure that my $1 loss will always remain $1, and that my $5 or $10 loss, as well will always be $5 or $10.
I might lose a $1000 worth of bitcoin, and one day, when the price of bitcoin has so much risen, discover that that $1000 btc I lost is now worth a hundred thousand dollars, sincerely, it will hurt.

Their is nothing to regret about the cryptocurrency used in playing gambling in the past because cryptocurrency is a form of money that can be used to do anything. Gambling have been existing before the creation of cryptocurrency and even if cryptocurrency is valuable and volatile which is supposed to be invested, it does not stop people from playing gambling because people can still convert their fiat to cryptocurrency just to play gambling.

The currency used in playing gambling does not matter,  what matters most is to play with amount you can afford to lose. What also matters is for one to understand the limits of playing gambling to know when to stop. The currency use to play gambling does not matter but what matters is playing with the amount one can afford.

At first I want to know why you made this topic a self moderated thread for just asking to know how people feels about theirs lost? Well for me I don't look at my lost because whenever a gambler capitalized on their lost or how much they spent using bitcoin or altcoin it will result in regret but most of the time people don't want to reflect back on their lost even though they don't care anymore but it is really affecting minds. If someone calculates the total amount in cryptocurrency used to gamble it would amount to something very meaningful projecting to price of bitcoin currently and the entire cryptocurrency market you would have this feeling of trying to regret about the market.

I've been both investing in bitcoin and gambling with it for the last 10 years and I don't feel any regret. I agree that there's that small afterthought when you go back and think how much money you've once had. For instance in 2016 losing 0.1 bitcoin gambling was nothing, since bitcoin was worth $500 so that was $50 or even less depending on the time of the year because price fluctuated a lot.
You'd be betting 0.1 btc on a single match and laugh when it doesn't go your way, but now, that would be $6k, money that could pay your bills for a year.
You have to draw these thoughts out as there will always be something you could have done better in your life.
