If someone could please advise me where/how to obtain a small bit of bitcoin testnet, that would be greatly appreciated.
I've been trying to obtain signet BTC which seems unobtainable at the moment, and apparently bridging testnet is the best alternative
Alternatively, if someone could send me 0.003 of either testnet or signet BTC, it'd be greatly appreciated
my wallet address is tb1ppjpqdqg0u0400rvp8gguf5s9nntgagq7le25td824a6033flwprqszz99q
thank you in advance for your help!

Just make a simple search on Google like "Bitcoin testnet faucet" then you'll find a bunch of those. I haven't personally tried those but they seems to be working. Google is your best friend, just use it. I must tell you that from those faucets you won't get huge quantities of testnet Bitcoin but at least you can get in small quantities. A member on this forum was giving free testnet BTC in past but now mostly everyone is searching for those testnet coins in order to grad airdrops that's why he isn't giving testnet coins anymore.

Except I missed the working one, I would say that most of the bitcoin testnet faucets are actually working anymore, but like you said, if one is lucky to find one that is still working, it usually pays in a very small quantity, and may take a while to arrive at the number of testnet satoshi op said he needs. I actually did come across a thread on this forum some weeks ago, where a user is selling testnet bitcoins, I've tried searching but cant find the thread anymore, and I can't even remember the board it was posted, maybe op would have made use of that if he eagerly needs the testnet bitcoins and don't mind spending a few bucks to get it.

In actual the Testnet bitcoins are worthless, they have no monetary value but still if someone want to purchase it then who can stop that person. I suggest everyone to avoid purchasing of testnet bitcoin because once you purchased it then you won't be able to sell it when you need your money back. I'm very sure that once this airdrop thing gets halted then generous members of this forum will again offer free testnet bitcoins.

Why would anyone purchase testnet bitcoin as an investment?; to later want to sell it back? That's stupid AF if you ask me. Testnet bitcoin might be worthless in general sense, but those who spend money to buy it actually give it a worth based on how important it is for whatever they want to use it for, and for your information, testnet bitcoins aren't for airdrops purposes alone, developers also use it for testing their products before they make the product live on mainnet. If I was a developer and building a project that requires testnet bitcoin, and the faucets arent giving me the amount i needed for my testing purposes, and I have the money and have an option of buying, would I rather wait for enternity to get the coins for free, or just spend a few bucks on the amount i want and then continue with my work? People spend money on what is really important to them when they can't get it for free, doesn't matter whether it has worth or worthless.

Faucets have dried up, the reward is only 0.012 to mine 1 block and you need an asic to mine and know-how. It costs real money to mine a tesnet coin. You need specialized software and hardware to mine, or you have to rent hashpower... Seems only natural that markets are popping up and people are buying/selling. A simple web search for buy bitcoin testnet coins or something like that reveals places that are selling testnet coins, and they are very cheap, probably just meant for devs who need them and to dissuade free loaders from hoarding like they do on faucets. Testnet hasn't been reset in ages, not sure if it ever will be at this point, but people are going to speculate on anything especially when in demand and limited in amount. I say just spend the few bucks for tesetnet if you need it, at least you aren't buying altcoins!

*visits link and I see* an altcoin exchange with ads Why would an exchange even need ads, don't they earn trading fees? An exchange with ads is strange and a big red flag to me, means no privacy for their users and probably not very secure IMO.

I didn't mean to defend them, but do you think you have a privacy after using an exchange without adds? if you still use a centralized exchange, they will ask your KYC and they're prone against hack. Since in this thread we're discuss about faucet and AFAICS you can claim the faucet without create an account, I don't think there's something need to be worried.

1. I believe 0.012 tBTC is enough for many kind of testing. 2. The tBTC seller probably care who buy their tBTC or reason for buying their tBTC. 3. While it's trust we haven't see testnet reset in very long time, both Signet and Regtest also exist.

I don't think there will be an existing faucet that is profitable now; I think faucets are past their time. Because of the current bitcoin price right now, I don't think there will be faucets that will give much satoshi, or if there are any legitimate faucets out there, I'm sure the profit from them is very small, not worth your time. And also as a reminder, beware of those faucet websites that you may see; they say to think before you think, meaning to be careful of what websites you are going to visit and what websites you will click on because you may encounter faucet websites. That is created for scamming people or hacking people, especially now that hacking and stealing information from people online are spreading, so yeah, if you've found a good faucet, then it's good, but be careful because its hard to trust in websites this days.

That's true, but OP is talking about Bitcoin Testnet (tBTC) faucet, not Bitcoin (BTC) faucet. While some people buy/sell tBTC these days, tBTC supposed to be free/worthless used for testing or development purpose. And while i don't expect average faucet would try to hack or scam you, they usually show ads which violate your privacy and occasionally show shady/scam ads.

Try messaging @notblox1 As far as I know, he lends Testnet Bitcoins, I just don't know if he is still providing this service. I searched for his thread in the Service section, but I don't know why it's currently locked. If ever you borrow from him or others, remember, that returning any unused testnet coins helps maintain the health of the testnet ecosystem for everyone.

Try to look for wallets that offer Bitcoin testnet. Your wallet must be compatible with Bitcoin testnet. You could easily search wallets where you could make a separate wallet for btc testnet coins. From the wallet itself, you would have to adhere to their rules and regulations and specific steps how to create a wallet for Bitcoin testnet.

Better not to try to find bitcoin testnet calls. Because the testnet runs as a completely separate network you can't send tokens back and forth between blockchains. If you try to send real tokens to the testnet address you will lose the token completely. It is better not to take risks to use bitcoins because bitcoin is a very profitable currency. You should be careful before using the websites, they often scam.

they will ask your KYC
AltQuick does not KYC. Users don't even have to register to trade 20+ coins for Testnet if they want to use the Swap tool. Why would an exchange even need ads, don't they earn trading fees? An exchange with ads is strange and a big red flag to me, means no privacy for their users and probably not very secure IMO.
We also own FreeBitcoins.com and get a lot of low-quality traffic, but we don't treat them differently than any other users. We are just trying to keep the lights on and Google ads seem to be tasteful these days. That's me scrapping pennies on a homepage... I might remove that. EDIT: Ad's are off on AltQuicks homepage, but still on FreeBitcoins.Your privacy is your responsibility. You need to take the proper opsec for your lifestyle. The ads are also only on the homepage. The inside of the exchange has no ads. (Same with the accountless Swap tool that allows users to convert multiple coins into testnet or visa versa: https://altquick.com/swap/) That's true, but OP is talking about Bitcoin Testnet (tBTC) faucet, not Bitcoin (BTC) faucet. While some people buy/sell tBTC these days, tBTC supposed to be free/worthless used for testing or development purpose. And while i don't expect average faucet would try to hack or scam you, they usually show ads which violate your privacy and occasionally show shady/scam ads.
That's what we are trying to avoid doing. Keep our faucet free globally, plus keep Testnet coins in circulation for people who want all sizes. We do offer free Bitcoin Testnet on FreeBitcoins and other coins... including Bitcoin when it's not getting pounded empty. Alternatively, if someone could send me 0.003 of either testnet or signet BTC, it'd be greatly appreciated Sent you a million sat, so you can have plenty to play with. If you need more than that, don't hesitate to drop me a message. Testnet coins are worthless. Anyone who sells you a testnet bitcoin is spreading the notion that they have value, and thus cannot be trusted. I disagree with this. Bitcoin Testnet reward is 0.02 coins every 20 minutes. If someone wants 1000 coins they are going to be using a fair bit of electricity and time. It might be a better fit for them to just get their 1000 coins in 10 minutes and keep testing their systems or whatever they are doing with them. I own this exchange and I decided to offer this market. People are lining up on both sides. I don't think that makes me or the users dishonest. Everyone is happy that uses it. The only people upset are the ones who want to wave a magic wand and say "This has no value!!!!" Which is exactly what people have done with Bitcoin!!! FFS look at the shit going around token and coin-wise.... having a semi-healthy tiny nothingness Bitcoin Testnet isn't a bad idea. Development is exploding and circulation is needed.

Bitcoin Testnet reward is 0.02 coins every 20 minutes. If someone wants 1000 coins they are going to be using a fair bit of electricity and time. A better question is: why would one want 1000 tBTC? What do they have to offer that 0.01 tBTC cannot offer? I own this exchange and I decided to offer this market. People are lining up on both sides. I don't think that makes me or the users dishonest. Everyone is happy that uses it. You're just speeding up the testnet reset. The more people treat it as currency, the less purpose it has. You should at least display that these units are worthless and can be reset at any time. The only people upset are the ones who want to wave a magic wand and say "This has no value!!!!" Which is exactly what people have done with Bitcoin!!! You don't understand that mainnet and testnet are apples and oranges. Testnet coins must not have value. It is not open for debate.
