Unfortunately you have not read the terms and conditions before. In online gambling it is a common thing that you can not create more than one account from one IP, household, laptop, family etc.

 There is no explicit mention about IP/Household on the TOS ( https://stake.com/policies/terms ) I think!

Most of the time the terms are not straight forward. For example

4.9 Only one Stake Account per Player is allowed. Should You attempt or successfully open more than one Stake Account, under Your own name or under any other name, or should You attempt or succeed in using the Website by means of any other person's Stake Account, Stake will be entitled to immediately close all Your Stake Account(s), retain all monies in such Stake Accounts and ban You from future use of the Website.

You are not allowed to have more the one account. But how would you prove that another account which is using different name is not under your own control?

When a gambling site like Stake will see same IP address, browsing information from two different accounts, no matter what name they have for these individual accounts the platform will think it's a multi account.

Stake will not ban you if you win since there’s a lot of users that betting huge amount and win without any problem. As explained already by many users above, You clearly violated the ToS for Multiple account. You should declare all the account connected to yours including your friend, wife and others that open using the same IP. You should be careful on sharing IP to a friend since most online casino have strict multiple account rules due to their bonuses and other promotion.

I think you should move your case to 3rd party arbitrator like AG and CG since you need someone to verify your documents. But I really doubt case like this can be solved by providing documents since the ToS clearly stated what will be the possible repercussion on doing it.

It is suspicious when a new account is created from the same IP. Multi accounting is prohibited in most casinos and probably sportsbooks too. They've mostly halted your account for the same reason as from their side, it'll look like you are trying to bypass the restrictions that they've put on the 1st account. Do contact support and follow the instructions diligently. Some sportsbooks might even confiscate without asking, as they'll auto consider it as ban evasion or multi accounting(which is wrong but makes their job easier) and keep the funds in a form of damage control. I read a similar accusation against Stake from another user yesterday here on this board and I am kind of wondering if you both are the same person or if the person is your husband, besides, to the best of my knowledge,  what do you guys do was multiple accounting which is against most casinos terms and conditions, since from your statement it clear that you and your husband hard accounts on the stake before making this new one when you get limit placement on the previous account.


Just like others asked in the other thread, did stake hold you from withdrawing the winnings, if yes then you can call them out but if it is just the bet limit placement, then I think it is somewhat understandable, that they may have discovered possible abuse from your IP and hard to place that limit to save their business.

That is just the simple truth, their IP address might have shown double going against the laydown rules, base on her explanation it's not wrong with two accounts if it's different IP but in this case it seems like it's the same.

Indeed what we did seems to be against TOS but we weren’t aware of it. As I said, I didn’t even know casinos would ban players if they had a winning streak.

Stake is holding my whole balance for now. I will comply with what they are asking and send all the documents they need.
I am just asking for the money to be sent, not the limit to be raised again (although ultimately i would like to be able to keep on playing)

It is not about winning streak it is about multi account which is not allowed in Stake casino.

Ignorance of the terms and conditions does not exempt us from being penalized or banned.  That is the reason why many of the members here who are frequently gambling always say to read the terms and conditions to know what is the right thing to do.

At first, your account was not banned, it was only given a limit to bet in certain gambling area.  You could have inquired about it and asked for the best move than circumventing the restriction or limit imposed to your account by creating another account.  You could have a strong stance if only you did not create another account to bypass your restriction.  I think that there is a high chance that you already lost the funds on both accounts since you agreed that they have the right to confiscate funds if found violating their TOS.  But you can still try to make an appeal and request at least to return your deposit,  hopefully, they will, if you make such a request.

The main problem here is the IP, since you and your husband were on the same IP, that looks like multiaccount.

Casinos don't ban accounts when they win, the first look for an excuse to ban it, and 2 accounts on the same IP is a justified reason to block your account. I know it sucks because with KYC you should be able to prove how both accounts was from different users. But the stake support is really hard to deal with nowadays, i stop using the site because they ban me from the chat for 6 months. And even if i talked with them and told them it was a mistake they decided to hold the ban. Usually, support should give a warning to the user before a 6 months ban, but they have their politics about how to deal with users. From my point of view it was a rude move and they lose a customer.

As others were saying, since you used an IP address that is already being used by your husband, Stake's system flagged it as a multi-account regardless of whether there are actually two different people with different accounts. They'd probably clear you after proving your identity, and it's possible that your limits might decrease as well, so my advice is get your money, try to look for another casino that accepts huge bets (if you're planning to), and explain what happened with you and Stake so they can tell you what to avoid on the new platform.

Most of these restrictions are triggered automatically if something didn't pass their checks. You should be good after submitting KYC, and they'll explain to you that no two accounts shall use the same IP on their platform. Never experienced it, but got this answer from a casino operator a while back.

There have been many similar cases in the past, and as far as I can remember none of them have been resolved positively for people who have duplicate accounts from the same IP address.

It's not "illegal" but it's against the casino rules. I think that some casinos allow this (or don't have anything against double accounts), but anyway, before you decide to make a new account from the same IP to avoid some restrictions you should take a peek at their ToS or contact support agents and ask them if can you do it or not. But you decided to act on your own and you got into the problem... I hope that you will be able to withdraw your deposits, I think it's the max you can get back from all this.

What you did is prohibited in every platform, you can't create multiple accounts using the same IP address, if you do, you will either get banned or restricted and then asked for identity verification.

Could you quote the paragraph of TOS saying that please? Because as it has been explained before by several people, ToS don't prohibit it obviously. So the casino has obviously taken an illegal action against its own rules by doing that. If you open an account from the same residential or professional network as someone else you don't even know, your account would be banned and your funds locked while you have been not even aware of doing something that could be wrong in any way. This kind of rule would be totally unfair and abusive.

yes it was against the casino's TOS, only one IP per account is allowed and in this case your husband created an account with the IP and when you created another account the casino system marked 2 accounts on the same IP in this case the casino blocks both accounts, One thing I've always been telling people is that gambling should not be seen as a source of income or a means of getting rich quick, your husband had not been blocked, by being limited he could continue betting following the casino's rules which are not In this case, it would be to comply with the limits established by the casino and you would not have any problem because you were already winning and would still be playing, albeit with a low bet value, but the greed of wanting to win a lot led you to create another account.

and it's funny that someone came to this forum yesterday to talk about a problem similar to the one you reported here and as you are also talking about stake, I assume we are dealing with the same person, and he is telling similar stories but with some changes that leads me to think that the reason they are limited must be related to the game provider having detected some cheating or suspicious behavior which is why they limited the amount of bets, I suggest you be honest about what really happened, being honest and sincere helps a lot to other people realize what the problem is, a reliable casino like stake is always cautious with the measures they take so as not to commit injustice, I highly doubt they would limit someone's account without having a very strong reason

It's kinda simple; read their terms and don't break them (a lot of casinos forbid multiple accounts). Never give them a reason to ban/freeze/block your account. It's sad that its already happened, but now just try to learn from it and continue on a different (trusted) casino that offers whatever you guys like to play!

In fact, it's common sense. OP's husband made some huge wins and his account got limited. They created a new account to curcumvent this limitation and be able to place big bets again. So, it's normal if the second account or even both account will be banned for trying to cheat the system.

Why, op, don't you know that multi- or dummy accounts are prohibited in casino gambling here in the crypto business industry? Didn't you read their rules and policies about that? Because, from what I know, once they find a violation, your account will be frozen for sure.

She clearly stated that they only opened a new account so the husband could circumvent the limits imposed on his account. It’s a clear cut admission of collusion.

If she had created her own account while there wasn’t any restrictions on the husband’s account and used it in good faith for her own gambling they might not have gotten flagged, and if they did they might have a stronger case against forfeiture of their funds.

You did not violate any rule betting the same options with our husband or anyone, I think it is the casinos acting funny. Well, before I conclude, is there anywhere it was stated in their terms and conditions that such actions is prohibited? Did you try to read up on their terms and conditions in the first place? If they clearly stated that such actions are unacceptable, then their act is justified. But the tune of your post suggest that the casinos is acting funny.

In my country, there are times games are shared on social media and thousands of people will play the same thing, the same game and sometimes win so much that the casinos will have to pay in batches. This has happened on several occasions yet the casinos eventually paid and never denied anyone their winnings. Therefore, I think there is a problem with the casino because I did not see any violation here.

All the casinos here in crypto gambling are really not allowed to have more than one account because, for sure, you will have problems there when it comes to withdrawal. That's why, if the gambler knows from the beginning that multiple accounts are not allowed, they will not be tempted to create more than one account.

But if it's just an IP address and the KYC submitted to the casino is different, I just don't know if a casino platform allows it in the crypto space we live in.

Yes you are all right and I understand my mistake.
I just have to hope Stake will understand my situation. At this point, there is nothing else I can do. I admitted my guilt and the reason for it.

For the person asking how much we bet, we were betting around $2000 per game. I don’t know exactly how many but around 20 games would be my guess. The last day we won all 6 bets which resulted in the ban. At that time I thought it was just a problem from the account. The support should have told us that they banned us because we won and can’t play again in my opinion but it doesn’t matter after all. If making a new account from the same household is restricted, then again, i am guilty.

Stake won't understand the this mistake unless you make them realize your mistake, prove to them that you and your husband are on this together, and make sure your husband also pass KYC too, this is the only way forward.

I hope you have learnt something from this, don't ever repeat such again because any online casinos can't be held responsible for this type of matter, because you broke their rules and regulations first, they have every reasons to misbehave with your account and the money on that account.

My advice for you is this, before doing anything on your casino account always make sure you read through the ToS very well, make sure that what you are about to do won't get you into trouble next time.

Do you have two accounts under one IP address? Maybe that's why you got blocked for multi-accounting.
Maybe Stake customer support will unblock the withdraw option if both you and your husband perform KYC.
Did you read the Terms of Service of Stake.com before deciding to open another account?
It's weird that there is a maximum bet limit for sports betting, but I don't use Stake.com anyway so what do I know.
