People keep investing in BTC despite the recent pump due to believing Bitcoin will still hit higher price levels soon. Investors are bullish on Bitcoin. They consider the bull run has just begun, therefore it's still profitable to buy more coins. Maybe they also do DCA, so they would buy anyway, being BTC cheap or expensive. Others might be late investors who are facing FOMO (fear of missing out), so they finally decided to acquire some coins.

There are many reasons which can motivate someone to invest in Bitcoin right now. Inevitably, there will be always people buying Bitcoin, including those moments when the market is turning from bullish into bearish, as we have already seen in every cycles so far in Bitcoin market. The advisable moment to buy was when the price was pretty stable around 40,000$ price range, though, as members of this forum have been saying constantly.

I'll have to agree with some commentors on this thread that says that the reason why more people are still investing in Bitcoin despite it's massive price pump is because of FOMO, especially for newbie investors, and who can blame them or anyone else that's still accumulating, experienced speculators have predicted that price will reach $150k in the peak of bull run. So if all the speculations and predictions are anything to go by, then I think that it's still safe to keep buying and hodling, because with this relatively high price now, it still assures of %100 profit in approximately one year's time.

Op You lie but I will not blame you because you didn't gotten experience on the previous All Time High (ATH). The previous All Time High was  $69,000 and bitcoin only hit $69,000 so it has hit the new all time. Therefore for bitcoin bronchitis the new All Time High, it most hit from $70,000 and above then we will experience the new all time high. Though most of us didn't see the previous All Time High but we have read it from different sources so there is nothing hidden there again.

There is fear because of the uncertainty of the price today because as bitcoin hit $69k, immediately it rush back to $65k so there is fear in the market right now.

I'm not investing now, but investing when the bull run only just begun is not a horrible idea, but you need to take profits at a later stage, otherwise you could even miss out on profits entirely and have to sit with a loss for the next bear market, which is pretty bad.

The price right now is not only at ATH, but also at the peak of the previous cycle, and we can expect that the next peak will be way higher, like it always was before.

Those investors who are investing in Bitcoin when the price is near ATH, are simply average Joes with no understanding of the market. They look at the price of Bitcoin when it's low, then they think that it's a scam, and then they think that it's going to fall, then it doesn't fall, it rises again, and they still hesitate to buy it, then it rises again, FOMO kicks in, it reaches phenomenal price and then they buy it but now it's too late, the bubble busted and thanks to the late investors, other people are making a profit.

I don't buy during ATHs, I only make short sell but it's very risky too. Btw sometimes I buy during ATH when I want to make a Bitcoin transaction.

This is just because of a very simple reason, If you would go back into Bitcoin's history and performance, you would see that each time that Bitcoin breaks its previous ATH, there's usually a huge momentum increase in the price to the up side, and secondly when the inflation rate is also on the increase, people usually run for safety, into safe heaven assets like Bitcoin, Gold, and real estate and just as we currently have inflation rate going high and many other reasons, including new investors coming into the space to buy Bitcoin.

I think those who invested at the time of ATH are idiots because there is one simple rule in Crypto trading and that is almost applicable in all situations where a coin makes new ATH and people are so bullish and greedy that they want to book their profits at that time and a huge selling takes place and in result, the price of that coin started to go down. So, those investors should not invest at ATH instead they should at least invest after some time when the market will take some correction.

For example, BTC did not remain there for much time and instantly went below $68k and now sits below $62k even. This is the right time to invest in BTC. If let's assume I am investing at the time of ATH while the halving is yet to occur, there will be only one reason behind it, and that halving itself, because I would prefer long term investment, and I know after halving BTC will definitely make its ATH and then I can book profit, but buying high and selling high is less profitable from buying low and selling high.

I think that we will always undoubtedly have investors no matter what the price is, for different reasons, ranging from the simple fact of having bitcoin,  and supporting the community, buying-selling and hodler, it is true adoption. Now, in the case of ETFs it is a conditional adoption, directed, oriented and certainly coercive. But, it is adding up as a part adoption, not the whole, and perhaps they only see profitability.

For me, as a part of the DCA strategy, I would accumulate at the ATH as well. We're not sure what the ATH will be. However, after ETF approval, there are a lot of new and institutional investors investing in Bitcoin. On the other hand, halving is very near, and we are expecting a very bull run after this halving. But nobody knows how high it could reach and how the price would move, it could continue to go up or it could go down and have a price correction.

Well, in the first place, they never and we never knew that was already near to the ATH. Even if it reaches $69,000 today still, we can't say that was already the new ATH until the market turns bearish again. These people are buying for one reason, to take this earning opportunity in the short term. I know most of these people are not new in the crypto space and already have some bull run experience which is why they have some courage to take risks during the uphill trend because they believe that the price will continue to pump after halving.

The only logical reason to do it is if you are using a DCA strategy, anyone else is probably just a victim of FOMO, since an investor is supposed to find a good entry point and buying at the ATH of an asset is not a good entry point at all, bitcoin gave investors years to invest in it, and if they did not took advantage of that period of time that is their problem, that being said bitcoin will grow even further and investors may be willing to invest in it thinking about this possibility, however this does not erase the fact they could have invested sooner and get more profits in this way.

FOMO is the only reason why they keep buying even though bitcoin has reached its ATH, currently bitcoin has experienced a fairly large correction (down more than 6%) from its highest price. Some investors keep believing bitcoin has potential will raise more higher price although current bitcoin have near future with ATH, but I don't think good ideas push our self for investing in bitcoin since price almost raise with at ATH.
Looking with current bitcoin price dropping drastically and better waiting or patience awhile for going back or get correction and has chance to buy back on lower price. Some time we need avoid with positive feeling in trading and must forward research and potential correction for bitcoin after success breaking out the most highest price.

One reason for me, I don't know if there's others that have said this but I swear I'm not copying them, the reason why I do DCA even though the price is close to the previous ATH and that I'm not getting much value compared to when bitcoin was still around 20k is by the fact that I've said to myself that I'm not going to sell anytime soon and that the only time that I'd sell my bitcoin is when it reaches 200k which I know is absurd but keep in mind that bitcoin's growth over the years is absurd so why not just shoot for the moon, when you can go to the stars. This kind of thing also helps me not spend my bitcoin for stupid stuff, it kind of gives me the drive actually that I'm not spending and I'm just accumulating bitcoin.

This is also the reason why bitcoin has increased in price recently as the flow of money into the market through bitcoin ETFs is increasing. But I think the main factor is the benefits and advantages that bitcoin brings us. In our world there is no decentralized currency like bitcoin, no asset with a finite supply like bitcoin...and many other great things. Bitcoin's breakthrough is the main factor, what we should focus on to be able to trust and invest in bitcoin more. Think about it, if bitcoin didn't have those special features, would a bitcoin ETF be approved?
