SHUGACOIN
fastest PoW blockchain
https://shugacoin.org
The meaning of Azula
shugacoin's first node software is called by Azula.
  • Azula replaces the word Core (ie: Bitcoin Core). We think it sounds a bit centralized.
  • The name is inspired by a character Azula from the film Avatar: The Legend of Aang
  • Core uses Sugarchain which we love

Specifications
  • Block time: 5 seconds
  • Difficulty: ShugaShield-N510 (based on Zcash's modification of Digishield)
  • Block reward: 42.94967296 SHUGA
  • Halving interval: 12,500,000 Blocks (approx. 2 years)
  • Total supply: 1,073,741,824 SHUGA
  • PoW algorithm: YespowerShuga (based on Yespower 1.0.1)
  • 40001 / RPC 40002
  • Premine: None (No ICO, No Presale, No Founder's Rewards)

Satoshi Nakamoto talked about the importance of decentralized mining in his whitepaper. We want to create a blockchain that anyone can do mining easily without any entry barriers.

  • CPU mining only:
    • YespowerShuga (based on Yespower 1.0.1) is only for Shugacoin, not compatible with other Yespower coins.
    • The minimum difficulty (powlimit) is set low enough for two reasons. The first is to handle fast block time; The second is to allow mining on slow CPUs.
  • Mining efficiency:
    • According to the test results, the most efficient is using 8 threads on a single CPU.
    • YespowerShuga is more suitable for older CPUs, because it is essentially a multi-threading resistor. Suitable for smartphones and raspberrypi.
  • NO GPU: GPU mining is not possible.
  • NO ASIC: ASIC mining is not possible.
Other advantages
Native segwit (Bech32) address built-in by default: Starting with shuga1q...
Fast blockchain synchronization: Using sha256d in header indexing, the initial synchronization speed is as fast as Litecoin

Of course there is pre-mine.
It came out March 1, then the ANN today. Unless it was posted before somewhere else... but who looks anywhere other than here? ;-)

I see it completely differently.

I haven’t encountered this interesting and fun project for more than a year. Finally my CPU can boil and fight.

The block production speed of this coin is real. It is almost as good as Kas. I hope to see it on the exchange soon.

What the people above said about the block production speed of this coin is true. The mining feeling is the same as mining Kas coins for the first time. I hope this project has good planning. Let’s go to Mars together.

It's intriguing to learn about Shugacoin's focus on decentralized mining and its emphasis on CPU mining specifically. This one-CPU-one-vote concept aligns with Satoshi Nakamoto's vision of creating a blockchain accessible to anyone without entry barriers.
Regarding CPU mining, could you share more insights into how Shugacoin ensures mining accessibility and efficiency, especially for users with older CPUs or those using devices like smartphones and Raspberry Pi? Additionally, with GPU and ASIC mining not possible, how does Shugacoin maintain its security and decentralization?

I don't think smartphones nor RasPi units are capable. What kind of hashrate can an RasPi make with Yespower?
I suggest you rent, if you can't mine. (I will try with my old RasPi3)

It is a good way to get your toes wet without having to buy an EPYC machine.
